Joylabz launched on Kickstarter a crowdfunding campaign for the portable version of its Makey Makey signal converter.

We already talked about Makey Makey back in 2013 (see this news). The small card designed to translate any electric energy of any object into commands for you computer will soon have a little brother, the Makey Makey GO, that will be available at the end of the year.

The Makey Makey GO has the size of a USB drive and features a single connector for the included banana connector. When plugged to your Mac or PC, it will convert the signal coming from any object (food, aluminum fold, anything that contains a minimum amount of electricity) into a command, just as if you were using a keyboard or a mouse, but without any programming skills required. Makey Makey GO will let you play music, take pictures, launch a video or a call and more from bread slices, fruits, water and more.

You can crowdfund this new project at KickStarter starting from $19.

We also told you about Midi Midi, a MIDI converter software for Mac OS X and Windows developed by Feelyoursound for Makey Makey. Midi Midi supports MIDI notes, chords and controller values and offers a special Toggle mode that allows for starting/stopping notes or loops, a 10-key remapping feature with 4 banks for custom settings as well as chord and scale presets.

The software is currently on sale for 15 € instead of 24 € at feelyoursound.com until June 7th.
