Nice but is not its name

of distortion pedal classic three pots (volume, tone and gain). 9v AC outlet. true bypass

I found the location of the power supply plug to properly bond embarrassing his pedals.

    UTILIZATION

very simple. I wanted a distortion that sounded better than a boss and I realized that this was the best result with little gain for another boost pedal or drive the amp.

will gain crunch "means" good little distortion to the 70's. Do not expect to find a huge reserve of gain. Distortion III the name is misleading, here we are in the presence of a muscular overdrive.

    UTILIZATION

very simple. I wanted a distortion that sounded better than a boss and I realized that this was the best result with little gain for another boost pedal or drive the amp.

will gain crunch "means" good little distortion to the 70's. Do not expect to find a huge reserve of gain. Distortion III the name is misleading, here we are in the presence of a muscular overdrive.

knob the tone and gain are very progressive but I missed the closeness of the beach (not enough substance and too mini), which reduces its capabilities. to the volume when it makes a big jump to 13h (where we find the volume bypassed) which makes it difficult to adjust.

    SOUND QUALITY

one of which has his hand to a bit of tone and gain.

Its vintage style 70's, it smells the led zep. the grain is nice, plus a super overdrive Boss but cooler than the drive channel of my amp (lionheart lamp).
according regulate according to him you can even find a bluesy side very nice. (I have a P90 handle that love it!)

For my part, I used to have a grain different from the amp (it is set to have pretty nearly the same gain) and I boost Fulltone OCD with one to give it a modern and acidity that demand contemporary music.

therefore giving the MXR for the 70's, 80's for ocd, and 2 for the 90's and 2000.

    OVERALL OPINION

used for 1 year, this is the pedal + "cheap" my PB but it remains. Bosses, they have been less fortunate. the Bypass is true for many.

In short: a very good alternative to sd2 a 2nd channel to a small single-channel all-tube, a drive to boost, it will delight lovers of blues and 70's rock, but do not expect a plant to gain her dress roge and his name foreshadowed.

    blablabla ...

as all the plug is mxr super misplaced!

    UTILIZATION

easy ... everything is ok except the output knob makes a jump to 14h race of knob ... before it is a little deaf, it breathes not then suddenly half a millimeter but it breathes it face ... it's a bit annoying in order to balance off with the amp's clean ...

    SOUND QUALITY

one grain thick enough, I love ... with the tone around 9am-10am and the gain low enough, just when it starts to driver, we have a nice little hot disto ... I love ...

    OVERALL OPINION

it's a shame that little knob on the default output too gradual and linear ... otherwise I really like ... the price is reasonable ...

The MXR M115 Distortion III has a really nice tone quality to it and is usable for other genres besides blues. I have only use this with guitar and I probably wouldn't recommend it for use with any other instrument, although it would work fine. I just think the specific tone this has it probably best with guitar. It is great for playing blues lead lines and also works great as an all around rhythm guitar overdrive.

The general configuration and set of the M115’s couldn't be easier. It has three knobs - one for level, one for tone, and one for gain. After a few minutes of playing around with this, you should be able to figure out what everything does exactly and get a qu…

    UTILIZATION

The general configuration and set of the M115’s couldn't be easier. It has three knobs - one for level, one for tone, and one for gain. After a few minutes of playing around with this, you should be able to figure out what everything does exactly and get a quick good sound from it. It is easy to get a light, subtle overdrive or to get a nice thick tone. I don't have a manual for this, but like most MXR manuals, it is probably pretty thorough. This being said, the pedal is easy to figure out and most probably won't need a manual.

    SOUND QUALITY

    very very clean sounding.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the M115 for about four or five years. While I don't use it all the time, when I am looking for a specific type of overdrive, this can work like a charm. Boss has a reputation for make quality products, and this pedal definitely fits that bill. It would be hard to break and has a great overall tone quality. The price, like most Boss pedals like this one, is quite cheap and players on all budgets could probably afford one of they wanted it. If you play blues and are looking for an overdrive that isn't too heavy, I definitely recommend taking a look at this. They aren’t expensive and they sound great, that’s a definite buy right there in my opinion.
