Sound card used for recording guitars and vocals as well as VST Midi keyboard.
My config: AMD 1.3 billion, 512 MB RAM, 2 discs 80 and 40GB IDE all under Windows XP.

The characteristics of this card are very good for my use (nothing to do with my prcdednte Guillemot Isis Card)

USE

Nickel chrome Installation .In 5 minutes, PCI card, cable, limp and drivers were installed.
Pass it took a little more time on the paramtrage outputs.

No incompatibility with PCI port or my other cards!

IMPLEMENTATION

Echo drivers are very stable.

I mainly use VST32 Cubase, Wavelab, Sound forge, sometimes Acid Pro and Cool Edit Pro.
This little world is understood very well.
At latency (very very important for the VSTI-controlling) .We easily falls below the 10ms bar (depending on the adjustment of the size of your buffer!)

NOTICE GLOBAL

I have this card for 2 months now .All except for me may be the qualitfinition the housing (plastic potentiometers that rub slightly, not much access to the headphone volume knob when the branch headphones .The seen meter can help if you have nothing other .Echo could add 1 or 2 LEDs!)

Malgrs this, if c'tait again, I would take this card!

First map (thus incompetent to compare with others)

UTILIZATION

Drivers nickel. 2 updated since 01/2010. also works well after install before. No problem with Cubase 5. Imperceptible latency effect unless large insert (eg. Disto of plug-edged guitar. Electrical: offset to listen to a few milliseconds. The final file is stalled, it's just listening to it is difficult ).
I did not notice limit currently tracks (up to 25 then 20 pm)

GETTING STARTED

Immediate installation. No bug. Fully compatible and easily configurable with Cubase 5. Manual simple and clear.

OVERALL OPINION

Installation, operation, results, absolutely no problem with this card for 2 years for heavy use.
Note: Cubase 5 v1.00 working fine, I've never updated. So my remarks compatibility for Cubase 5 are for the version 1.0 software Steinberg.

At latency (trs trs important for the CONTRL VSTI). We go down easily below the threshold of 10ms (depending on the adjustment of the size of your buffer!)

OVERALL OPINION

I have this card for the past two months. All except for me may be the case of qualitfinition (potentiomtres plastic rubbing lgrement, not much access to the headphone volume knob once the headphones plugged . The nitre seen can help if you have nothing more. Echo could add 1 or 2 LEDs!)

Despite this, if c'tati again, I would reiterate this card!

PCI / rack, and a favorable opinion of users led me to this map.
Some dceptions with others too ...

She turns to record the guitar (Godin Multiac Ibanez electric or mainly) and many in midday, a track record in both.
The pramps are the same remaining light shoots back, they are not effective trs (but that price, there is the manufacturer to make a sales pitch)

Old config, but no major problem (pentium IV 2.4 and 2 gigabytes of ram, an old hard drive and motherboard asus P4P800 in short, something of what in 2000!)

I use Sonar X1 bought at the same time, I was working with Sonar 3 before.
I work on music and short remix so there are often 30 tracks at the same time or more.
Correct latency (useful for recording live at noon)

Easy Installation

Setup output audio and rglage master and headphone unusual.

Incompatibility more or less, let's say I do not use in Sonar rglage prconis by Cakewalk for this card, which is also the one recommended by Echo Audio. Otherwise, I can not rgler my latency as I wish. In manual mode so I rule tracks qd my project is too "big" to lower the latency and to register properly. My config is a bit light so it's not a problem ncessairement card but more power from my PC.

Concise manual, advice and forums can be used for children under the rods particulire output connectors.

OVERALL OPINION

I tested two other models before

I like its performance, sound clarity and PCI ct / rack (I do not like the USB)

I like the least connection and headphone jack mono when I go out from Sonar for example (though the output is from a reader STREO Winamp style) I go through the blow out of the monitors in order to be stro
It is the least of this card, you need a connection particulire out to the monitors (a double-jack-mono/double-RCA cable) to exit from Sonar in Stereo (or other) and two mono jacks to the monitor for Winamp because it uses two output paths DIFFERENT depending on the signal.
I explain: 1 & 2 for winamp and 3 & 4 to Sonar or 4 output jack derrire the box connect the monitors to get sound without using the routing and unplug and reconnect constantly moves from one derrire qd a soft one another. So you have to play with the volume because the monitors also work for the master output (1 & 2) but not the other (3 & 4) There is also the solution to mix small table between the rack and the speakers.
The cable does it score only 10 euros more in the end, but given the feedback, ease of use one hand and slap permanent sound for the price each use the other hand, is a worthwhile.

This time, it is not really CHRE and devilishly effective.
A choice I would do so without hsiter!

To get an ide sound I recommend cost of securities that are working well (mixing clear and dynamic, compared with a conventional drive or another card, I still can not for the price !)

Tired of the many stalls and driver problems posed by some front USB or Firewire that I had in my possession, I wanted to turn to a PCI model + rack connection, keeping it simple in order to to catch only in home studio.

UTILIZATION

I confess that for this specification, the Gina3G gives me satisfaction for the entire hour since with only two input preamp and a configuration interface relatively clear, it is very easy to use. Never had a crash seems serious and Echo: I did not have to wait 2 years to have 64-bit drivers.

I usually only records one track at a time, so I can not say much about this aspect of the card, however, that the latency is low enough to play virtual instruments with ease.

GETTING STARTED

The installation as the configuration are very simple and the manual provided in English relatively well. No inconsistency to date, either side and multimedia music software.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a good year now and I greatly prefer it to the FireWire 410 and the FireBox I had previously, who dropped out too often.

In contrast, no surprise regarding preamps: as on all interfaces of this price range, there is very little headroom and it is often found three-quarters of the race of the volume knobs at the outlet. Fortunately, the preamp is not noisy.

Briefly, this side is below what one sees in MOTU or RME, to name a few, but we are also faced with a card that is anything but a gas plant, which is important for me.
