Hardtail bridge
Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, type Stratocaster.
A single microphone: a humbucker Duncan Design Detonator (poor cousin of Seymour Duncan Invader HS8) in the bridge position.
One knob (volume), no switch (why?).

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice for Fender enthusiasts, supports many strings "chewing gum" without curling (09/42 for me), do not saw the fingers.

Ergonomics quite comparable to a real Strat (before I made in USA Stratocaster 70s, I was unfortunately stolen).

A sound easily obtained, we like or dislike. The versatility is not his strong point.

SOUNDS

On this point there is to say. I bought it on a whim because I wanted a strat and a very limited budget. So I tried a small raft in Music Royez (Paris XII), and the sellers are pretty cool and good advice.
I stopped my choice on Tom Delonge because of its design (all black) and playability
I was not convinced by the sound, but I think after all, Guitar Rig worked miracles ...

My calculation does not reveal so right. After a few years of use, I was embarrassed by the poverty of the poor sound generated by isolated humbucker, and various effects and filters do not change much.
Then I used more often my other guitar, an Ibanez Artist although pleasant month but its definitely more convincing, both in clean overdrive.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had it about eight years and I recently cracked. With the help of a luthier friend, I decided to transform.
Duncan out the design, replaced by two humbuckers Epiphone secondhand (I know, a strange combination, but the result is), adding switches and knobs. It was not an easy task, because it took the body to scoop the router in order to accommodate the second microphone and wiring that goes with it.
But I'm glad (neighbors, less), and I can now envisage any type of sound with the warmth and fullness desired, while delighting me the key Fender-like.
Modif m 'cost € 60 (including equipment).
So to this day, I defeated the Ibanez and can make me happy on a beautiful guitar that will have cost me a few euros and a few hours.

Still, this is not a real Fender U.S. who will never have the quality violin, its stability or sustain a tuning ...

OVERALL OPINION

+ Points: trs good sound for fans of punk and mtal, weight, violin
points -: no vibrato knob and tonalitbr /> trs good price quality ratio is high Loa PP

UTILIZATION

Super handle fairly round, easy access to acute except for the last two frets are on the edge of playable.
Guitar lightweight, simple design but effective.
The micro Duncan Designed done a good job, especially for large distortions! This scratching can easily measure a guitar worth twice that!

SOUNDS

C distortion in truly effective, the hardrock, punk, crunch.
To the sound is less clear but it's not a guitar made for!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years and I do not see why I separated!
