Preamp pedal size (similar to embedded low brand preamp). Connections: jack in / out, tuner out, XLR out di (I do've never used). 1 volume knob, one treble, one bass. 1 on / off switch to activate or deactivate the preamp, 1 mute.

UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration with an acute gain and low gain, as it is a boost frequency, the preamp is supposed to be transparent and faithfully reproduce the sound of the bass is pluggée. Not easy to realize as the sound is warm and thick. With passive is stunning, my roscoe beck sounds with more authority, I have a much better foundation in the bass and treble become crystalline if you push the knob trebble! The sound is buildé body! Personally I love. I use it with much happiness with my stingray (a lower volume of course).

SOUNDS

I constantly use (alternative rock style, hard rock, metal), the gain in terms of warmth and clarity (if you push the treble) is such that I'm due to go through an all-tube (j ' slight exaggeration). I think this thing would sound anything (I even plugged it the passive bass Cort Action bushel, and it sounded much better!). Brief very good stuff for my taste, I highly recommend anyone who wants to transform the passive quality fighter or improve its entry-level shovel.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for a little over a year, he is not ready to leave my pedalboard. It is the price of pedals quality (albeit expensive), but in this price range it is reasonable to expect a quality product, and this is indeed the case. This is a simple but effective product, no fuss, it sounds and it sounds beautiful!

I have the RSD model 1 is the same as this but with a headphone jack and a line in and more in a white box (made in korea). Black is manufactured in the United States.
at the back: mini switch on / off, a 9 volt AC power supply between a trap for two 9-volt batteries, one from a mono auxiliary (for example a drum machine), one between the 2 STREO (6.35 jack, you need adapter jack / cinch to connect a CD player, MP3 or other source), a tuner output, DI output 2, the other an XLR jack with a mini TRS Switch pre / post EQ. UTILIZATION

Could not be more simple, two buttons to boost bass and treble are interactive so it according as we use a hollow as the mediums. The sound is terrible and even a shovel in the sound machine.

SOUNDS

Sounds like a fat which is obtained by boosting the bass, however, marcus miller lovers get their money by pushing the treble. A precision as a jazz bass s'accomodent this box perfectly.

OVERALL OPINION

Compared with aguilar Fodera and it sounds like the aguilar meaning you always warm and clean while the Fodera sounds transparent and gives a little growl with all pots thoroughly.
if I had the choice again I would take probably a new model that is under review and is due out soon.

Then there is the Hallu!
there is a sound very quickly by playing both bass and treble knobs
not a breath and no sound .. a SON! very warm (more than I Fodera)
The bass is really transformed!

OVERALL OPINION

I have since bought on eBay qq days.
What I like is the sound of course. Hot, defined now. If you push the treble bottom is marcus: D .. With a good compressor as BSE is the best!
I also like bcp warmth and presence with my passive fretless. All adapted to the wood. If I compare to Fodera (which also sounds very strong) it is more neutral than the Sadowsky. With these high-end preamp (Sadosky and Fodera), I finally found the solution for my sounds even if I change low for violin better. I do not regret this purchase an instant magic!
