I use it for 2 months now to record guitar and I find it really satisfying.
It is super easy to use both in the recording of export to a computer via the SD card.
I recommend buying the accessory pack for more foot usb cable.

At her I think we have a very good record for the price.

Conclusion = Zoom here to bet everything on the internal power and sound quality of this little gadget a little neglected and the rest to offer a very aggressive price ... I totally agree with this policy in the end it was a pocket recorder certainly very cheap in terms of plastic but quite impressive in quality recording (. wav maximum = wow!) the perfect companion for capturing ambient sounds and audio models do not so bad ... I use it for about a year
- In rehearsal: I record all the repeats and I replay the pieces to find what to improve, what to keep creations, etc. ..

I use it since late 2010. I have not tried many models before buying it, I just dicatphone Olympus, perfect for voice but not for group use to record drums or bass, all of it saturated on. So I turned to this photo H1, to be able to record rehearsals of my band with a sound that does not saturate.
He filled that role perfectly.

With the experience so I would do this choice because it suits us perfectly and it has not ruined at all!

Recorder "on hand" micro SDHC card

Recorder "on hand"? I was skeptical at first, user devices ferving shoulder. The first portable memory card I had was in fact an Edirol R-44, a four channel shoulder. I am therefore surprised to find myself now with more in my park no less than four writers "at hand".

Suffering from lack of autonomy of the Edirol R-44 (only 4 hours on 4 AA batteries), I first obtained as a recorder "hand" the Sony PCM-M10 for its exceptional battery life (between 19 and 42 hours on 2 AA batteries !!!). But as his microphone did not follow (lack of stereo image), I got the Nagra Ares-ML 4 GB with stereo microphone capsule green band and there in this field, I obviously made a huge leap forward and with less autonomy but quite acceptable (10 hours on 2 AA batteries). But the problem is that it does not have thread for camera tripod. To compensate for this and in any case have a good couple of new features compared to Nagra, I got myself a Zoom H4n which is a true Swiss Army knife of sound recording. But it really lacks discretion. So I told myself that this photo says H1, while being mounted on a tripod and while remaining discreet, he could do the trick for certain situations. Especially as cheap and simple to implement, I can not lend it to another virtually "anyone", it is not harmful.

This recorder is really low cost in every sense of the term. From the perspective of size, it is tiny. From the perspective of functionality, it has just the minimum subsistence nothing more, not like the H4n. From the perspective of price, it beats all records for a floor price. The recorder is quickly put into service. It is low cost even at the battery: it takes 10 hours on one AA battery. When the lights, it goes directly into standby registration.

My ZOOM H1 seems to be faulty:
Even off the LR06 1.5 V battery drains in 3-4 days!
I did a test of consumption of the device turned off.
Final result: 33mA DC current being OFF ...

Value for money at the top when you see the price of other recorder (which I've never used but apparently not all excellent recording quality). So for less than 100 € are no photo!

I bought this recorder for my mother who sings in a choir, she unfortunately could not use it long because he emptied cells: very fast (3 to 4 days while turned off). However, following consultation of this site, I requested an exchange (no problem) and I noticed a huge difference on the measured consumption device off (in a ratio of 1 to 150 between the new and old model), the problem seems solved. So he's not lose the date during a battery change!

This is the first portable memory card that I use, but I had a MiniDisc recorder before. The difference is significant in terms of quality, I am amazed by the realism of the reproduction of recorded sound.

Ease of use is almost perfect, except for two specific points:
- If we just turn on the device or to complete a recording, press once to start the recording, on the other hand, if there is a break after listening to a song, must press twice (the first pressure mode will play). This can be confusing and can sometimes interrupt immediately start recording because it has been pressed twice instead of one. A true stop button would have been preferable.
- When you're not listening to or recording a song, it could disrupt the recording quality with the keys forward / backward.

The price / quality ratio seems excellent. I would definitely recommend this unit, I do not regret this purchase.
