I wanted acqurir a DTD system with qualities converters to add my home studio the opportunity to record audio. Having long boss "amateur" on PC, o us I have done more computer Troubleshoot than music, I decided to switch MAC o supply is more restricted but more professional.

My config. current is:

I use it for 6 months

I've also tested it with two deltas...and it's awesome!!

OVERALL OPINION

A highly competent professional recommended it to me when it came out. I was just starting out with my home studio, so the price was quite remarkable. I think its value for money is almost unbeatable, given the quality of the converters. I've been in some home studios with more expensive gear that isn't as good. Having hardware gear, its 8 ins/out are a real treat. I'm seriously considering buying a second one for more comfort

It is the Premire audio cards allowing monitoring at zero latency VST! and Yadji over 3 years was!
We wanted to monitor our guitar effects VST .... it was time rel ... M-Audio did.
At the time there in silent PII 400, Abit card, SCSI IBM HDD U2W.
I use a direct box or a standard Mackie 16/04.

UTILIZATION

3 years, the drivers are still as good!
These maps support all OS, all platte platforms .... if a M-audio does not work on your machine, your machine has a pb, not the card.
No incompatibility with the same old AMD. Against the latency may vary depending on the motherboard chipset.
The control panel is simple, c is a mini mixing desk, nothing scary.

GETTING STARTED

The monitoring of drivers is an example followed by all other manufacturers!
We test these cards with Cubase VST 5.1, SX, Nuendo, Wavelab, and all products-Native Instuments and Propellerheads.
On a 2 Ghz PIV, we stayed 32 buffer is 0.5 ms latency at 48 kHz.
Our client could not believe the ears!

OVERALL OPINION

We use this card, since its release in France, there are almost 3 years!
This lead to the conclusion that this card is very good quality at the component level.
It was shot in studio, and works so far at least 4 h / day! Never one concern.
We had tried ISIS, Gadget Labs is full of .... more ....
The report price is very good quality, especially since the change of distribution!
I remake that choice of course!

Installation too simple, you branch (paying attention, anyway) and it works

Souss was the doc in English, but the manufacturer distributes it on its website in PDF format.

The drivers are often updated on the site and not making a problem.
I mainly use Reason to create and it allows me to export mix has 10 tracks simultaneously without problems of latency (9 ms). For the record, I can say that the monitoring-direct it terrrrible!

OVERALL OPINION

I possess 2 years
What I like is the robustness of the product, its simplicity and versatility.
In addition the quality of converters 24/96 and in general all the electronics is nikel after 2 years.
With the competitive price, I buy it back on it!

UTILIZATION

No problem to install. However, think back to the latest drivers on the site of m-audio: the latest is the most stable ... Creamware would do well to take a leaf!

No inconsistency encountered except for GigaStudio (I must be round, which then can be Tascam questions ...), anyway, the last is not worth anything, so ...

Attention to the dashboard, a small adjustment period is required ... That said, it's a cinch once taken over the dock.

Correct latency: 4 ms input and output without stalls, even with M5 ...

I tried four tracks simultaneously, with effects ... Result: Flawless'. I think the 8 tracks in sync are not a prolem bare.

OVERALL OPINION

1 year of use, and no problems.

The CAN / NA are excellent: a very light color in the lower midrange, and his present, a good dynamic and permanently rendered faithful, what more? A lament the lack of preamp input line but hey, that price is not better ...

The use for over a year, I do not know what it means unstable. it works that's all.

OVERALL OPINION

More than a year in my computer without me default. reliable as possible, high quality, I had one before Isis, there is no, but no comparison.
Now I just turn on the computer and work.
Not only does this choice I would do but I will take to increase the number of tracks.
For those who hesitates, I said "eyes closed, go ahead." to date, value for money unbeatable.
Only downside, I have sometimes raluumer 2 times the computer for the map lights.

Features are very basic..has midi, 8 I/O's plus SPDIF to make it 10 I/O's, thus the name 1010. Wish it had a headphone jack but with a mixer that is solved. But has a very clean look to it and fits in my rack perfectly.

UTILIZATION

Quality is top notch...There are many M-audio interfaces to choose from but this one is right up there with the best for analog. Considering it came out years ago..it is still very good. OVERALL OPINION

Very clean for a package in this price range..So clean that with proper speakers, cables and line conditioners...the sound of bad humming is non-existant. Read other reviews from other retailers to get more information.

Love it..for my purposes for a in home studio..I am glad I bought this to go with my protools m-powered 7.0 setup.
