The effects are numerous: Preamp (compression, overdrive, distortion, flat, bright, presence, bass boost, noise gate speaker simulator), reverbs, delays (ping pong, stereo, multitap), chorus, flanger, phaser, chifter pitch, detune, leslie simulator, 3-band parametric equalizer, 5 band, 11 band graphic, panning, tremolo, ring modulator, tunable resonators, sampling (a few seconds ... booof!). An effects loop in order to add something else (?). Note that you can use the two devices as Quadraverb effects by using the effects loop. Ideal for coloring a guitar and voice differently for example ...
It has two inputs, two outputs. It can be used in mono or stereo (better). One in a MIDI Through out, two made and two footswitch for effects loop. It is rack mountable in 19 "

UTILIZATION

Good configuration quite simple and user manual in French is very clear. Editing sounds is easy. It is one of 90 preset programs and is fashioned in its discretion if it does not fit. After it is stored or where it was (it loses the program works, but you can retrieve it by pressing a key) in one of the memory locations of the 10 remaining users. it is enough if one is ordered in the settings and names of programs. In any case, the manual is very well done and explains everything from A to Z better than me.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are extremely transparent and very high level for a guitarist. The reverbs are beautiful with lots of settings (it's not a Lexicon anyway!) And everyone there is something for long enough that harmonious listening. The delays are numerous and very seldom find one who does not delay its scratching among them. The chorus, flanger, pitch, leslie ... are also very good and each has all the settings that you can imagine. The EQ is at the top you can do anything with. The ring modulator and resonator can bring a touch odd to your sounds. We must learn to use it. The preamp section is a good side compressor, overdrive, flat bright presence, bass boost and noise gate. HP simulators work very well. This is not a POD, but do not forget that the Quadraverb GT is an old tool. You can always use it now anyway.
The only weak point in my opinion, is the saturation that sound too metallic. It was much mieus since. A good old Boss and it's perfect ...

OVERALL OPINION

I have an excellent effect for 13 years. Coupled with a good tube preamp, it's wonderful. We forget the distos and is plugged into the effects loop of the preamp (JMP1 Marshall for me, but with a Sansamp, a Triaxis, an Ada or another, it also does) and you're done. In addition to the MIDI, you can do what you want by setting the quadratic as a slave of twelve o'clock preamp too. It can also serve as a device for recording and can be used for any effects other than the guitar.
This is a purchase that I regret in any way and I keep it though I buy more. Great value for money and a must for the guitarist. I bought if it is to be redone.
