Mackie DL1608 and new DL806 digital mixers users will soon be able to remotely control and mix on their iPhone and iPod Touch.
Based on the Master Fader app for iPad, My Fader app for iPhone and iPod Touch allows performers to wirelessly control their own monitor mix on stage in a venue equipped with a DL1608 or DL806 digital mixer.
Version 1.0 features touch-friendly control over multiple input channels at once and an output selector for quick access to any mix, with channel muting, detailed channel ID and metering as well as a master fader. Plus, an access control feature can limit users to only control their assigned aux, keeping them away from other outputs. Another feature will allow for recalling from any snapshots from the current show on the DL mixer.

Mackie will also update the Master Fader iPad app to version 1.4. This free update will bring a new EQ or dynamics section, with vintage EQ, compressor and gate. The show management and overall snapshot operation are also updated for users with complex shows and multiple wireless devices. With DL series mixers the users can snap a photo of the band with their iPad camera or choose from a selection of handy icons and use this as channel ID. With v1.4 these images are now synched between all wireless devices connected to the mixer. The snapshot system will also store and recall these images across devices and the user can add an image to each show to help with identification. Plus, shows now load in the background, keeping all wireless devices online when a show is changed. And, of course, shows will seamlessly transfer between the DL1608 and new DL806. The Mackie Master Fader v1.4 will be available for download from the AppStore.
