SOUND QUALITY

I plug my guitar on this little preamp 'and often a microphone. For guitar and voice it gives a really cool very warm side. This will work a little his own ... I love her for everything acoustic instruments as the M-Audio DMP3 brings out the color I want out.

Although the sound is not properly reproduced, but that is precisely why any musician looking. For the micro is the same, here can give some really nice shades. It really brings color, it is not transparent, but I like that!
I compared it with other (Presonus Blue Tube, Behringer ultragain, Sansom C-Valve) but I think the heat and the sound of M-Audio DMP3 more beautiful.

UTILIZATION

Simple and yet complete. The low-cut filter and phase reverse are sometimes quite useful.
In contrast, the gain knobs are too vague because not graduated or notched. Consequence: when I have the sound with an instrument, I no longer touches the knob before making any decision of this instrument ...
A little less so, but overall it's very simple and very practical.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is excellent! For the record, it's perfect. It does not add to its particular color, but that's what I ask. It allows me to record all types of instruments / voices.
He embellishes the sound without distorting it. Much better than any preamp with a mixer.
Maybe a little blow when you push the gain, but nothing that is really annoying, even taken for definitive album.

OVERALL OPINION

For the price it is excellent!
I used the preamp until a small table Beringher 4 tracks (as can be done ...), but I could not get a "real" sound, with all the dynamics and precision that I wanted. It took me try this preamp for what was missing.
I tested it with a studio microphone Beringher B2 and guitar Gibson Les Paul. In both cases, the rendering was both faithful to the source both beautified.

SOUND QUALITY

to set you about my experience, I used for 1 year and half allesis IO interface 2 and a mixing desk Berhinger, so honest, not the top level preamp (or indeed by the way). I recently bought a motu 828, and with this little preamp, there is no picture, sound really have nothing to do.

I was looking for a simple preamp, but really easy! This is not my only preamp, and I already usually all I need. Basically I was just looking to fill a little lack of saving my sound card (Focusrite Saffire) for my guitar and a mic (MXL 770).

Exellent! If the goal is just to get the gain without his breath, exactly what you need. No staining ... dison if not imperceptible minimum.

It's been two days that I use it, if something loose I will point out, for now everything is perfect. I think we should just stay consient to buy it. It's a preamp that you arm and you said wow, I rediscovered my microphone. You will get the gain you need, and voila.
