since 2010, I use the C24 in particular for recording concerts of all kinds in small and large rooms, and if conditions are good (location sound quality indoors), I get very good results ^ ^ I touch after using a sound editing software, including playing on the equalizer (higher highs and lower low in fat) and volume ... because I set the input level low enough (between 2 and 9), already to prevent it saturates, and also to limit the background noise of the public, and it works pretty well, after that obviously can not compete with a record Pro!

I also took a trip to Africa to save Christmas (percussion) and it's nickel, as it has excellent battery life and does not require a battery

Another big advantage of this device, in my opinion, is that it is not sensitive to mechanical impact or manipulation during recording, unlike other devices from other manufacturers (Z. ..)! in addition, it is small and very discreet

and of course, it is ideal for recording rpeter between musicians, for which I had bought at the base!

before that, I had the 2G, but the integrated USB dropped after a year, suddenly the device is unusable ...

in the range of pocket recorders, so I would say it is ideal for its size, range and ease of use ^ ^

I use it for 3 months (€ 180 to buy Star's Music), I keep constantly on me to record all the sounds I like.

Urban environments to more natural environments, the quality of the device surprised me more than once, the sensitivity adjustment is done easily and quickly we forget the "auto level". The low-cut filter, even if not always useful, effectively removes unwanted noise due to wind for example.

I use it mainly to insert a track background in some pieces to create a special atmosphere ... station, evening demonstration, everything goes and merges with the music naturally.
Sometimes I triturated some ambient sounds into the FX and even melodies, interesting sounds are quite easy to isolate post-treatment (even with plugins restoration free).
Another interesting use is to create pseudo-impulse response in the hands and clicked his recording everything. This is not the only hope for a natural sound of this method (not super strong), but by inserting the sample obtained in a convolution reverb plugin, the results are rather unexpected and can-so-dosed pretty cool song.

To save / repeat concerts, it was a really nice quality to go, it's clean and there are much everything you need (even if I disable the often low-cut filter which is too high in my typing taste)
Then the practical side: USB stick, rechargeable battery via USB, memory card slot (not used yet but it will not be long with the holidays approaching!).

To summarize
The +: Sound quality, battery life (energy and connectors), light weight, price / quality ratio
The -: low-cut filter some "violent", "auto level" not usable in my case

In conclusion with imagination can do many things without feeling limited by the device, I highly recommend it to hackers who like to work carefully the mood of their songs but are reluctant to jump straight into the top -end.

I have long compared the Zoom H2 and the Yamaha C24 ... there's really no contest!
Smaller, more compact, lighter, more recording capacity, greater autonomy, better recording quality, built-in speaker ...
The seller of Manoel music gave me all the arguments and proved to me that this product was the product!
In addition, it is much newer than the "old" H2 has almost 3 years.
The clip is super convenient and the USB stick preventing loss of the USB cable (one is at most qd a friend and you want to transfer with the H2 or if you have cable or SD card reader it is damn! ).
Finally I tried to catch her on piano, guitar amplifier, acoustic guitar + vocals and full band, the sound is excellent.

I really recommend you this little machine.
