I got this last one from a local store and paid $510 for it. I've had it for about 2 months now. I already had a standard Fender Strat, an Epiphone SG, a yamaha and Taylor Big Baby. (acoustics) I've been playing since I was 7, I now that I'm 14 I was looking for an Les Paul Studio style electric. I had always considered getting this PRS guitar, but was hesitant because I wanted to get a US made guitar. When I looked at the rave reviews for this, I started researching to find a dealer to purchase it from. So then I went to prsguitars.com to look for dealers. When I go there, I went ahead to look at the specs for the TSE; and to my surprise, it said the model would be discontinued due to Gibson sueing them for body shape. (It was similiar to the LES Paul srudio) I knew right then to get this guitar, because soon they would all be gone, and also, because the value would get higher. Finally, I found one with one left, and went up to get it.

This guitar is superb. Of course, PRS has wonderful service anyway, if anything went wrong. The fretboard is wonderful! i play in a rock band and we do everything from power chords to soloing to picking and even acoustic styles. This guitar does everything; with a good map it'll be perfect with any style you want to play. Yes, of course, it plays Creed almost exactly as it sounds on the CD. The finish...wow! iT's jet black and is very mirror-like. There is finish on the back of the neck and it feels so good going up and down. The neck is a little wider than my strat's, but it makes it a little easier to solo on this one. The guitar stays in tune, I've only tuned in about 5 times in 3 months; it also handles drop-down tuning well too. The strings bend easily, I can make it go at least 2 steps up. The action came perfect. The pickups are very good for this price range. Overall, this guitar does everything I want it too! I play with gigs with it every almost every weekend and it is great; the humbuckers give to unneeded noise. PLEASE-go get one today before they all run out! You won't regret it, in my opinion this guitar is the best EVER offered for the price. I wouldn't spend another $3000 for the original one because this one is way better for the price. I played the Tremonti and this Tremonti SE is almost as good, even more sturdy. Besides, who has $3000 to spend on one guitar???

NOTHING mechanically! AT ALL! The finish does get fingerprints very easily, but if you clean and polish it often, there shouldn't be asny issues.

Well I already mentioned many good things about htis guitar in the "likes" section. But, the set in neack seems very sturdy. I dropped this guitar once (gasp) and it is completley fine. The bridge is locked and keeps everything in tune. The construction is great!

Everything is great!!! GO get this guitar if your looking for a HH style guitar that covers many styles. IF you add better pickups and strings this guitar is just as good as the Tremonti. (besides and wood) This guitar is perfect for me, right outa the box. Cheers to the Korean manufacters and Paul Reed Smith!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty Mean sounding riffs, plugged into a LINE 6 Spider Amp. Stuff like AC/DC, Creed, Sabbath, and ACCEPT sound pretty kick @ss with this guitar. OK, It's not as good sounding compared to my Gibson SG But I only give the SG a slight edge.

Not too much I don't like. For a mere $400 you really can't beat it. And it's a PRS. Although my Tremonti had a minor Blem, Musicians Friend game me a reasonable discount when it was identified.

I'd have to say it's pretty solid. Korean's are doing pretty good stuff with Guitars. It's as good a quality as our American products.

You really can't go wrong for around $400 for this guitar. Now that they're not making them. It's just more of a curiosity. I think that's why we want them so bad. I've played Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul's and the Tremonti pretty much feels the same. But sound wise you really have to give the edge to Gibson/Epiphone. Overall, a good buy! If you can find one.

This guitar is awesome i paid $429.00 but its well worth it for both price and quality of the structure and material used. I bought this Babe at guitar center in Carles place, NY. Check this guitar out. I got it cause of a hell of a nice structure, great texture and its so light so easier to carry and move around when i have band practices with it. Trust me you should TRY IT OUT. Especially if youre in a band who needs dirty sounds like Creed metallica stuff like that or stuff like pearl jam silver chair and also the old rock stuff like the beatles ramones. ITS GRRRRREAT!

its beautiful and i love the sound and the qualty of the music on each of the toggles. Great for rhythym and ESPECIALLY lead guitar playing.Her Pickups are beautiful. And its the only guitar i would buy for a 300-500 price range. Its affordable easy to bring around and yeah it is really strong and well built. Well worth the buy.

Actually im so far satistfied with my guitar its great for me im planning on sticking with Paul Reed Smith Guitars Because they didnt give me any problems yet and never gives me a pissed off time jamming with it by awful sounds or easily broken strings and breaking apart (Ex: the input jack's nut did not remove from the screw and this hard rockin guitar did not give me any rusted wires)Youll be satisfied.

Quality... well ill say its nice material its good for intermediate and advanced players. its great to solo with you know freestyling on the guitar. its nice for punk, Metal and can take classical on too.
A good guitarist needs good stuff to play. And trust me a guitar thats lightweight like this one is great for an advanced and intermediate player.

The Mark tremonti SE is an amazing guitar to jam with when you start getting better i recommend starting with a strat but thats just me. Besides the point i think that this lightweight Paul reed smith Tremonti se is a beautiful guitar comes in platinum silver and the original tremonti Black. So if you want to buy this guitar buy it when you know youre ready. its well worth the buy just go for it.

People guitar playing isnt easy but its all into your trust in yourself. I started and i thought ill never be good but i always did and will follow my mentors Mark Tremonti John Trovato (john thanks a lot for everything) and if you start with playing guitar say noone is better than you, say i can be just like. to start on the right foot is the key do not lose your trust do not lose your way to success in guitar playing and always think in yourself. i learned that from my 2 good friends "Dan ferrena" and "Tom costa" of "now or never" a new punk and EMO band from long island, NY. OH and one more thing to say to all of you guitar learners out there... you will do well in the future just follow your mentor if you have one.

I traded in my mexican strat 60's re-issue for the prs and payed the extra. I had looked around for this guitar for ages and finnaly found one at my local accadamy of sound. It cost me £469 after a little negotiating and they gave me £300 for my strat.

The feel is perfect and i find the weight is spot on for both sitting and standing, no backache.
The action i find is exellent and the heavy sound from the pick ups played through my marshal valve amp is wicked. after playing three different types of guitar i would say this has to be the best.

only the fact that it is not really a prs as such and i couldn't afford one anyway. perhaps the fact there are only two colours.

everything you would expect from a top quality guitar manufacturer. Glued neck, great hardware, quality wood ie mahogony and rosewood.

Although you can now buy this guitar for less money i am still glad that i bought it earlier rather than later. a fantastic guitar well done prs.

I saw the tremonti in various ads and it caught my eye. Then i saw a review in guitar player magazine. The thing that sold me was the "cons" part of the review. There was a single word "NONE". it took almost 4 months to find one in stock .
i paid 499.98

it has a distinct tone almost
plays very well. the finish is amazing.. super gloss black..bound body and neck.. frets are rounded and polished.. you can stretch a string an entire step with ease.. which is nice if you're as lazy as i am. ..

to be honest there's nothing to not like about this guitar . the only thing I can honestly say I dont like about this guitar is its so pretty and shiney.. you have to wipe it down alot becasue it shows every lil finger print or smudge. other than that .. its perfect

construction and quality are what you'd expect from PRS. Even though this is a second edition ( the rich mans version of this thing goes for like 3 grand ) the finish is clean glossy and looks about a foot thick.. the body and neck are bound beautifully.. fit of the neck to the body is outstanding.. you cant see where it joins.. and the neck is set deep .. no "wobble" even though the body is cut way deep for access .. the only thing i have done to this guitar is tweak the set up. the action was too high for my liking. and i put a set of super slinkies on it. its set up for .042 - .009 so that worked out well.

plays very well. almost as well as my les paul.. its definately a sweet guitar to play this is a damned good value for the money

2 epiphones - ejs200 and 335 dot - a washburn 12 string acoustic - ovation acoustic - takamine acoustic - and an olympia acoustic - and of course the Prs. I think thats a fair mix of makes and models
Enough to know a bit about things. Ive been playing for over 30 years and i have to say buck for buck .. this is one great guitar especially for a mere $500 .. buy one .. buy 2 .. give one to a friend

I was getting my second guitar (after the first on died). I was looking for something like a Dean Guitar worth 500 euros. i liked it, but i tried the PRS tremonti just for the hell of it. But i liked it so much i didnt care it was 250 more euros. its beautiful. for 750 euros, with a name of PRS, nothing gives you more bliss.

I LOVE everything about this guitar, i just bought it i cant let it go, its easy to play for fast solos, its smooth enough for yours hands to move up and down the neck, its shiny and its a PRS, second one owned in my school. even if its not a custom, its better than any other guitar. the sound given is perfect for any type of music. ANY I SAY. i can use it for Metallica to incubus..anything is played.

the truth is that i dont like the fact that i cant but it down. i am not able to do any homework. also, there is only 2 colors, and im afraid of scrathing it. but everything else is perfect, like the other guy ******-6 stars or more

construction is flawless.. nothing beats it, nice head, nice neck, nice body, sound is great, best tone, plays well. sounds nicer than my friends custom 22..looks nicer too.

GET ONE NOW and you will not regret it. if you have more money, get a different PRS, THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY

I got this guitar for Christmas and it came from musiciansfriend. I'm sure that it was fairly cheap (especially for a PRS) probably about $500. I wanted this particular guitar because it is a PRS (I mean geez, that's enough reason right there I think) and also because one of it was designed after one of the greatest guitarist's ever (Mark Tremonti) guitar (like the Santana SE).

Every last thing! Overall the guitar is amazingly beautiful. The quality is amazing! The neck is nice and smooth and the guitar is relatively light. Tone is great. This guitar can play wonderful clean or superb on a dirty channel. The guitar is every stinkin' thing a PRS is supposed to be. ******-6 stars, you saw right, it's higher than a 5 star rating.

Nothing! One minor thing is you get a little resonance from the guitar but hardly noticeable and not even there 9/10 of the time. Also, the guitar comes out of tune every once in a while but you should only have to tune it maybe once a week to once a month.

IT'S GRRRRRRREAT!! The Korean's really know how to build a top quality instrument.

Go buy one. Go on, RIGHT NOW!! ******-Yet again, 6 stinkin' stars.

OVERALL OPINION

I can set the maximum because it is the guitar I expected.
It's been five months that I have and I'm not ready to change.
It cost me 615th correspondence, unfortunately cheaper than the shop where I usually but good for the budget, the correspondence can be the solution.
It all just to say that I like a scratch visually in the game, his sound .... just what, trs not expensive: I am someone DFIS best qualitprix!

Made in Korea under PRS-CONTRL States. Setup type "Les Paul" with mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22-quip frtes aligned in step PRS (25) is 635mm, halfway between Gibson and Fender, al on one body Mahogany (soft). Team of two double-coil pickups (not splitables) controlled by a slecteur 3 positions with 2 volume knobs and 2 Tone. Stop bar bridge type PRS pr-rgl by design. I put 7 because its not one of the most versatile configuration (as would one or IBANEZ JACKSON 3 pickups and vibrato for example).

UTILIZATION

Channel quite enjoyable despite its width (width: 43.5 - 53), with good grip. The guitar is well balance, lgre with dcoupes many places giving a good acute and Access in a comfortable sitting for games (the chamfer shall adopt additional SUPERIORCOURT back of the guitar Vitantis to ruin the thorax). The plastic nut is against change by, see be replaced! It gives an action (useless) too high, making it uncomfortable agreements in the first box barr and basic chords sound lgrement "dsaccords!" (At least with "46/10"). The rglages leave the factory are not either trs optimiss: When testing in-store, ca bordered everywhere! As strings (cheap) as the key too prs. This guitar sounds good "in Acoustic" (like the majority of copies PCs), and once branch (on a Marshall JTM 60) honorably in the pickups sound clear, with a quickly saturate " disto "despite their standard power (8 ohms) but lack a bit of" body "my taste. The pots are not against by trs versatile, both in volume and Tone! But as this guitar is destined plutt a style of music "Mtallo-nag", which are rglages gnral "any substance", it is not Gnant beyond measure. OVERALL OPINION

Considering the price, a little more than 600 € is a bargain! After a few mods, this guitar will not have much envy the basic model in Gibson (for example) and a good alternative to TRS Custom Epiphone.
Besides the standard "mods", I advise that it has suffered other except the nut: The pots all changes (two are "push-pull" splitter for the microphones), the microphones were t be replaced by Seymour Duncan (a 59-SH1 and SH6) better suited my style of play, the addition of a vibrato KALLE (the same that silent hill on the Les Paul ann es 80) by a luthier friend and replacement by mcaniques SPERTZEL wraps. Lve a good ... a little but I think this bill Grat worth! Now he has a bit more versatility and Confre him look even more devastating.

This sleeve t built for me. Asser enjoyable big. I would not even when a level of bucheronage the gibson but close. In any case many enjoyable. Access in dernires CISA is really easy (although I do not make too much of this solo the cot). For the weight is happiness! No more back pain the APRS RPET of my old LP!

Cot's I do not know exactly the microphones that are above. You it should appear that these are Duncan Designed bridge in SH4 and I know what in the neck. In any case I think they sound good trs. Better than a tone zone but I think it may be a matter of taste ... I play on the Engl (rack and powerball) and I have a monster with her. Well with the fatty micro bridge. Perfect for the right distortion. The neck pickup lacks a bit of sth ... but turns ...

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about 2-3 months and I no longer use it. I sold my Epiphone gothic seemed to me a toy cot (cot but not its weight). I even sold the microphone silent on my Start copy in this case an SD shr1. What I like most is the relationship quality price. Well worth the money. I tried fiddling with a model of more or less but I think I found the guitar that best suits me for now. I have not tried other PRS but perhaps better. I would do this without any choice hsitations. I am also waiting for a 2nd. Too bad they are no longer factories. (I do not put anywhere because the 10 is still not perfect ...)

Edit: If you change the pickups for REAL MICROS. While the mchant has become. C'tait Premire of a guitar SERIES SE and is apparently related more as well now. But for the price adchire all ...

Hi all, here I wanted to give my opinion on the PRS Tremonti SE and I either I am not agree with the negative opinions prcdement Permit. PRS Tremonti SE so this is controlling manufacturing Corenne then by PRS, the mahogany neck with 22 frets, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body, too (classic), it has 2 humbucker, PRS Stop-Bar , Chrome hardware, mechanical sign PRS but manufactured by Schaller, 4 Volumes potentiometers 2x 2x Ring and all served in the beautiful shot Paul (Black or Grey) according to your choice. Premiere grip the guitar very nice finish to a great guitar at this price (555 euros Thomann), only a small defect in binding at the neck but really light, so to sum up the first contact with the PRS is very positive!

UTILIZATION

I bought this guitar because I had read very good reviews of this model for a really attractive on the internet biensur as it should be noted that the PRS model in the market and bought same approach when the Euro 1000! ! This guitar is dot a handle big enough but very very nice one with access to acute really easy, gameplay fast enough (surprisingly with a handle big enough), the body is a Les Paul shape but less Paisse Gibson Epiphone or a with a blow to the back of coprs promoting the game and biensur weight (light enough).

In the first shot without mediator amp it sounds pretty good. So I plugged the bte dfx30 a marshall when the microphone liberates its pretty clear very quickly but we feel that the playing of this guitar is the metal but by lowering the volume (not easy because C IS ALL OR NOTHING) you get a get a very good feeling in his clear, he was knocked off the neck pickup sound warmer and this is almost the same as the neck pickup (HARD ENOUGH). So I stick it all on my bottom and j'appuis Boss Super Overdrive and WWWWOOOWWWW ............. ......... this is the bed! OVERALL OPINION

I now use this guitar for 4 months almost every day and really that is happiness, I made some changes such as changing from one microphones SEYMOUR DUNCAN SH4 JB bridge I splitter, and I'll get SEYMOUR DUNCAN SH1 59 N in the neck pickup soon, I also change the look with the towers of chrome pickups, chrome knob pots, pots has changed completely since the original ones are deplorable, I took my 4 knob EMG with a splitter for the PUSH PULL SH4, when the mechanical you can change them if you have a brand preference in a kind Groover Sperzel (wraps) but it really is not necessary because they are original brand excelente Schaller. But with all mod j'obtiend really a fairly high-end guitars for a very attractive price: 555 euros for a guitar bought MUSIK-PRODUKTIV.COM expensive, 80 euros for micro SH4, about 100 Euros for the SH1 .. ....... do the math .... 735 euros for a guitar really Facinas! Despite the size of the handle massive ass it is relatively fast ds the first aproach. comvient everything fai who wish to do a lot of rhythm and a few solos (I play vivaldi tribute to RONDAT above .. when it's going to mm!) no mas ... floyd the stop bar harmonies gives very accurate. The access to a single acute s'avre chanfrin deep. Weight after all correct for the amount of matrial. The handle is on the reprage instentan. The guitar sound is reflected instantanmen after connection .. against by the placement of the pickup selector is atrocious for ceu who loves standing taping (which sounds very much there ...) we also regret the absance suplmentaires 2 spaces. knob Changed URGEANCE !!!!!!

A dry it sounds incredibly good, sustain huge ...
Branch = Sound that here must !!... some time .. the bridge pickup is very fat, too has my government because it throws on a little rhythm ... prcise (Heavy, painkiller style) .. I give it a rather sound or no industrial boiler metal.son clear, there is more convinquant pr me warm and intence. I lai change to a Dimarzio PAF Pro for more fishing and precision, Heavy rain.
I find neck pickup is very good, blusy, hot, perfect for solo Arpeggios .. I put 9 for those who want to play mainly power chords, 7 if it is for the heavy.

OVERALL OPINION

Since one year I lai. rapor qualitprix very good. more industrial metal or no. very good scratch!

I will not rpter the CHARACTERISTICS of the guitar, the other (happy) users have trs well done! Well, okay, even when I do, but that's because it's you! So it's a guitar built in Core, Les Paul shape but less grazed, mahogany set neck with a round and not too pais, trs comfortable pace of 25 'like the PRS am Rican (between Gibson and Fender). It is trslgre, CHAC fever is relatively easy. Cache truss-rod nut and plastic vritable (no top at all ...). Mcaniques a little blah (but it's not the same crap, eh!), Stop Bar tailpiece (me, the Floyds, a drunk me !!!). The head has a great design, more beautiful style and a cake server Epiphone style. 2 volume, 2 tone and 2 humbuckers. Binding crme around the body and the handle (just irrgulier, but I chipotte, I know!). Here I think we went around: a guitar is simple, and effective class, fearing effective!

UTILIZATION

This will be ending for one year I have this guitar. First Contact is thunder lgre comparing a Les Paul Epiphone! What fun! The handle is round, nothing to do with an Ibanez, trs really enjoyable for my big paws. The knobs are not progressive trs: we pass nothing at all! But it has good secondary.

SOUNDS

No branch, the guitar sounds good trs. It has a trs good sustain. Once connected, it's a vamp! I use a Marshall MG 100 DFX distos and I use the "Guv'nor" and "Distortion +" a Boss ME 50. This guitar is perfect for rock. It's a leaner, sharper, more biting than a Epiphone Les Paul. It spits well distortion, but the bridge pickup lacks a bit of PCHE. The neck pickup sounds round and warm. Its clear she dfend well ...

2 weeks ago, I changed the original double bobs for EMG 81 (as Metallica, Rammstein ... and many others!). And it's like a big fat pie in my little face! Ms in my Marshall, but a spat power! For the Metallica is no problemo!

Edit of 24/06/2006: APRS two and a half years of use and more of experience, not much wrong. Branchedsormais in my Tech 21 Trademark 300 4x12''cabinet a religious Tech 21, it really rvle. The distortion is fat and prcise, with sustain, excellent wholesale rock and metal. The clean sounds are round and powerful, but not ingrable playing on pots.

OVERALL OPINION

It's going to be ending for one year that I have, and I love compltement: every time I watch it, I say to myself "What class". I love its comfort for a Les Paul type guitar. For the price it's really the ultimate: she is beautiful, comfortable, and it sounds! And no dirt Floyd drgle that all the time! I have an Ibanez RG320 also, but I find my Tremonti SE suprieure well. I do it again this choice without hsiter! Now that I changed the pickups it suits me perfectly, it's the guitar I always rv I'm not prt of lche, except for PRS Singlecut one (but it s not the same price!).

Edit of 24/06/2006: The years passed and when I sell it as I got m'aperois attach. I regret that I just picked up the key: with time, I think the point is not trs Aesthetics! I plan dsormais point me to an Edwards Les Paul Custom, history of trying anything like that. I would also prciser that strength to play the tie belt com ct round skate in a vacuum. I live on a fixed plate at CASC slecteur, and it is so much stronger! I tried a few guitars since (Fender Telecaster, Strats, Ibanez RG, PLO, Lag ...) but I always come back my little Tremonti SE. She directed my fawn playing with her little characters!

Guitar with a small frame for my taste (maybe because I went from a 24 to 21 freight ...) but it is quite reasonable.

UTILIZATION

Not having much experience I can not compare too but as it is good for me: fun to play, a light weight, a smooth and aggressive when you have, nice ergonomics, and we walk as one wants in the treble.

SOUNDS

It's perfect for what I play, I love the sounds warm and deep. The only thing that can be titillate me a little, I do not know if it comes from my 30w marshall or my strings but it lacks just a few reasons, a longer sound would be great. I will try to make elixir to see if it changes qqchose

OVERALL OPINION
