I use a 2 X 12 cab for a Pop-Punk-Rock style very year 70-80 and we find ourselves grain of his own in this period especially in the part Punk rock well recess.

This is the British Its a pure state, a sound that quickly crunch has its low level but what makes its charm, slightly soiled with supports medium and low gloss but not too bulky which will deserve to be légèrememt raised by more bass EQ to come tickle sound very 70 if it sticks Fuzz there.

Personally I love, I have tried other HP JENSEN, CELESTON, EMINEMCE and you just know what we want, because for me, they each have their Reference and style of its own V30 for rock metalheads, the EVM12L for hard real big sound and JENSEN P…

Penssez 2 min amp already equipped with its HP technicians with skills, it stuck in the HP amps that made their success so it is not for nothing, so with regard to the greenback, we find in the Marshall Bluesbreaker, the Blackstar Artisan15 well recess AC30 and AC15 eternal which are still equipped.

    End of argument ...

The HP of the british invasion!

I mounted it in my HP Fender Deluxe Reverb for britaniser and warm up a bit. I use a transistor fuzz circuit and combining with Jensen C12K home provides a great thing with humbuckers but slamming into the very acute with single coil. I first replaced by a C12K Weber 12F150. Overdriven sounds are better defined but still sharp slap (the C12K and 12F150 are finally close enough). The Greenback is awesome! It softened the treble without tarnishing the grain. Mediums give a lot of "dog" and character and can move better in the mix with a color really british. The bass are not invasive (much better, we always put too!). Low power handling (25W) so the volume gaffe! I connected a power attenuato…

In short, great for HP and attractive grain genuine rock'n'roll!

Two cabins G12M Greenback and G12H, 20 years (save water).
sounds a clear, warm and bright. They ragissent instantanment shots to MDIA. These are dynamic HP trs, trs own.
I had to try three dozen different HP and Varis, at Celestion, Eminence and Jensen for years.
Prices are more affordable these days (thank you euro) I quip in two 4x10 cabs with two 2x10 G12M Greenback bought 89euros pice. Again, this is a real treat. is a well-shuffled with a second team of cabin 2XG10L35 and 2XG12T75.
With the exprience? yes I would do without this choice hsiter. Now, if you want HP's most powerful but not in colors as mdiums Vintage30, I recommend the Century Vintage 60W 98db ...

    Vintage 30 excellent.
Greenback 25 ... even better is the top IMHO.
G12H30 .... s also a superb sound, halfway between the Vintage 30 and Greenback.
    G12K100, must love ...
G12T100, plutt Designed to be alone in a cabinet or combo with one HP, but bites plutt Try the well-shuffled with G12T75 V12-60 or X-shaped, 4 * 12 especially if you have any hybrids or Mosfet100 heads.
Century Vintage trs .... nice .. and well equilibrated (especially lightweight: 1.7kg 4.7kg for the Vintage 30, for example). It's really an HP discovering. Personally I prfre at Vintage 30.
G12T75: arrtez to say anything ... we must try to understand it better. It is designed to be in 4x12 and turn heads with Marshall 100 watts, and nothing else, then combines 2 or 2 with other types of 97dB HP G10L35 .....( looking for prf ence versions made in England of the 80s ...)

I have this HP for months qq
in fact I do not use it because it is not what I wanted and I'm cherhce a spare.
    so it's a G12M25 CELESTION Greenback, 20W, 16 Ohm, Series Heritage
The series is suprieure of Celestion more CHRE, best matrial, manufacturing and non-Asian English and running the HP.
HP is a great, to give you an ide it is mounted in the Marshall 1974X (18w lamps, the first reissue marshall)
the sound is a crmeux characters, a smooth chouilla fat, not aggressive at all, extremely hot and trs prcis, for it is really a thundering.
should be those who love the retro 60's kind of Bluesbreakers rock or hard rock late 60 early 70s

cot essay I had more than 10 HP DIFFERENT so I find myself a little. what's on was that this one is exceptional, parsc a matter of taste, if you like the fender sound, c not what you need

    Awesome breakup

    Celestion G12M GreenbackPublished on 06/18/11 at 08:33
The Celestion G12M Greenback has been the staple of classic rock tone for the past 30+ years now. It has been used successfully on recordings throughout the years ranging from Hendrix to Loudness. The Greenback comes in 12’’ format with a 25 watt power rating, 8 or 16 ohm configuration and a ceramic magnet.

The Greenback is the standard when it comes to that old school early speaker breakup tone. It has a lower wattage rating, and it’s a lot easier to push into speaker distortion than the higher wattage speakers. While some types of music don’t want this, that speaker distortion is part of its charm.

While some types of music don’t want this, that speaker distortion is part of its charm.

First of all, the speaker I’m reviewing is actually the Chinese one. There are about 5 or more Greenbacks on the market, and they all sound different. The Heritage, Classic, Pre-Rola, etc. all have different sounds going for them. There are different camps that argue as to which is better, but that’s not really part of this review. I’m just going to describe my personal feelings towards the standard Chinese version that you can find in the Marshall 1960TV cabs.

These speakers have a little bit of a bite to them, but they’re fairly pleasant in sound. They work awesome with Marshalls, but they can also work pretty well with a cranked 5150. One thing people worry about is the wattage, but in reality, these can handle closer to 30 watts per speaker, so there’s no real issue when running these with a higher wattage amp such as the 5150. Not only do they sound great, but they record fairly easily, too. If you ever get the chance to try out one of those Marshall cabs with the Greenbacks in them, I highly recommend trying them out. It’s probably my second favorite speaker out there.
