The number of entries was the first selection criterion then its price.
Having previously Maya 44 card which I was very satisfied, this product seemed the logical evolution.

UTILIZATION

I record a multitrack drum machine midi, two guitars, a bass and a microphone with no noticeable latency (5.8ms) with a good old Pentium 4 dedicated to the computer music.

GETTING STARTED

Connecting the card, installing drivers, it's ready in 15 minutes.
Everything goes without problems, the card is recognized immediately.
More update for a while, a window greater control would be welcome.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 7 years and it still runs perfectly.
In my small amateur level practicing for fun, it's a great product.
Comprehensive routing capabilities, number of outputs, correct quality converters, stable drivers and prices.
For the home studio recordings and "live", it is nickel.
I'm thinking of switching to a Motu 828mk3 to benefit from some additional inputs and also to check if we really changes-end but until then this map satisfies me.

I was looking for a sound card with enough inputs and outputs to manage my various instruments and my mixer.
I have a PC with a Pentium 4, 2.6Ghz, MSI motherboard with 1 Giga of RAM running Windows XP.
J'utilse a sequencer, Cakewalk Sonar, or with virtual instruments, plug-ins, etc ...

UTILIZATION

Installation was done without any problem. The drivers are stable and my applications started to work perfectly with a minimum effort, which had not been the case with Marian card I bought a few days ago and I bring the walking.
gnrale configuration is very simple. The settings panel is very user friendly despite a rather crude manue. The only shortcoming is the absence of adjustment of the South (filtering, echo ..).

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are stable trs.
I use Cakewalk, Sonar, WaveLab, Sampletank and some virtual instruments. Latency is very satisfactory, almost imperceptible.
The card seems to work well with Cubase.
The application allows DirectWIRE to juggle applications using different types of drivers, it can be convenient in some circumstances.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 months. I made other tests before this card with another material (Marian Midi March 4) that it has proved impossible to work properly.
It is a bit expensive but it is quiet once it is installed. The rack with 8 inputs / outputs and two MIDI ports provides some comfort.

I rcherchai a multi input interface (guitars, bass, vocals, external expander ...), a good value for money, and intuitve ...

Configuration: Win XP PC, motherboard abit, 80 GB hard drives of 2, 256 of Ram.

Fostex linemixer 2016, 4-track Yamaha MT 120, Expander Korg ns5r, MiniDisc Sony Atrac c3, Boss DR5.

UTILIZATION

Installation is simple, no conflict.
I had some small problems at start of some software, even more, the manual included is English / German. Prblèmes quickly resolved with the help of the hotline in IPE Music, the manual I was French ships in 3 days, and advice hotline allowed me to configure the card.
The French manual is clear.

GETTING STARTED

I use this product for several days (and nights ...), currently no problems.
log: Cubase SX 2.0, Cool Edit Pro 2, Guitar Pro 4.
The latency is not noticeable.
Reading 4 tracks (for now ...)
recording 3 tracks.

OVERALL OPINION

I did that for qques days.
I like the possibilities of Direct Wire, Control Panel.
I have essyé the youngest of Hercules in the F / W. I find it less ... suitable, more expensive, less intuitive for the non-technical I am.
The ESP 1010 is, in my opinion, a exellent price / quality ratio.
Yes, without hesitation.

I chose this card because:

- It possde features 24-bit/96kHz audio (properly)
- It has 10 inputs and 10 outputs indpendantes format and Jack 6 "35
- It has 2 headphone outputs
- It has 2 analog XLR mic +48 V Phatom (unfortunately running the final with an adapter not included).
- It is a 1U rack easily incorporated into a small home studio.

The config is:

768 MB DDR no name
Athlon XP 2600 + (1.92Ghz)
Hard Drives Maxtor 8 MB cache 80 GB + 120 GB

Use include: reason 2.5, cubase, VSTS, MPC 2000, Platinum Vynil ....

I have problem to install the control panel of the card does not work for me ...

And I have no sound, video of a problem after a few seconds ... Byzarre ....

Soon five months of intensive use and is comfortable rvle done everything, dual headphone jack is handy for example for monitoring voice-making. As against bad they did not prvus of volume control on the headphone jacks ...

Before this card, in j'tais Sound Blaster Live! Platinum so I do not really have much basis for comparison ... but I do not regret that choice despite a damn in the first card purchase.

Installation is fairly simple we follow the instructions and it works under Windows XP.
I have a few cons with the galley by live wire but after a few lessons I managed to climb Audiofanzine Reason as a slave in cubase.
Live wire is complicated but practical for interconnecting multiple audio software at the same time

OVERALL OPINION

I use for 2 years in a home studio in Senegal / I've saved a lot of rap and acoustic setting with in cubase.Pas problem of latency.
on the other hand are only 2 entries for the preamplifier so used to their full Preamp he will need 6 or more console.De the spdif input is 9-10 and has never served.
The price is a bit expensive compared to what is happening now.
With the experience I rather switch to a USB or firewire type fire studio (MAUDIO) and especially with 8 inputs preamplified (less branching, fewer galleys) more modern, more mobile and adaptable to a portable p ^ c
That said it's still a very good card stable and solid (PCI) to work in multitrack integrate it with other equipment (preamp, mixer, monitoring ...) but solid

I bought this card for 6 years regardless prs; used with cubase studio 4 on a dual core running XP, I found the quality price ratio interresting; until the crash occurred after systm s a series of crunches, reading, both in cubase, on my drive. rparateur of Diagnostic Tool (who had not the external rack): virus, so formatting, and reinstalling the systm, cubase, Carten etc. ....

I have been able to work 4 or 5 times since, and once again, blue screen, and impossible to boot! rerparateur, and my computer works, but when even slower! for the guy, that is a problem of incompatibility with Windows, but I don 'think so, is that somebody had the same kind of problem?

I realized many projects (multi-track recording / mixing and component-based vsti) ESP1010 with this audio interface, which operates totally well since I've never had a single prob avec.Par cons in having better, I n'ais rarely used both preamp that are integrated with the ESP1010.

UTILIZATION

Drivers? well I've never changed the drivers! I must say that I have this interface since 4 years, and it seems to me there was a reprint of this interface, on mine the association with the PCI card is via a D-sub, the connectors are different and Powered through phantom with a real switch on the front of the rack.
