The TC Electronic M350 has a dual engine to process effects with software control. It comes with a software editor that will allow you to control and edit with in real time. The front panel of the interface is where everything is, all your knobs and controls. The TC has 15 different reverbs some delay and modulation as well. I have been using the TC Electronic M350 for 3 years now and never had any issues with it, I have heard a lot of rumors saying that after a few years then will go bad on your but I haven't experienced that.


UTILIZATION

With 256 effects and presets, with 99 user presets you will have 355 total presets right at your finger tips. The power supply is internal so there is no plug that goes directly into the wall with the TC Electronics M350. It has 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs. There is also a MIDI in and out, with 1 Digital input and 1 Digital output. The whole unit is pretty small, it is no wider than 20 inches and weighs less than five pounds.


SOUND QUALITY

Yes you can rack the TC Electronic M350 up, it will only take 1 rack space. It does come with a manual but I don’t think I ever needed it.


OVERALL OPINION

The TC Electronics M350 has some really interesting presets that sound great, that is why I purchased it years ago. Since then I have been using so many other similar devices but I can always still go back to the TC Electronic M350 and know that I am going to get some great sounds. It was very easy to install and I never had a single issue with a driver or a software hardware issue. It has always worked and provided me with a great sound. I recommend it, especially now because it is a older unit and you can get a used one for really cheap. It is a great piece of hardware to have for your collection of gear.

I will not repeat the list of effects that others will have done below. I'll just say the delays and reverbs are a pleasant surprise for me with this machine. This is even why'm glad purchased.
I regret that the design prohibits certain combinations of effects. Mainly, what I miss is not being able to put delay after another effect ...

UTILIZATION

The presentation is extremely simple. The edition in memory is not complicated at all but it is not very accurate nor very comfortable. I have not read the manual because the editing was easy to understand.
I find the mix of this machine totally absurd. It has a button on a mix between the effect (chorus, delay, compressor ...) 2 and the effect (reverb) and a mix between the button and change its input. This is not accurate, especially since the buttons are not linear (and absolutely not graduate)!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound effects are obtained through the undeniably rich. It opened my outlook.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 3 years. I know that typically include keyboards and effect as it is at a level above. This rack is very good in his field but, as I wrote above, difficult to fine tune. The value for money is honest. I think I test the settings of the competition before choosing a next time.

PS: there is no on / off button on the front is absolutely detestable and switch between the two effects in parallel or in series on the back is rather absurd. (I'm still attached to this machine)

presets can be used but there's a button above to place the rack in manual: you can enjoy and benefit of simplicity .. : 1 fx on each button to choose the type of fx and three buttons for the edition ...

I have not opened the manual.

SOUND QUALITY

I like the color of the reverb, delay the suit them.

I use it to send fx on my onyx to electro music. (In my profile: ML and ML modded modded live were mixed with Song)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 months.

This version fixes the problem of breath that there was the m300.

I wanted a reverb that sounds in a rack simple and cheap .. I am delighted.

- Multi-effects rack "bi engine" to digital technology, connectivity and MIDI control etc ... but no on / off button (!!!)

UTILIZATION

- The unit was designated to be just as simple as possible to use, requires less than an hour of familiarization (one includes the time to read the manual).
- Editing of sounds is made relatively easy once one knows the functions offered and their actions. The M350 is fully twelve o'clock, one might ask when we see that there are knobs in that facade, but in fact there are individuals and presets saved when loaded absolutely do not consider the position of the knobs in the facade of the time but the position they had when the preset was saved. Most of this is of course not to have multiple menus with a plethora of parameters, the least is that to change a preset already registered, we must first put the knobs on the same position they occupied (thanks Small LED control over the digital display of the preset), making the slightest change in the preset long enough ... ultimately it's not so bad the drop

SOUND QUALITY

This is my first experience with TC Electronic and their reputation is far from being overrated: the effects of sound quality and purity advanced

The disadvantages of this beautiful machine:
- There is indeed an engine dedicated to the effects of modulation / delay effects and an engine for reverb, one can use two effects simultaneously at maximum
- The effects available are "ready-made formulas" with limited settings. If it was on some multi-effects 255 parameters to change everything about the effect in question, and of course the M350 you have to accept the effect as without being able to fundamentally change
- When the device driver in real time live via MIDI, it is expected to moderate to very high latency, for example if you go to a preset with a simple reverb or chorus (or phaser or flanger) plus a reverb is a lag of about one second. As against a preset with a shorter latency than a reverb blithely second and curl even two seconds

I had a digitech 2101 so far: a very good machine for programming push, but I wanted to try to change it since I was using only one or two digital effects without the preamp section and I found the camera changed a bit the magnitude and nature of the original signal. Given the reputation of TC electronics in terms of quality and transparency, I decided for the M350. The M350 is actually higher in gsp 2101 in terms of quality and finesse in the pure effects.

The effects are excellent, the most popular brand (like the excellent dynamic delay originally developed by TC in the 2290 version or the reverb "TC Classic Hall"). If we look closely we are all applications (voice reverbs and effects, drums and instruments).

BUT ...

the problem of the M350 is transparency in the A / D and D / A: Even if the grain M350 respects quite basic, it seems to act as a presence control (a very refined and low cut). Another problem with the setting that handles color gloss effects, I can not stand at 0. Yet another concerns the level, the setting mix (ratio wet / pure signal) set to 12 o'clock rolls here yet, but switched to more than two graduations to 9:00 or 3:00 p.m. I think the sound is unpleasant (too bright to one side or completely stifled the other) ... And suddenly, here is another problem with setting scale effect (helps to make one engine predominant effect compared to the other): if one intends to use a delay with a reverb is regulated by 12:00 ET it makes the time much too strong and present, or is adjusted after 12:00 and there is drowning in the reverb signal ... So finally we find ourselves a little trapped and must make a choice between quality of sound that passes through the multi-effects or effects used in the balance ... Eventually I ended up not serving me the time, which is a shame because they are excellent

on the other hand I would point out that the criticisms I make are mostly based on a matter of taste, and that happens very well to set up presets excellent. I mainly used the M350 series, the parallel use gives better results but it makes some unnecessary effects (like chorus, phaser and other modulations that work better in my opinion when dealing entirely the sound of origin)

So in the end, even though the M350 is higher than the level of pure quality sound effects, the gsp2101 is more flexible to use, better deals with the original signal, allows to use more effects and has no latency in changing presets via MIDI

OVERALL OPINION

Let's put things in perspective: I was still amazed for a device to only two hundred euros, but I think it is more suitable for use in the studio or live

As the sounds are always more telling than words, a small link to a site with samples of each effect, but it is against samples of M300, the previous version which is no longer manufactured the M350 (the differences between the two are minor):
