I used 6 months.

What is so special that you like most and least?
Most:
- 4 banks of 32 pads.
- 3 banks of controls.
- Ableton Live Lite 8 and some banks comes with drums.

Cons:
- The programming software "Vyzex" is a real shit! (Not tested on Windows 7 under OS.X.).
- Many crashes with Ableton Live 8.

Did you try many other models before buying it?
No, it was the first such model that I bought.

How do you rate the quality / price?
Level hardware value for money seems correct machine is robust with good materials, but level software to use it correctly is a real pain!

With experience, you do again this choice? ...
No, I'll see the side of Native Instruments ...

For how long have you been using it? I used it for six months to make good live (DJ sets on ableton) Did you try many other models before getting this one? Not really, but I used a BCR Beringer 2000 that did not work (I do not spit on Beringer but hey ...) So back to the store, then I used a UC33 (not bad but not very practical knobs and no pads which makes the functions of loop rather tedious), then I used a Roland SP555 sampler as control for the kick with three knobs and quality pads. With the MPD 32 I was a little shall summarize what I needed in an interface: launch pads for my track, doing loops, ableton control what, to put fader effects and control them more intuitively (LPF and HPF filters beat repeat) and decent knobs. What thing do you like most/least about it? most faders practices, resistant / pads (very convenient to use than I did; type controller with a belief in a live is much more convenient than carefully aim a small button) / Configuration of the beast, just clear / the serious side of the animal, the machine does not really toy Least The size of the machine, maybe it is stupid but for playing in small bars, it's very annoying that the equipment is beyond the table, and even more bulky to transport (due I convert a small large aluminum case and the line of "bubble wrap") / the knobs I explain, in a live or were not staring at the controller, and where we change two parameters at the same time, the endless knobs c is super annoying, after that only my opinion, but on that, maybe it was the UC33 an edge (with knobs nomadic and not endless) combined with a small interface with Korg or Akai 8pads to compensate .. . To summarize all this it's still an excellent, do not misunderstand, excellent value for money, for cons, make no mistake by buying it and I'm not advertising for the seller but there are quite way to find 240 euros and dust, so do not pay 40 euros too much on principle Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ... No, I do not think, as I will not go the choice of RCC, or UC33, because ultimately I still have not found the interface that suits me perfectly, however, it is a quality interface and even if the pads are not those of the high-end MPC or I do not know what, it's still an efficient machine, easily configurable, and especially a monster live when one starts where I left .
