APG SMX15

I tested the bugs during a dozen concert with an artist applying many, many levels.
For once I have tested many models, Meyer, L Acoustics, Adamson, I am a regular at Max 15 d & b.

Level high, it does not lack, it goes up, depending on the microphone (in my case a Beta 87A) There's some very high frequencies to bury. For the rest of the eq, nothing extraordinary, a few tips here and there, but no aberration, the chamber is still very balanced. What comes first is still feeling the pressure very nice ...
After testing in wedge, I sides tried, I was more than skeptical, in the coax side, it's still not what is best, but there, for once, it works, then, obviously, if the opening is too large, that's right, but on a platter of a dozen meters wide, it works really well. Losing ground effect, you lose the slight surplus for low voice, suddenly the eq is even simpler.
So here, bravo APG, it's nice for a brand that is often criticized, the company tells us they can do some very good products that can compete with carefree competitors brought to the level of reference.
In summary, the SMX 15 is a powerful comeback, balanced, with a big presence there that allows him to perform in return musicians, but easily modifiable to be very powerful in voice and usable sides on trays too large. The only small problem from the size of the box which can be annoying on small plates or of special events where the visual is more important than sound quality ...

The SMX 15 is for us one of the best market returns.
The only multi return angles (5) that fits all situations in concert.
The only problem is sometimes its very small footprint on the scene.
I reassure "boboson" in these columns that questions the reliability of the magnets and slings of the box.
We use them very intensely on concerts since 2008, not a mechanical problem.
Like all returns painting deserves from time to time of tinkering here and there but hey!
We also use (because it is sometimes forced other trademarks LA, B or D & Meyer) we never get as much finesse.
No need to carve like mad on KT DN 370 or other BSS 966, except when using CCA in One Man Show and so far nothing abnormal.
Driven by Lab Gruppen FP 10000Q process by a DMS 26 APG result is stunning.
We are more reserved side use with 115S or 215S TB sub on big stages but a system 4000 APG take over easily.
