UTILIZATION

Installation without problem even if I have a sound card Hercules DJ 7.1 for the games but there is no conflict

I like the sound of + in + every day, I would add that the ASIO I / O SPDIF behave like the other outputs (ie cheese and dessert) which is 4 real inputs and 10 outputs real. I measured the signal / noise goal record that is 108 dB>> amazing for that price.

GETTING STARTED

Kontakt standalone turns, simultaneously with Traktor and Carbon using the Realtek chip for six other outputs. No conflict, everything is nickel.

211 euros while Thomann, it seems fair.

If it holds up over the long term and that TerraTec developed the monitoring software, I will install may be the same on my bike Terratec production (phase 28 is installed on the bike together)

UTILIZATION

Installation could not be simpler, no incompatibility encountered.
The control panel is clear, very intuitive, no problems to use.
The only downside is the manual that is provided only in English but which can easily happen.

I use it mainly with sonar and SoundForge but in terms of drivers it is imperative to use ASIO drivers if you plan to do the monitoring software to avoid latency enormous.

This is my first sound card I use to make the home studio so I can not compare it to a autre.En any case I am completely satisfied for my use (taking voice and instrumental composition hiphop) .
It is a complete sound card, efficiency, and remains more easy to use.
It gives off a pure, very pleasant to listen (which is still better to be amplified).
Record-level, like, nothing wrong to me.
Parcontre is clear that we should not be afraid to add more RAM to your config if you encounter problems of flow in reading.
Purchased on homestudio.fr 140euros, I believe that the price / quality ratio is diffilement beatable.
If I had to make another choice, I would do the same it's clear!

UTILIZATION

The installation is hard nickel, consider putting the card on a PCI irq which is not shared at the lowest possible level of the motherboard, and empty as far as possible of any motor function type fan.
the app is installed nickel, at least in xp. I download any drivers directly on the site TerraTec (driver 5.22, one provided on the CD is the installation of 5.21). No drivers for linux as usual, the drivers must go through common Envy24.

Config panel is clear: I use 4 pots at all, and I will. Only BMOL, it's cute to propose to change the colors of the panel, but I'm saving my skin leaving it always recharge the default! it's not what's going to m'empcher cost of the same but when zic -> -1!
Another thing, it is sometimes impossible to use at the same time using several software resources of the card. I think that is what is called full-duplex, well this card does not gre or so I not found the trick.
Crash of the lamentable pc when I try to send the phase 28 of the 24 bits give from Foobar2000.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since May 2005, and is happiness. My goal to get the silent linear and without breath. My old Audigy2 compared his style gave me a 'loudness', including acute taient nazillards mediums. I use the phase 28 as a 3-way crossover, outputs 1.2 and 3.4 for low to midrange + treble, treble 5-6, is one of the advantages of having the multi-channel. Many cards low-end could have been me this service, but not with her as well Defines. In terms of functions purely 'studio' (latence. ..), I have no way of telling you if the height of the sound reproduction.
