Squier Strat
Published on 11/28/04 at 15:00Bought this guitar with a Squier SP-10 amp.
It included a strap, lead, plectrum, tuner and tuition material. Cost me £150.
The guitar itself isn't bad for the price and is perfect for a beginner.
Tone knobs don't do too much to the sound. The amp is hurrendous! Turn it on to distortion and you get a growl when you pluck more than one string at a time. It plays sweet chold o' mine quite welll though.
The knobs on the guitar feel like they're gonna fall off. The amp is very poorly constructed.
A great guitar for beginners but after a couple of months when you're sure you wanna carry on with guitar-GET A NEW AMP! The guitar will last you a last you a little longer.

Published on 10/08/04 at 15:00I stole this guitar from a friend, well, i didn't really steal it and he wasn't really my friend.
This guitar is good to practice on. It doesn't sound great, and it doesn't always sound but it still works.
It is a cheaply made guitar.
Cheap components, durable body, and not too bad looking.
A good beginners guitar, but not for long.

Published on 10/20/02 at 15:00I purchased the guitar from a catalogue(Index)around six months ago.It came with a ten watt amp for £229.99.Now I think to myself why?,but then again it was my first guitar and at the time I didn't care what it sounded like or what make it was, as long as I had a guitar.(I'm sure you've all been there!)
Well..erm....It has nice clean tone, usually stays in tune fairly well and the neck is fairly comfortable. Also,it's not the worst looking guitar i've seen
This list is unfortunatly quite long, where do i begin.Well as a beginner this guitar seems to be a fairly decent .....until you actually have the chance to try guitars that are fairly decent and you realise this isn't.As a Korn fan this …Read moreI purchased the guitar from a catalogue(Index)around six months ago.It came with a ten watt amp for £229.99.Now I think to myself why?,but then again it was my first guitar and at the time I didn't care what it sounded like or what make it was, as long as I had a guitar.(I'm sure you've all been there!)

This list is unfortunatly quite long, where do i begin.Well as a beginner this guitar seems to be a fairly decent .....until you actually have the chance to try guitars that are fairly decent and you realise this isn't.As a Korn fan this guitar just doesn't suit my taste at all(Thank goodness i got an Ibanez 7-String).For one:the pickups are completely useless,I suggest you don't even try to palm mute with distortion on this guitar
Two:It Lacks alot of sutain
And Three:I've heard stories of people who tried opening these things up,I haven't tried yet but supposedly the inside of them is totally messed up with loose wires and the such so.....doesn't appear to be well made.
As i said the inside of them is messed up so you can tell they are definetly not well made.Even though i've never needed it fixed(I Wouldn't Waste The Time Or The Money!),it has lots of little hitches ie:cutting out for no reason, pickup switches are flimsy, cuts out if you turn the volume knob higher than nine.
Oh well it sounds terrible and it is,But,bottom line is it's cheap,Badly made and isn't a proffesional guitar. But if you havent heard any better it doesn't sound so bad.Trust me though,You'll regret buying it in time!!

Published on 12/18/01 at 15:00I bought this guitar at Mars music. I got it because i wanted an electric and only had an acoustic. I paid about $300 for a pack that came with an 15 watt amp, guitar, gig bag, strings, picks, video, and strap.
It's not too expensive.i also like that it sounds decent for the price.
There is a lot of faults with this guitar though. One is it the indides fall apart. I have to keep ajusting crap. have to tune it like 8 times in a row. Scratches very easily. Doesnt have a lot of power. And just isnt a good guitar after you have about 9 months experience playing guitar.
Cheapliy made and not put together real well.

It's not a great guitar. After this i would move up to maybe a mexican fat strat. but it is good for newbies.
