For specifications is rather short:
- Lil monster 15W modeling
- Bowl 8 "Custom Voice
- Built-in effects (chorus, digital reverb, delay ...)
- Aux 3.5mm
- Record output / headphones 3.5mm

At the manufacturing quality is unable box 13 ply birch but it is relatively strong, the evidence he has already fallen by about 50cm high and not a glitch

UTILIZATION

I see some reviews on this amp or people say distos are good for teens who just want a rough distortion but for the price not expect a round and warm 100% we transistors!

The cleans are really REALLY usable but if you know where to look for them!

The effects are pretty good again not expect was the Boss effects or Mad Professor! Yen for all tastes (some do not serve a great thing I was so precise yen)

They range from lil nice crunch to overdrive a 6505 (which is here the most complete distortion of this amp)
Simulation of 6505 is simply de-cloak even with single coil
It simulates several amps brand, as Marshall (Plexi) Peavey (6505, JSX) and Vox

Negative side yen a few that are annoying in some situations:
- The bowl 8 "returns not enough bass and it's a shame

- There is no switch, 4-Channel AC would have been handy though
- No output to speaker or effects loop
- It is open-back (it still takes once bass sound)

OVERALL OPINION

I've had more than a year and a half and he filled me all this time.
For a first amp is very very good I must admit.
I play with a group and it is doing really bad (15w is more than enough).

It lived up to its brand, with its distinctive grain that only a Peavey can reproduce.

This is by far the amp with the best quality / price that I know much better than a Squier or other Harley Benton the same price though.

I HIGHLY recommend it without moderation beginners go there again

The Peavey Vypyr 15 is a 15-watt solid-state modeling combo amp with an 8" speaker on-board and a variety of different amps, channels, stomp box effects, and other features. Being only 15 watts, the functionality of this amp is somewhat limited. There is no jack to connect to an external speaker and there is no effects loop or any of the other advanced stomp box functionality that comes with some of the bigger (30-watt plus) Vypyr series amplifiers. Peavey incorporates a lot of the functionality by making the knobs on the front panel push/push knobs that activate different modes or different amp channel models. Each amp model has a low-gain and a high-gain channel, and can be incorporated with one of the stomp box modelers and fed into the equalization and output stages. The amp also has an 1/8" jack so you can hook up an external music player so you can jam along to your favorite tunes. It also has a recording out jack that you can connect directly to a DAW for direct recording.

UTILIZATION

It's not difficult to make this amp sound good. It's apparent that Peavey took the time to research the amps and try to emulate them as closely as possible. The amp is very touch-responsive, most likely due to Peavey's Patented TransTube technology. Being a Peavey product, many of the modeled amplifiers are Peavey models such as the 6505, JSX, and XXX amplifiers, but it also includes everything else you would expect such as Fender cleans, Marshall Crunch, boutique amps, and even some metal amps such as Diezel and Krank made the cut.

The only gotcha with this amp is that if you don't have a 1/4" guitar cable plugged into the input when powered up, it goes into a "light show" mode to save the LEDs and won't exit until you plug in a guitar, then power-cycle the amp. It makes sense from a component-saving point of view, but it's slightly impractical. Also, one of the prevalent issues with the amp is that, at times, if you turn of the amp it will not turn back on unless you let the amp sit for ten minutes.

SOUNDS

I play most of my standard Dimarzio-equipped Neal Moser guitars, Ibanez, and Gibson guitars thought this amp and it really excels in the space of a practice amp. You might be able to get some good recorded tones with it but I never tried. The EQ is fairly wide and there are LEDs that track with the position of the knobs so you can see where everything it set easily. Mostly, I use the Fender Deluxe cleans with a slight chorus and the Krank overdrive with a Tube Screamer up front. With the gain dialed up very high it can get a bit "fizzy" but one must have realistic expectations from a $99 15-watt solid-state amp.

OVERALL OPINION

The Vypyr 15 is a fairly simple and easy to use practice amp. I happened to pick one up second-hand for an extremely low price. If you're in need of a practice amp and don't need other features like a graphical interface so you can edit presets via a computer GUI, this is a great-sounding little practice amp.

Full connectivity, including a headphone jack and an auxiliary input (eg mp3 or pc) in both standard 3.5mm stereo.
15w power, but not too anemic screaming fast.
Side effects and adjustment, there's a crowd. With the ability to store your own sounds (like a multi-effect qque so), it is quite convenient.
The effects are credible in all models and quite successful. The only downsides are elsewhere and read below.

UTILIZATION

Flats, thus: hp size which inevitably limits the spectrum of sound reproduction, no footswitch to switch between connectable to a saturated clear (I know, this is not what you asked) and rather complex when some attention here. The leaflet can be downloaded and quite funny. This is not what is asked but she can be nice while being clear and concise. Cool they are fun at Peavey.

SOUNDS

It fits all, because like a duck it can do everything (but not very well! Well yes, a duck, it works, flying and swimming ... But all that, "not well").

OVERALL OPINION

this little Peavey Vypyr is my first amp and I'm happy, perfect for beginning and for the house but the county does not repeat it on the amp if your friend owned a 1X12 cabinet "is a tube amp you eat them raw.

However I tested with for seymour duncan sh4 installed on a United States of Charvel year 1984 or 1986 micro jackson on my Jackson soloist xl and I found it nice and correct me impressed that he could get the sound and good but it is a model and the last test I do is with my soloist and I changed it against the micro EMG and I found a little cold but more metal-oriented

I do not like my DOD FX86B Peavey Vypyr not mix the sound of a modeling amp with a distortion pedal they do not why

But the day I tested for a real Peavey 6505 I was disgusted forever modeling amp mods VYPYR 6505 and this is where I realized I had changed the amp and also my say no to more confidence in the modeling amp

basically for me it is surpassed amp for my level I'm having always good when I play it but it is not advice again and it is good for people who can not afford or those little background guitar and the beginner.
I redo this choice without hesitation the little Peavey Vypyr and I regret it

many are in the clear (very) saturated .... except for the crunch is all very consistent and correct (aahh the JSX)!

I used it for 1 year, not much to say except that given the multitude of settings, I finally just used it .... The footswitch is a real shame.

Amp modlisation A5W, this is the range between VYPYR.

The sound does not lack for a 15W package, with low trs in imposing heavy sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I possde last few months and it has replaced my line 6 spider 30w.
No regret, like an amp for less than 100euros, c'tait simply unthinkable a few years ago.
However, a small BMOL (h yes, c'tait far too good), my long suffering MODEL another bug ignition, it is the dye ncessaire and turn it back to work ... plutt weird even if it is not very frquent.
