This mic has a nice sound definition, as the male voice, female, on an acoustic guitar.
However, should get a good distance, too close to the bass is a bit messy.
The downside may be the suspension that is skewed: annoying when you have a screen.

The quality / price merveilleux.Mais with a bigger budget to attack me I will MXL Genesis. For the same budget, I make this choice without any problems.

9 or PAD for not cutting down, but I bought it knowing so 9. -1 As against by not carrying case, will have to buy me one. So in the end 8.

OVERALL OPINION

I just have this morning. I just do a test in my home studio on my voice and my guitar folk. I took the test in comparison with an Audio-Technica AT3035 and an AKG C451EB. A test in future with other studio mics (Neumann and various others) will act as an edit of this notice.

After setting gains, the MXL is distinguished by its slightly higher sensitivity to the other two pickups. It is not blowing, excellent dynamic.

Singing voice: the AT3035 was down in the bass attacks "boxes" are perfect for heavy rock with a dive in the desired medium. Acute clean but not necessarily distinct saw the medium delivered from the microphone. The C451 is superb, true to himself with a different balance of AT3035: the upper midrange and treble are highlighted, perfect to bring out a voice in a mix loaded. The lower medium has something interresting but the bass is back. Superb grain remaining. The MXL9000 a low lamp features: this plush, the midrange and treble are beautiful, and the whole is very well balanced, unlike the previous two microphones. The momentum is below the AKG C451, but no surprises.

Speaking voice: same remark as above for the three microphones. But by the Audio Technica is unpleasant. The AKG451 will do but a little too bright. The MXL 9000 is very well balanced, a little cousin to Neumann (to be confirmed with the prospective test), the bass is soft as desired, adding a definite plus to the color of the voice colored micro sum (normal for a micro lamps ...).

Guitar: The AT3035 attacks highlighted the pick (too) high, but why not give the desired rhythmic effect sometimes, lack of bass but why not for direct investment in a mix loaded. The AKG is bright, but well balanced overall and is doing its undeniable quality. The MXL 9000 is the most balanced of the three, we feel that placing the guitar in the mix is easy easy.

Finally, a few dollars and bought 160 at Thomann. The first contact is very good in view of the other mics in my home studio. I was looking for the soft lamp cheap, and I found it. I hesitated with equivalent T-Bone (SCT700), I think these two microphones are created equal ... I think changing the lamp for a Chinese Telefunken, to win this as yet, but the grain is in any case and the behavior of the micro is perfect.

Value / Price amazing, no doubt I would do the same choice.
