UTILIZATION
The manual is a joke (a translates the gibberish goes quickly from an English trs approximate, even after the version japonaise.Une shame!) If you never touch an MPC, the interface could give you qqes concerns during the first weeks of use. However, all is still little that trs ergonomic slightly dgourdi. The edition of nanmoins samples remains fairly clumsy. As such it has prfrerea an external editor like SoundForge. Ditto for the Fast Fashion and instruments of keygroups multichantillonns: better to go through the software Akai (Aksys) plutt galrer that the notch of the MPC.
A bad point about the dimensions of the machine: the construction seems solid gnrale (steel frame) but the weight and size of the object rservent use in the studio. Too bad!
Finally, I do not understand why Akai does not offer "auto record" as the Z8: in this case, I have to manually save all of my samples from audio CD ... really weird and sacrment frustrating!
SOUNDS
Superior dynamic range (thank you on 24-bit) for warm and pure. No effects (reverbs mtalliques, alias distortion, compressor ... A SHAME inaudible !!!!).
In short, apart from the effects, it's all good, and it is also a pchu MPC 3K. I compared the sound with the MPC 3000 a friend and the verdict is clear: no diffrence in the patch, the "grain" or dynamics. In short, if the interface of the MPC 4000 does not put you off, there is no reason not to be tempted.
OVERALL OPINION
I use the MPC 4000 since June 2002. Bugs from the first OS disastrous for the most part t radiation and the machine is stable rvle trs use. There remain still some "shells" Aki has not deleted (what about the function Intellisample? What about the "note repeat" Bugge death? Why Is the groove quantize RALIS it more in real time?)
Apart from these points qqes, I can not overstate the power of this machine phnomnale a while that it may be sufficient even aisment (qd add even a good rack of effects and a prampli for voice). The MPC 4000 can paritre mail order some, but given the price of an MPC 3000 and a Z8, Whereas it is possible that this is an excellent qualitprix. In short, of all good!
