A multi-directional super.

This headphone compresses a little for my taste.

Its sound is really good, very surprising, given its price (compared to a Sony 7509, it holds up, even though the Sony is much better for me) a certain finesse in the treble, good midrange, but compressed a little too serious for my taste, so
Hard to mix these frequencies on the other hand ideal for listening mastering ...

Another good thing, which we never think, is that it moves really well on small heads ... Let me explain, every time I recorded the singers before, I was spinning their headphones that did not over their heads, still too big ... Sennheiser suitable for all the heads ... (I know it sounds silly but it is actually not that much)

Pan well respected, much less good than the 7509 but frankly much better than elsewhere (Beyer or AKG)

Otherwise, I do not agree with the previous opinion on a lot of bad things (but it's a matter of taste):

Weight: no it is not too heavy, and frankly for making taken for days and days, it is very nice, it isolates you completely from the rest of the world's great ...

The look ... You will have the air con with any headphone on the head for recording ... you really work the headphone to look like the end??

I find it extremely comfortable (more than 7509 and yet I love more than the 240 I do not like ...)

The best value possible. I absolutely love these headphones, however I will go and buy another (on e-bay you'll find it at bargain prices ...)

I confirm that passive insulation is very good, no music sounds are attenuated, but much less active as well as insulation on the latest BOSE.

To bounce off some of the comments, the music is faithfully reproduced, the sound is very clear, detailed highs, middles, however the set back from the sound of my HIFI. The bass are very good against contrary to what I read. I do not use a studio, but after listening to Cujo - Adventures in foam (very good first album by Amon Tobin), which makes extensive use of infra low, they are very well reproduced, near a large HIFI quality.

As an amateur of music (but required) this headphone perfectly meets my expectations:
1. I am isolated from my colleagues in open space
2. My colleagues do not understand what I listen to
3. The music reproduction is faithful
4. The headset is comfortable
5. The coiled cable is convenient
6. The size is right for transport
7. Value for money good or very good

I use it for about 4 hours and first impressions are downright excellent.

I had a Sennheiser HD200, which is a very good headphone, but that does not suit me for the components they tps (learning mastering tjr is better to have a studio headphones DJ plustôt a headphone ...)

In 4 hours you do not speak of experience, but it is quickly notice and this notice is very positive, so yes I do it again this election easily. I will even recommend it to relatives who are looking for headphones.

I've been using the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro studio headphones for three or four years. I found these headphones to be useful in a number of different situations. It is great for simply listening to on when recording, but I have also found it useful to A/B mixes to see if they sound good on listening devices other than my studio monitors. They portray an accurate picture of the audio you are playing, although they seem to have a huge low end presence for headphones. They also works great for just simply listening to music on the go. The headphones are built well and won't break easily if you treat them right. The cans are big and will fit just about anyones head with the adjustable top. I would compare these headphones to a pair of Sony MDR-V500DJ studio monitors, as they are a similar price and are made at a similar quality. While they are both great sounding headphones, I like the HD 280 Pros best because they are extremely full sounding and cover a great deal of low end response for a pair of headphones. It is crisp and clear across the frequency spectrum and has an impressive overall response for such a small set of speakers. I have grown to love the products that Sennheiser makes, from headphones like these to the high quality microphones they make. I trust them to make good products at a good price, and this pair of headphones is a prime example. The price is beyond reasonable and has actually been coming down in price for a little while. I can't say enough about how impressive these headphones are for such a cheap price. I would recommend these to anyone who needs studio headphones for any type of use at all, as they are a great for any type of overall listening use.
