2 microphones super 58 (ceramic unlike Japanese models that are alnico) with each volume / tone
Bois rare burl mapple .... it's flamed maple with a fairly rare. buttons, the tailpiece and the pickguard is wood.
3 piece maple neck with 22 frets.

UTILIZATION

Very comfortable handle, finer than the es 175.
Guitar shallower than the 175, closer to the size of the epiphone joe pass emperor.
I changed the bridge for a model allows precise adjustment of the guitar.

SOUNDS

I bought it to play bop. the sound with the original microphone is good for the style, but seemed to miss the use of attack, bite. the neck pickup has been replaced by a Gibson 57 classic. The guitar seems transfigured .... But suddenly, the big step with acute micro home ... unbalanced position 2 and 3, so the replacement of the micro sharp as can be expected.
I use a Mesa Boogie Mark IV and it is simply the holy grail ... Not yet tested on another amp ....

OVERALL OPINION

I had gone to buy a Gibson 175, but each time there was something that bothered me (too thick to handle me finish "risky" on most models that I tried ...). Against by the sound of the Gibson remains the standard history for me. I thought about the Ibanez George Benson GB 200 which is like a Gibson without flaws, but it seemed silly to change the pickups on a guitar of € 3800 ... After a test store was the fell in love with this guitar at the violin (confirmed by the advice of a luthier). So here .... Eventually I will buy a L5, but much later ... Or a guitar luthier .... but I think I'll go a long way with this upgraded ibanez ... Attention However, a check each model because I think the manufacturing quality must be variable ...
