«  Just a good product. »

Note that I've never owned a laptop before, so I took the E530 for what it is.
Musician "electro", it took me to provide a mobile configuration in the event of future concerts. But finally this computer is also used to call me. My budget was tight, no more than 600/650 euros for a laptop.
Exit, then, Apple.

Prospecting in the net, I found that generally recommended for portable computer music brands were Asus, Dell, Sony, IBM / Lenovo, Toshiba.
In order to have a PC with the bare necessities (no real need graphics card for example) and if you can mount myself, I wondered what brands offered can configure his computer. Namely: Dell, Sony and Lenovo. Lenovo seemed to be the best compromise.

My setup is minimal: Win7, i3 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD 7200rpm. Works perfectly with Motu Microbook 2. In eight months of use I had no right to live with significant crash (ie apart from mishandling on my part). A 4ms latency properly supports multiple instances of VST hungry processor. I would say that I still have a little room. After that, everything depends on the working methods of each.

The + + +:

- Quality honest manufacturing
- The matte screen
- The discreet enough ventilation
- 3 USB 3.0 + 1 USB 2.0 powered
- Four screws easy to remove for cleaning, adding RAM, hard drive replacement / addition of an SSD ...
The processor upgrade can also be done, apparently without problem (not that the guarantee does not jump by against).

The ---

- The choice of OS: Windows 8 is the default and it took a 80th pay for Windows 7, in addition to a Windows 8 that I would not be using
- Not related to the product, but I think the Lenovo site is lousy. In fact it gives the impression of being perpetually under construction and does not inspire confidence, but it may have changed.

Now see if the computer is on time.
