The bridge is "type fender" with the whammy bar that slides into place, unlike Fender (s) that screws.
The guitar is equipped with a rotating 5-way switch, volume button, and a Tone knob.

    The selector DIFFERENT modes:
Position 5: Bridge Pickup (sound very powerful, a lot of precision, say nothing is perfect.)
Position 4: Bridge pickup in series with the neck pickup, you lose a little pattate the osrque we just position 5, this is due to wiring in series. (A typical PRS sound. In the clear position cete rendering magnifique.Le better its clear that I personally was never heard on other guitars of commerce).
Position 3: Micro bridge and neck humbucker in both coupls In parallel (Idale to keep a rhythm).

Position 2: Micro coupled single coil bridge and neck pickup In parallel single bobinage.Cette position allows it really raproch the sonority of a fender with even when the sound typ PRS. (The sound quality toujour.

Position1: Neck Pickup (sound well ... still nothing wrong.)

    The handle is al.

    USE

The handle is very pleasant it is a trade-off between Fender and Gibson I think.
Let me explain Gison boxes are more than the Fender srres and mache is "bomb.
The PRS Bay distance the handle has a handle boxes Fender and Fender a compromise between the handle "C" and the handle Gibson.C'est a true Russianness, essay it is adopted .dropoff window
The handling of this guitar is amazing, it was imprssion the handle starts at your hand immediately.

Treble are very easy to access "Type Gibson SG" in the sprit.

Attenetion, this guitar is its weight (a little nearly the same as a Gibson Les Paul), but that's because they have the quality of wood that is a.Allez you not your grandmas
    all the same.

Regarding the sound, I find it exellent, there's really nothing to say except that it's perfect.

If they are those who find it a bad sound then it really that they arrtent guitar. As against this, can not love the sonority PRS.

    SONORITS

It suits all styles of music I do not see that it could not play.
I think that all lamps amp is ideal for this kind of guitar with a little weakness for Mesa / Boogie amps.

All types of sonority its authorized with this instrument biensur amp've used it for many. It adapts to you and your personality.

My personal, I did with a group of hardcore, jazz conservatory and alternative rock with another groupe.Et the beast it's good stein route.Vraiment a versatile guitar.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for 6 years, I've had it in 2000.
I love everything about this guitar I find nothing to fault it.

Except little-being rotary selector that is not very easy if one executes a solo and that it changes position the flies like a Fender Stratocaster (severe acute micro -Non ) it is impossible faire.D'ailleur I do not understand why PRS did not put a knob "type stratocaster" has the option limits for those who want it (may be a result of patent) .But it is also true that the three buttons give a nice cot aesthetic playing the guitar.
it is an instrument of quality and quality has a price.

yes, I would do this choice without a doubt.

I put an 8 because the selectors is really difficult to manage. I thought to myself with time but not ...

    SOUNDS

    I use a Mesa Boogie F30.
What I like is the versatility of sound.
You can have all the desired sounds by playing with the settings.
In the HFS splitant I can get a sound close to a strat with a little less slamming (but hey you can not have everything) and sounds very hot on Vintage Bass humbucker. I can even get close to a half of the fat body in playing the tone knob.
Even with big disco (Mesa), the sound is clean and can distinguish between different harmonics.
After 3 years I still continued to find new sounds.
This is clearly the strong points of this guitar
What I prefer is the Vintage Bass Split on for Slap; With a little compression over one the impression that the sound is reworked in the studio.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years.
I esseyé lot of strats, les paul and the Musicman, and even other models including the PRS CU24. But I had a crush on this one.
What I like most is the versatility of sounds.
It is true that the price is quite high, but the cost of quality.
I would do the same NIOHC without hesitation.

It seems PRS guitars speak for themselves, but here it goes. The range of tones you get are excellent. It is like having a 3-neck guitar with Strat, Tele, and Les Paul pickups on it. Truly a great range of vintage tones on a guitar with some modern features. The tremolo/tuning system is the best non-floyd rose I have played. Stays in tune perfectly through all but the most aggressive tremolo work. It plays like a dream, and looks like one.

A glue-in neck with ebony fingerboard and bird inlays would have been nice, but I'm not complaining.

PRS is among the best of the best. When I have the money, I will buy one of their top models.

    SOUNDS

The tone of these guitars are very similar to Gibson style tone. If you've ever played any mahogany based guitar such as a Gibson Les Paul, Gibson SG, or Explorer guitar that you will find yourself very comfortable with this instrument. The funny thing about these guitars is that they sounds very chiming and clean with clean amplifier setting. I've never found a Gibson guitar give off any type of solid spanky clean tone, but these guitars find some way to balance itself out in the frequency range to give a solid clean tone. It's very remarkable to my ears to hear a guitar that can cover so much ground as these instruments can. It is an easy selling point for these guitars that gives a user such a variety of total features to operate.

    OVERALL OPINION

These guitars are quite expensive but you can find them 40% of the new value on any type of classifieds or used section online or in some guitar retailers. I suggest getting one of these guitars used because then you allow the person who originally bought it take to hit on the expenses new price. Even though these are quiet expensive they are great guitars and hold most of their value quite well. They sound good when playing a recording session or any type of live gigging setting. Overall these are great versatile instruments that sounds fantastic.

Paul Reed Smith guitars have a great feel and overall are very exotic in their construction. When you pick up a Paul Reed Smith guitar you immediately notice how well-built these instruments really are and how their construction quality is very superb. The tone of these guitars are very similar to a Gibson style voicing. That could be due to the thick mahogany wood that is used throughout their billed process. Generally these guitars will feature the exact same wood compliments and combination as any other Gibson custom or standard Les Paul guitar. SOUNDS

If you've ever played a Gibson Les Paul and you're going to be very comfortable with this instrument. So the tone, saturation, and feel is going to be very similar to a Gibson Les Paul guitar. The areas that these guitars really excel in is the high gain amplification setting. But still these guitars sounds very good at clean tones as well. I think that might be one of the selling points on these guitars is their ability to be even more versatile than a Gibson Les Paul guitar in my opinion. I find it to Gibson Les Paul guitars don't really do well in a clean setting but they excel in a hard rock high gain set, whereas the Paul Reed Smith guitars can do it all. I have seen Paul Reed Smith guitars played by country musicians all the way through pop and up to nu metal guitar players. That's a lot of versatility in one type of instrument. For me that is a very high selling point on these guitars and also the ability to reach the higher fretboard because of the cutaway body on these guitars. I find it a lot easier to do soloing and riffing on the higher frets because of the cutaway which makes my playing time much more enjoyable.

    OVERALL OPINION

These guitars are fairly expensive and can be quite a heavy burden for a budget musician. So I find that these guitars are really tailored towards the person who has been around the block a while and knows exactly what they want and also the person is a professional and has a little bit bigger bank account to afford these type of guitars. Overall these are great sounding instruments and have a great versatility with a solid sound and beautiful look. These guitars are great for recording and they're also fantastic for live stage playing as well.

Obviously, it is made to US, only plant in the PRS, also I recommend watching the "PRS DVD" o there is a guided tour of the factory is trs INTERESTED, especially for budding luthiers ;-)
In short, if the bridge is a floating tremolo, it is associated with blockages of mcaniques PRS, TRS small and lightweight, nut in I-know-what-not black, quite frets flat pitch 25 ", two humbuckers.
Bass is a "vintage bass", friendly, and treble is a "HFS" (read "Hot, Fat and Scream"): a knob rotary switches between one and one and diffrent combinations of each split, allowing for out-of-phase sounds nice (I have no Start to compare, and I think that the aficionados of the strat would cry hrsie :-)). The shot of the button is nice to look but not very practical in live! I rarely changes of micro, so it is not a problem for me. Large strap buttons are complter all, and if not ... That's it!
Needless to say, the look is hell I in "royal blue", so no false-binding (as found on most other colors) and black contours of microphones: changs for crme, the guitar is really beautiful, with a wooden ond of the most remarkable.

    UTILIZATION

Then the handle is in profile "wide thin", which means typ end, without being an Ibanez not handle attention! Trs is enjoyable to touch and glides smoothly (for me anyway). Note: be careful to polish the handle: it can perform all necessary chemically with the plastic of some stand as Klawn made the exprience: can not remove, so be careful! For me no problem note, it's always in his holster comes with, and it will be ending for the wall: D
Finally on the handle: Some have noticed in photos of the back of the guitar that the heel of the neck junction with the body is quite prominent: for my part, ca does not play at all in the comfort or 'Access in dernires boxes. In fact I can play quietly on the boxes 24 and company without feeling the heel, but some n'apprcient not ...
For my part I do not use the vibrato, but the little I have done shows that the agreement is good, and with a 9-42 game, the strings do not move. I pass quickly in 10-46, and by a bend back against a little vibrato, and thus alter the accuracy of a few other strings until the bend is required but ... I think they do a lot of dsormais PRS with fixed bridge. Now that does not rglage individual intonation, except on the Tremonti Signature, so it's your choice!
There is a dcoupe stomach, and the table is bomb. A special feature of PRS is the kind of edge around the perimeter of the body: ca Drout a little beginners because the arm rests on a lgre edge, but it is easy to forget Once the guitar part ...
I am tempted to 9.5 given AC, but hey, given all, it will be 10

    SOUNDS

Let the sound .. the principal!
So much to say that with this combination of pickups is perfect, or almost! I play mostly rock / mtal, but also some blues, and stuff in the clear micro cartonnent. The grave is serious, but enough to not be dtach drooling is the one I like least. The knob to switch between various positions, for my part my APRS prfre is dernire (single humbucker bridge) that has a real personality and prsence an attack and a sound that j 'apprcie really, and goes well with the guitar trs. APRS, I like the sound of the off-phase medium, which should combine the indoor coil of each of the humbuckers, dphases. Trs is soft, and is well suited for bluesy plans.
The EC22, violin identical (except that 22 boxes instead of 24) have microphones Different. I rcupr a pair of those famous "Dragon II", and I can compare the near future. My first attempt gave me an impression of less sharp, more vintage, for the Dragons, the HFS as a sharper and more rock / metal.
Report my needs and in view of the versatile I put 10.

    OVERALL OPINION

It's been a year now so I use this gem, and even if I have a PRS dj, always make me something special to play a PRS CE24 that's a, a Custom, or McCarty. These are really exceptional guitar, and I saw the DVD to better understand the passion of the people who dveloppent these guitars and make them. There is a kind of thing mystrieux happens when you play it, it's really special, and I have found at various locations on any guitar, Chres as cheap ...
Yes, it's a bit expensive for a guitar or even trs expensive. But it is a truly exceptional quality, there is NO default, and the sound is magnificent. I could see (and play) a EC22 which is 8 years old: the color is going on (all the time out of the tui in the sun), but the sound is always the quality is identical In short ... ca pte.
In short, do not try, you will want to buy APRS ... I know that's what I did!

The price quality ratio is the black dot: the guitars are expensive to buy ... OCCAZ impractical or APRS winning the lottery ...
I do not what ENTSO choice .. I will buy my sister a happy guitar

Otherwise regarding the weight, so good, not too heavy webbing, and form, and well me fits me like a glove. :-D

I must admit that I had a little trouble apprhender the bte. Ds that the industry sound is beautiful, but it runs faster than a few sounds, then by taking the time to the rgler, it's crazy diffrent the sounds that they possdent. This will be a year that she owns and I still found a way to surprise me from time to time qd I find the perfect sound. I thought I had reached the limits of my guitar, and although nay, it still surprises me. And I think for the time limits do not come from my guitar, but the plutt guitarise ;-) (ie me)

EDIT: As for vibrato, satyanouk just give me a pipe, like what we can tighten. And it works, so I have more problem of Vibrato .. yahouuu, my PRS is totally perfect ;-)

    SOUNDS

I play rock, pop, blues, some hard rock / metal to me dfouler on a hot rod deluxe (with or without vox bulldog and ToneLab)
So I had a versatile guitar. And I confess that for me. Not as good as a les paul in distortion, but it really dfend trs well, and not ashamed at all.

I manage to have a crystalline (a little vintage), trs good distortion of blues, clean and really beautiful (though balance between acute-medium and severe) and distos relatively fat (not at the level of the paul, but it comes close) with pedals.

I dtest no sound and I love all sonortis. At the moment and the top of my 8 years of scratching, it's perfect, so 10

    OVERALL OPINION

    I possde for 1 year

I like everything, the sound, the quality of the handle (enjoyable, trs quick little buzz), its versatility.
The only ch'tit default is the vibrato bar that does not remain in position and falls .. But it's no big deal ;-)

Yes I tried a groin 30 guitars (Vigier, fender, gibson, lag, g & l..) (Jai put two years of purchase). Qd I admit that I bought it pleased me more than any other guitars, but after one month j'tais Fully concquis by this little wonder.

Oh plutt twice that, and I would wait two years before not in my pay. For a time I won by a 200% purchase, I had to share it ;-).
But it remains Obviously a personal opinion.

EDIT: As stated above, rsolu vibrato problem, so everything is perfect:-D

    - For knobs: one volume, one tone and a 5 position rotary slecteur
    - Bolt (the diffrence with custum al o the handle is, but it gives more versatility to the 24 cases, a slap in a little more clear sound, a little fender) and is in Saddle with a rosewood fingerboard with a unique quality: it is of velvet, for the size, it is a fairly standard PRS so late, but with a round profile trs agr able (it's not too late as the guitars sizes for acrobatics ...)

    UTILIZATION

    - The handle is a MODEL of comfort, it never forces, it smells and sounds the boxes (well you need to know to play a minimum) in short, everything seems easy! This is antithse Gibson on this point, so not all gibsonniens n'apprcient forcment! Me j'adorre.
    - Access in acute is no problem because the body is thin and allows good shape PRS Access in dernires boxes (another ct I must admit that I do not often dernires boxes is not really my thing)
    - Usability issue, it is enjoyable trs, we feel the mahogany, but without being too heavy in short, the still enjoyable trs.
    - Whether a PRS CE or custum (I can not guarantee for ranges below) gives a good sound is almost an insult! TRS is simple, there is just plug it ...

    SOUNDS

Ah, finally the sound! To set the mood, I bought this guitar used in 2004 so that is 4 years old I play it at home in RPET and in concert. And, although it still happens m'merveiller. With this type of guitar, trs is simple, if a does not sound, look no further than the guitar! Sr what is it that can not be a guitar.
Well, More precisely, I use a prampli modlisation, Vamp pro (thus with the so-called coldness of numrique), a multi-effect (quad 4 digitech), an amplifier power transistor (Rocktron velocity) and a behringer cabinet 4hp spcial Stereo (and yes I have bones.

    Dtaillons sounds:
    - Saturation: on the bridge pickup (HFS), the sound is standard! It is both fat and round like gibson and at the same time more modern and cutting edge (I think we should be close to Seymour duncun) in rhythm, it's hyper prcis and the solo Harmonics are the o and sometimes they surprise us ask, because the guitar rpond everything, what is vibrating! And the question of its type, it is not in the agressivit Emg (I had before), which allows for the large rock without falling into the metal. Furthermore, it is possible to have a little more sound and more rtro gibsonnien with the middle position is a split of the two microphones (trs his rhythmic, bold and round)
    - The sound clear: it is exceptionally rich in crystalline and trs harmonic is that of happiness. My position is a split prfre the neck pickup which approximates a little fender, but not be (I have a fender ct), in short, it's just the sound PRS . And despite the roundness of the mahogany table in the saddle and Bolt brings a bit of slamming. As for the neck pickup (vintage bass), the sound is super round, jazzy trs.
    - In short, the sounds are poustouflantes résumé! For my part I love them all, all dpend use and the song is played.

    OVERALL OPINION

    - I said dj, I use it for 4 years now.
    - I love this guitar because it suits me, it is among the heirloom of the past for the modern violin and electronics. What I like most is the comfort of the handle and the sound that is rich in harmonics.
    - Could be the BMOL slecteur the rotary is not always very practical, but since I have my fender I finally realized that the standard 5 slecteur positions is much more Easy magna; matter of habit really.
    - Ah, the price! This may be the most ngatif of this guitar; the era (2004), it took 2500! (And again I do not mean that custum taient 3000) But the quality has its price. That may be why I would put a 9 / 10 for the report qualitprix.
    - But despite that price, I definitely do it again this choice. (So that 9 / 10 is really only for the price, the rest is Obviously 10/10)

These guitars are very easy to play on the neck is a little bit chunky so if you spend any time playing against Les Paul or Gibson flying V then you will probably feel comfortable with this guitar. If you can use to playing a fender telecaster or something like an Ibanez guitar then this snack is going to be a little awkward for you. It's going to be thicker and the radius of it will be a little strange comparatively to a shredder guitar.

    UTILIZATION

Paul Reed Smith CE 24 Maple Top Electric Guitar Features:

    * Bolt-on 24-fret maple neck for classic maple neck clarity
    * Comfortable wide-thin neck carve
    * 25" scale length, 10" radius fretboard
    * Friction-resistant "unobtanium" nut
    * Abalone dot inlays (bird inlays by special order)
    * Maple-topped, one-piece mahogany body
    * Gorgeous "dipped in glass" clearcoat finish
    * HFS Vintage Treble/Bass pickup combination
    * Coil-tapping 5-way rotary pickup selector with volume and tone controls
    * PRS tremolo with locking tuners
    * Paul Reed Smith signature logo headstock
    * Tolex covered rectangular hard case
    * Made in USA

    SOUNDS

The tone of this guitar is an exceptional one. It sounds fantastic with pretty much any amplifier you put it in. I personally like the sound of the Paul Reed Smith amps with their own guitars. They're able to find a great chemistry and connection with the sound of their amps in the voicing of the ramps with these guitars. Usually there and sour low to mid gain amps so they really bring out and allow the guitars to shine with their note separation and clarity.

These guitars also sounds fantastic with a high gain amplifier as well. So if you're playing the marshal amplifier or Mesa boogie amplifier in this guitars but it sounds very well in that type of setting. When my favorite sounds is not necessarily this guitar but Paul Reed Smith guitar and a Bogner. This is what Mark Tremonti the guitar player from Alter Bridge and he uses in his live recording and stage guitar rig. These guitar sound fantastic with a Bogner amplifier think it's a good chunky distortion town because these guitars are able to get a good chunky rhythmic tone.

    OVERALL OPINION

You find his guitar for right around $2000 which is a pretty high price for any kind of guitar. However, this is an exotic built and exotic wood guitar so am the price is in net. This is a guitar for the professional musician and not someone is starting out on the guitar or a learner. So if you have an opportunity to play his guitar then I would recommend it before shelling out the money to own it because you might not jive with it because it feels a little bit different then many guitars that are more common such as Fender Stratocaster or telecaster.

It also has a bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 24 frets, PRS locking tuners, PRS designed vibrato unit, PRS designed Vintage Bass and HFS humbuckers, and a control layout of a volume control, a tone control, and a 5 way rotary switch that combines the tones of the full humbuckers with some split coil and parallel wired sounds as well. This guitar was built in the USA PRS factory, same as the higher end Custom 22s and 24s.

    UTILIZATION

The PRS guitars have always been considered to be like a blend between a Fender and a Gibson as far as their feel and design. It has the mahogany construction, maple top, dual humbuckers and classic sunburst finish of a Gibson, but the longer scale length, tremolo, maple neck, more versatile switching system and lighter weight of a Fender style guitar. To me it really combines the best of both worlds as far as feel and tone. The guitar is fairly light and sits on the body extremely well. The upper fret access is stellar, and reaching 24 is no problem whatsoever.

Getting a good tone out of this guitar really isn't difficult because of the high quality PRS pickups that are in this guitar. The Vintage Bass and HFS pickups are quite versatile and combined with the PRS rotary switch, the guitar is able to go from great clean jazz or country tones all the way through to searing and soaring "fall to your knees in ecstasy" lead tones. Awesome...

    SOUNDS

I've tried this guitar through various Fender and Marshall amps. This particular guitar has the distinction of having the BEST clean sound I've ever heard. I used it at a house gig recently along with a Diamond Compressor and a 1964 Blackface Super Reverb with 4 10s. Song after song I was just marveling at how godlike the tones were... it was unreal. I could go from really smooth jazz textures to some really convincing country tones for chicken pickin' and then finish off with the world's most perfect gutsy blues tone that had me in chills when I dug into it hard enough.

The dirty tones are equally as stellar, though I haven't had a chance to try them in QUITE as nice a setting. The neck pickup is perfect for legato fusion and shred lines. Arpeggios just work so well with that particular pickup and my favoured smooth lead tone. The HFS bridge pickup has long been one of my favourite pickups and in this guitar it's easy to see why. It has that perfect snarl and bite that drives any amp into overdriven mercy and as a result, it just works excellent for rock and metal riffage. Despite this though it still has a spongy vintage quality that makes it sound like an old PAF, just... brought into the modern age.

    OVERALL OPINION

All in all I think the PRS CE24 is just a killer example of a versatile giggers guitar. It does every tone anyone could want, and uses top notch parts and craftsmanship to boot. They can be had for about $1,300 used which is an absolute steal for the quality and TONE that you're getting. If you want a super versatile guitar that is a near perfect blend of Fender and Gibson, give the PRS CE-24 (or if you prefer 22 frets, try the CE-22) a shot. You won't be disappointd!

Otherwise I had a problem once, the S Smith who left while I cleaned her head gently .. What a bad surprise for a guitar price! Apart from this BIG black dot, the violin seems almost unbeatable quality.

    SOUNDS

We can play anything with this guitar. Metal fans will be disappointed not to have an output level higher, but after that the amp and the wrist that can compensate. For rock, it's perfect. on the other hand is often said you can have a sound with a Fender PRS. Bon ben am still waiting to find that his fender ... The sound of this guitar and his microphone is very balanced, really. When we make an agreement, we hear every chord that comes off, not a mug of notes, like on my ibanez prestige 3120, however, an upscale home ibanez.

It's clean without sanitizing (apart from the problem discussed above), who could ask for more? Holding agreement is particularly great, the violin parts and fittings are for something. I dragged in most rooms that are warm and moist and it has always kept the agreement without moving ...

    OVERALL OPINION

I was tired of the LTD EC1000 I bought a few months ago and who did not agree. So I decided to bring the store to complain about and I was actually tried on this occasion. Well ... I am left with and glad to be past that point. I've had a few years now and this guitar is truly a quality instrument. How it ... You've never tried a PRS made in the USA? But what are you waiting?
