OVERALL OPINION

This is a guitar effects pedals or keyboard player.

Simply connect a guitar or keyboard in the pedals and put the pipe in mouth, to play your notes and talk to the talk box.

This is a PDAL who needs an external amplification, the structure of the pedals is solid trs.

Be careful not to put too much power or you'll burn the woofer located in, I had exprience.

This is the talk box Roger Troutman and Zapp that use!

UTILIZATION

As I have said is very simple! But the problem is that it can not be used alone like this!
When the talk box is activated, the sound comes over the loudspeaker, but the talk box tube through which the far east in the mouth! So I put 6 / 10 due to AC Manir gnrale personal but I have what it takes and so I have no problem to use the talk box!

It rpond exactly my expectations.
My guitar with my marshall with distortion really makes standard! The effect is stunning!!

However it is true that fo time to adapt: ​​to dpart trs is not comfortable because when you have the tube in the mouth can no longer look at his fretboard! And even if it seems never to watch and we know trs play well even with closed eyes, I promise to dpart it's weird!

Any way I always have an RV talk box! So the 10/10

It's been about 2 years now I have one.
I am completely satisfied even if it is true that it is not a more practical effect of a small compartment any pedals! But really it is happiness guaranteed!
If you like the sound that comes from a talk box and you have always wanted to have one, you will not I can assure you!!

At the price, I do not really know because it's a girlfriend who gave it to me but it's worth more than 2000 bullets!
And yes it is a fact that we use from time to time so it is an addition even if a bit dirty (especially fo add a microphone, his foot and sound !!!!! )

But in any case I'll buy a one day or another! It's really extra!

This is a talk box. It works by connecting between an amplifier and a cabinet. It essentially is a speaker - powered by a horn - that is connected to a vinyl tube. Insert the tube in your mouth, play some overdriven/distorted guitar, move your lips and throat as if you were forming words and voila! Instant talking guitar.

The talkbox is connected after the amplifier with a 1/4" speaker cable, and connects before the cabinet with another 1/4" speaker cable. It has a switch to either engage or bypass the talkbox. With the talkbox engaged, the speaker cabinet is disabled.

I can't think of any features I would want added for such an effect.

UTILIZATION

It's very easy. The manual offers a little bit of advice and some warnings on how to properly use the talkbox, but for the most part, it's really about experimentation. Just avoid amplifiers that are too powerful or set too loudly and you should be fine.

SOUND QUALITY

This is generally a guitar effect, but it could technically be used with an electrified instrument.

It's fun to do all the Pete Frampton/Alice in Chains stuff with it, or write your own songs that use the talkbox effect.

If you plan on recording with it, a pop filter between before the microphone is a must.

OVERALL OPINION

I think it's a good value for the money. In the nearly ten years I've owned one I only ever had it go down once because the horn blew. It's not a very expensive nor difficult repair, and is probably inevitable with this type of equipment.

If you're looking for a talkbox, and by that I mean a real talkbox, look no further than this one. You're much better off with the real-deal over a talkbox emulator. Not only does it look cooler, but it sounds so much better.

If the vinyl tube it come with gets dirty, replacements can be picked up from Home Depot for relatively cheap money.
