Manufactured in: Mexico but my dealer from scratch prfr me fomellement affirmed that the parts and even the wood came from asia

properly handle and very well finished
    comfortable body.
mcaniques of quality and very low-end bridge!
    microphones, three single without heat!
The price asked is too lev without the Fender logo it would be 250 euros break everything!

Good round, we play without problem but the original pickups empchent play anything!

    SONORITS

If you are looking for the crystal grain fender go your way. The spectrum is invaded by screaming mids, bass have no me.
Zero, the Mexican standard is to forget. Better to turn to the Blade for that price.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

Basically, you have the Fender logo and as a fender but nothing more. Any copying it done as well, especially the nut and vibrato are forgotten because if acute and mid systematically break.
A product marketing, freelance fool as often in the low-end fender!
I prefer my jet lag and custom set of alnico micro and my blade Abilene (but the price of this Last makes it inaccessible).
If you plan to buy from Cygnus, beware the woods used are very cheap ...

I did not aquire this unit, and wouldn't accept it if it was given to me. Well, I guess I could sell it to someone of limited mental capacity for an exhorbitant price.

Not much. It has the standard feel of a Fender which is good (but it's just as good on a Squier Affinity). It has the vintage look of a Fender which is good (Affinity). It has the Fender name on it. Oooooh. Aaaaaaah. Yeah right. It will take a beating which is what I wanted to give it.

What's there to like? It's a piece of trash. I was thinking of upgrading from my Greg Bennett series Formula 2, but this thing was like ten giant leaps backwords.

It's made of Alder and Maple which is great, but It's got vintage tuning keys (pre-F type). It's got a single pivot tremolo. Those two factors together mean horrid tuning stability. I dive bombed several of these things one time and they all went way out of tune, and the pickups sounded like chickens clucking. I actually liked the sound of all of the Squiers better.

If you're just determined to get this guitar, go ahead and waste your money, but you can get the same guitar with a little warmer sound out of the Squier Affinity. If you want a good Fender guitar, go with the Squier Standard or the Fender American series. With both those lines you get better tuning keys and a two point fulcrum tremolo. The American line has better sound than the Squier standard by a long shot, but the Squier sounds good, and for those wondering, I tried the limited finish alder bodied standards right next to the normal agathis bodies and got the exact same sound except for the maple neck models in the normal ones. It had about twice the output, but had a little harder feel and wasn't quite as warm. Maple necks normally feel sticky until you break them in, but this had a smooth feel to it. Have fun.

I've wanted a true (brand new) Fender Strat for the last 25 years or so. I have owned a couple of copies and a couple of older mismatched Strats, along with other makes and styles over the years. I finally picked up my Dream guitar a couple of months ago, for $300. YOU DON'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

In the beginning! The name, looks and Playability.

EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!! coming out of Fenders Mexico Facility.

I inspected the Guitar as thoroughly as I thought I could when purchased. But when I got home (with better lighting)I soon found dull spots and scrathes on the neck, orange peel of the paint, along with other finish faults that should have been addressed befo…

I inspected the Guitar as thoroughly as I thought I could when purchased. But when I got home (with better lighting)I soon found dull spots and scrathes on the neck, orange peel of the paint, along with other finish faults that should have been addressed before ever leaving the plant. I returned the guitar and a replacement was ordered. A week later, I opened the box containing a Brand New Guitar, directly from the factory and found absolute garbage. With chips, scrathes, unknown black marks on the neck that looked to be under the topcoat.I chose to keep the original, after seeing that. Unfortunately the time for a refund had expired.

Bottom line is this! If you must have a Fender and can't afford an American, buy a Squier! Half the price (or less) than a Mexican made. But a far better fit and finish, or even a $100 copy. This is the last thing I'll ever own with the name Fender.

I bought the Strat my second electric. I had an okay experience with Fenders in the past but this ruined it. I paid around $350, not being able to afford the American.

There isn't a lot to like. The neck is probably the only decent part. The body weight is okay.

For starters, the TREM SUCKS. That is really my biggest, and only complaint. After adding 2 more trem springs it still goes out of tune every 3 miuntes. I retune and retune but there is no point. For about $200, I bought a Schecter 006 Elite. One of the best guitar I have ever played. Get a cheap Schecter instead!

    It was overall, constructed okay.

NEEDs A TREM. If you get rid of the crappy trem and replace it, or add a…

Fender Standard Stratocaster [1990-2005]Published on 09/05/11 at 01:28
The second guitar that I ever owned.

    Features:
    Alder body
    maple neck 21 frets
    rosewood board
    Medium jumbo frets
    modern C shape neck profile
    vintage style trem
    poly urethane finish
    midnight wine

3 single coil mexican fender pickups
1 master volume with 2 tones and a 5 way switch

    UTILIZATION

This is a standard strat, it's hard to describe specifically because it's so well known already by everybody. The strat has been around the longest was it was one of the first electric guitars to be invented!!

Compared to the telecaster, yes I'd say it's ergonomically improved, with body contours and forearm contours. The pickups suck, are generic sounding, lifeless and of…

    UTILIZATION

This is a standard strat, it's hard to describe specifically because it's so well known already by everybody. The strat has been around the longest was it was one of the first electric guitars to be invented!!

Compared to the telecaster, yes I'd say it's ergonomically improved, with body contours and forearm contours. The pickups suck, are generic sounding, lifeless and of course, super noisy. Just like it used to be way back when.

Upper fret access is a bit of a problem, a little bit tough, not as difficult as a tele, but still quite a bit since it's very blocky.

    SOUNDS

Sounds? Depends. If you're setup for mainly clean and jazzy blues stuff yet also setup to reduce the 60 cycle hum, then you're golden. Otherwise you're in for quite a bit of modding from the start which can be quite frustrating for beginners or those who don't do a lot of mods or have such experience.

So as stock I'd have to say it's not a versatile guitar. It's sort of like you're paying a base price for the name and the strat body but the sound part itself is designed so that you'd have to buy aftermarket stuff to get it working for you. Which sucks for most players. Some players who like to build their own, or DIY stuff etc it's fine but most players just wanna plug in and play, I'm sure they do. And a guitar like this tricks beginners into thinking they're gonna sound great, then as soon as they plug in they think that all that noise is normal!!

It's not normal and it's not your fault!! it's fender's fault for making you compromise! nowadays there are tons of guitars in the same price range, either well known or not, that sound much better from the box without needing to do any surgery!

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall it was my 2nd guitar that I ever owned as I was told that fender was the best. They are not. They are well known, yes but they aren't the best. Neither is this piece. It's average at best and requires one to change the pickups or have a rig setup to stop from being too noisy. 60 cycle hum is everywhere! The guitar itself sound-wise is not versatile from the start and this is why I've given it such a bad review. As I said before, for the beginner, it tricks the player who doesn't know anything about hum etc into thinking that it's normal and then they go on for god knows how long until finally realizing their guitar pickups in their strat are complete crap! It's embarrassing, humiliating and doesn't need to be this way!

I know, i was one of these victims during my first 2 years of playing and learning guitar!
