SOUND QUALITY

She has a particular grain that I find more bitter than my TS9 for example. Ideal for rock or heavy. It works well with my trs Les Paul, my EMG or my Laney amp. Perfection or almost

May not be as versatile as the Maxon / Ibanez SD 9 but it does not rate the same price.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for more than 15 years. It is a distortion of Premire I bought and is by far my prfre. Trs beautiful grain that passes for a lot of pieces, less sweet than the TS9.

I tried quite a few since I possde MODELS several distortion pedals from Boss and this is the best among the "modern", in addition it is affordable.

The report quality price can not be better.

I do it again this choice without hsiter if I make another set of pedals.

Overdrive serious, solid, realistic and dynamic

SOUND QUALITY

Excellent effect, only be used for anything blues, jazz, rock and even punk.
It can also boost a marshall amp for sound metal.
Sustain huge, with dynamic response well suited to the game (it crieeeeeeeeeeee)
Low: fully only when the drive is fully, if they are somewhat narrowed, but nothing serious. Fishing remains genial!

OVERALL OPINION

I should buy it for years (I play for 16 years ...).
By far the best BOSS pedal, with an unbeatable price (bought in Japan for 50 euros), if you want to make music is a must!

Bonus: in the mix, it fits perfectly with no compression or EQ! A JEWEL! FINALLY A REALISTIC SOUND! yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

UTILIZATION

It has a gain, a tone and volume of output that's it!
The rglage is very simple to do when you know what you want.
The manual is in French, it is clear and prcis!

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are good, especially in the first part of the gain, I use it as a booster, with a LTD MH 40, a BLACK STAR HT dual tube amp and a 60 EVAN!
Respect for the character of the guitar is perfect and gives a little more aggressiveness is already heavily distorted sound at the base. It does not boil or the acidity as the boss ds 2.
Only one can IT CAN BE USED to blues, pop and rock of old.
The Tone knob is trs of effective, he gives this versatility to the pedals.
Personally, I use it with the gain at 10 o'clock, the tone and the level at noon was 14 hours on a signal already distorted I Rapel!

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using the 12/01/2007, and for me without problems!
It respects the sound of my gear and add a grain of folly for breaks or furious riff mlodique on a string.
I had a bunch of distortion for the boost and I'll stop I think the!
A 40 is a case like the pedals friends !!!!!!! I ressignes c'tait YES if a remake!
Have a look on http://www.myspace.com/chookas , you will find a small glimpse on Inros songs 2 and 4: WARNING, this is tt with Vox ToneLab SE and multieffect The LTD MH 400. It possesses an accumulation pdalier trs succeeded in this and I rgler pedals for a Marshall JCM 800 in a 4 x 12 marshall.
I think it was worth a prciser!

Boss Overdrive simualnt analog distortion of a tube amp.

UTILIZATION

Simplified Deployment:
- Drive: saturation intensity.
- Tone: tone color saturation (dosage bass / treble).
- Level: level of output.

SOUND QUALITY

Very good dynamic rendering.
Very versatile pedal.
I use it mainly mild boost and overdrive in addition to the overdrive of my Marshall Valvestate for warm distortion, efficient, doing well out harmonics.
I play an Ovation Breadwinner. In clear channel, the crunch is superb. In overdrive, by adjusting the knob at the bottom, the rhythm is clear and dynamic. By increasing the knob, the sound is warm and well saturated round.
Only problem (met with any overdrive pedals a bit too far): the breath .... With an adequate noise gate (ie. the decimator) is perfect.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 1 month. I had used before in a DS-1 boost and a TS-9 overdrive classic. I bought the TS9 after long hesitation between it and the SD-1. I was quite disappointed with the TS9. This is a great overdrive pedal but too oriented blues. She excels in clean (especially with microphones Texas), but with distortion or boost, I found the sound too "loud" and too cold. The SD1 gives me what I wanted from an overdrive pedal with distortion: the sound is warm and round as I want. Dynamic rendering stays true despite the high volume distortion. This is the perfect overdrive for rock (the slight crunch to the big heavy rhythm).
The value for money is excellent (especially compared to a TS9). This choice I would do without hesitation.

Overdrive is to say not too straight forward.
Like all BOSS is not a true bypass, but I heard no sound altration when the pedals are class without an effect is triggered.

SOUND QUALITY

I made some modifications on it: I changed a silicon diode clipping of a FET (the hottest), I have a TL072 storage piles on the first PDO (more gain) and I changed the condo of a higher value (more serious).
It's better, the sound is more EHJV, more gain and a higher sound lev.
We can say also that it is less dry, it loses its nasal winning cot particularly serious.

Any takers, the change is simple for those who can weld.

I find that this pedal is perfect boost in saturation or very low or even just a slight crunch.

I got my money or a pedal very correct for a great price, both simple and effective.

I use it between my Highway One Start and my Marshall JTM 30 combo any lamp.
What I love is that it fully respects the tone of my guitar-amp pair that suits me perfectly.
This is my first pedal overdrive in 17 years of practice! I simply compared with the TS9 with a friend, I prefer the BOSS for grain neutral (which may correspond to a quality defect or otherwise according to what is desired!). Otherwise a small comparison, just for laughs with the simulation equivalent of my little multi-purpose, obviously nothing to do!

OVERALL OPINION

Well, me I agree completely. But beware, my advice is worth what it is, that I never used many different overdrives: ie that of my amp, my multi-effect, or plugins, and computer I use this relatively rarely, or rather that I'm starting to get serious especially after having played clean.
Not disappointed at all, and fair price, I would.

Then, j love it! Not only as an overdrive pedal it stands up very well and we get a good sound easy but what's more it takes on the role very well boost! It was in itself that I use and coupled with the overdrive of my amp Marshall MG50 DFX or my Boss OS-2 is a real treat, a boost clean and efficient, just what need (with the right settings of course).
FYI, I use a Fender Telecaster Highway One

I have for a week but I had already tested previously and different amplifiers.
I tried several models before, but one that is my favorite by far!
What I like most is when I use it as a boost or coupled with another pedal, I find that the result is great and I love the tone produced.
The price / quality ratio is very good, especially compared to the astronomical price overdrive and finally are no better than this small SD-1!
I do it again without hesitation that choice =)
