I bought this snare in December 2008 and I'm fully satisfied with it!
I like:
- the warm sound
- the huge attack, especially on rim shots (it sounds like a gunshot)!
- exceptional acoustic power (take care of your ears)
- three-position strainer that allows me to switch between fat and dry sounds depending on the music I play
- Beautiful custom finish
I also tried out a Starclassic Bubinga Omnitune 5.5 x 14 when I bought it.
