SOUNDS

Excellent small typical Fender clean sound a little digging with bass, a real treat with single coil (strat, tele ....)
The modeling part is of course less accurate and less hot than the channel lamp but I'm still surprised by the quality of some models, including twin and 60 British realistic enough.

OVERALL OPINION

Before concluding, two important things, this amp should be placed on the floor for two reasons, 1 you will roundness low and then you avoid making vibrate on which it is placed!
Second point, I bought this amp to play at home at a reasonable volume, I have a Fender Blues Deluxe (40W lamps) to play with my band, all with a battery of pedals to sculpt the sound for my taste .
So in conclusion, this amp is very good value for money if only one is used in the use for which it was designed, namely home, club ... so no real need for power.
For group play with a drummer you have two options, buy a box with an HP 12 inch and connect the speaker output of the super field, I tested and the result is quite convincing or buy a more powerful amp, but in any case forget modeling group because you have a puree effect if you push the volume, better invest in a good analog pedal quickly.

This is an amp lamps mi, mi transistor.
It is equipped with three lamps (1 of 12 and 2 of 6), fully utilized in Channel 1 (aka the clean channel). This is a great channel when you love the clean sound, a very typical Fender sound. Really nice bluesy sound. But be careful, whatever you do (without pedals), even if you turn this knob to 10, it does NOT crunch. Sound hums a little but you can not call it crunch. This is a pretty powerful channel
Channel 2 also uses his lamps, but mixed with the transistor aspect, where you can adjust the gain for example. We found a presetting knob 17 (or 18 I can not remember) types of sound with gain. It may be noted that some are typed bassman, others a little more princeton. In short, it is meant to be tested and versatility. The first two knobs are for me, what is closest to the clean sound of Channel 1 of the superfield (yeah still is the goal). We found a little the appearance of lamps at low volume, mixed with transistor when you put the gain knob at noon.
It's fun, it's a good compromise when you are at home.

It can also also set its own sound when connecting the unit to the computer (USB cable is supplied with) through the Fuze software.
There's of course a knob Treble, Bass (the amp is already full bass), and a full effects: This is frankly one of the strengths of this amp include reverb, the delay (adjustable via a little white button on the side of the knob to the right), tremolo, chorus, etc.. including a rule their power via the knob next door: F / X adjusted. So frankly, if we do not want to take the lead with pedals, this amp is really cool.

UTILIZATION

Frankly, Fender is hard not to understand an amp or so should do it on purpose.

The sound is really good in channel 1 and channel 2 is a very good compromise because you can play heavy distortion at low volume with the spirit lamp. There are less powerful than channel 1 but still gives a good sound.

SOUNDS

I play this amp with a Fender Tele U.S. Standard 93.
As I said, this is an amp that I find, is already full of bass. So when I plug my Gibson Lespaul, I hurry to the Bass knob to 1 because I'm too afraid to fart HP. Gibson knob + 6 (for example) = too much bass. It can be disabling on a Gibson but it is always something that can be level.
With the Fender is really not bad at all, there is the sound of the brand with good bass.
I use a lot of reverb (sometimes mixed with time: there is a reverb effect + time) and frankly, others do not tempt me too. After it is a matter of taste.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost 6 months and I am quite satisfied. However, I still looking for something more "lights" that crunch. Finally I'm led to only use the clean channel 1 because I'm not a fan as it sound transistor. So basically a good third of the amp does good to me. It's like 17 (or 18!) Preselected channel 2 sounds, since I've run in, I do not use one. It's impossible to use them all.
So finally, I mainly use the clean channel 1 + reverb ... Of course the Treble and Bass are essential.

What I like about him is his really nice little Fender sound in channel 1. What I like least is the versatility too (which defends some like), and it is not something I was looking into buying an amp.
It is still an amp worth its price / quality ratio. I bought € 400 on Thomann, this is a good price. We pay a can that it is a limited edition (which I believe also, do Supercontrol X2 differs from normal color unlike the Blues Junior III) but it is a good price.

With experience, I do not know if I would do this choice. This is not the amp itself that I do not like, far from it. I however realized that I'm facing all lamps. This is my first amp with lamps, and so I decided to take it, maybe it was not to get back to his transistor. This is why I play channel Clean the entire time.

Those seeking a tube amp with a bit more settings and versatility, go for it! Frankly, I think it is the best compromise of the amp home.

I have since yesterday. It is a good value This is a great amp to complete a wall of amps. It is really typed fender. I do not think we can do everything with. However, in the blues rock with the typical American Boss, it's not bad at all. If it were to do again, I repeat one.

UTILIZATION

Vintage design is nice, it makes an amp in line with the Twin, Blackface and others, the Fender look. It will be the small stage, or with big HP recovery. The settings are accessible without the fuss. Only thing to complain, no knob for Mid ... damage. This adjustment can be performed via the interface software FenderFuse. The latter is very ergonomic and allows you to set the amp on two channels. Channel 1 remaining in smaller type setting because it is less digital (pre-amplification and amplififcation tube) that channel 2.
This second channel is actually a Fender Mustang. Modeling, effects etc.. Everything is possible. The big advantage is that the sound passes through the tube amplifier stage. Otherwise it's the Mustang, so instead of well-priced for the digital.
It is rather light, compact and practical.

SOUNDS

CHANNEL 1: typical Fender clean sound. The pre-amp and tube amplification bring what to attack, compression and velvety. You can adjust the bass, treble (mediums via software) to add effects. Excellent.
CHANNEL 2: Go read the notice of the Mustang range, add compression and warmth of the tube stage and you get an idea of ​​the thing. Very good also.
The line out is a plus to connect Console online.
The USB audio interface is working okay, it can help. The advantage of being essentially the USB connection to the software FenderFuse. This is intuitive, ergonomic, very comfortable to use.

OVERALL OPINION

I owned a time its predecessor, the Super Champ, he was already very well but I was disappointed on two points:
- It vibrated (presumably against the power amp) more than uncomfortable
- The original HP was to stop attacking hard on humbuckers right from 3/4 volume ... not good!
I did not keep. A great regret because I liked many things in this little combo.
Since the Super Champ X2 came out ... corrects these defects! No unwanted vibrations, the original HP cash much better than the last.
Playing in a register rather Jazz, Fusion or I modified this amp simply by changing the HP. For despite the progress signified above can be obtained from the best Super Champ. My choice fell on an HP Lil'Buddy Eminence. This cash without flinching the full power of the lamps and a guitar with high output level. It is more "round" and strengthens the heat lamps. The sound is clear "fenderien", slightly less than the original HP. It excels in HP Eminence tessituras blues / jazz. The sound is clear even at very high volume. No sound even when boiled "crunch".
To conclude: Originally this combo is simply very good, it deserves a 8/10, with a midrange control on the front it was a 9/10. Changing the HP is a personal adjustment to my style and my sound affinities, I do not grade according to the change.
