Alongside the Echoplex, Dunlop has unveiled several new products for 2014, which it will showcase at the NAMM starting today.

The EP101 Echoplex Preamp recreates the tone of the EP-3 used by the likes of Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen and Eric Johnson.

The True bypass preamp is equipped with a Field-effect Transistor (FET) just like the original '60s Echoplex and follows the exact same signal path as the EP-3. Operation couldn’t be easier with one single Gain control that allows you to boost the signal up to +11dB, providing a light overdrive at higher settings.

The Echoplex Preamp runs on a 9V battery.

  • Max Input Level: –5 dBV
  • Max Output Level: +5.5 dBV
  • Noise Floor: –95 dBV
  • Max Gain: +11 dBV
  • Input Impedance: 730 kΩ
  • Output Impedance: 55 kΩ

Pricing and availability haven’t been disclosed yet, but that should happen soon enough.
