Emedia Releases My Violin
EMedia Music Corp. announced the release of My Violin, a program that introduces a new way for kids ages 6 and up (or anyone!) to learn how to play violin and read music.
The third release in eMedia's My Music series, My Violin features video demonstrations that guide children through the material, with interactive games and quizzes to help teach music notation and other basic concepts.
An animated character named Val the Violin guides kids through over 160 lessons authored and presented by professional violinist Sabina Skalar, M.M. My Violin covers basics such as holding & tuning the violin and playing rhythmic tunes, and moves on to playing songs, reading music notation and more. An animated fingerboard shows kids where to put their fingers as the live recorded audio plays. Also included are adjustable-speed MIDI tracks, so kids can learn at their own pace. Recorded voice and accompaniment tracks provide options to have fun with.
Pricing & Availability
My Violin will be available in January 2009 at computer and music retail stores nationwide at an estimated retail price of $49.95.
The CD-ROM is a hybrid for both Windows (XP/Vista) and Macintosh (OSX 10.1+).
