Basically it's a Telecaster. One difference: the strings are not traversing.

UTILIZATION

I needed a small guitar to make rehearsals without fear of damaging it and then I always wanted a Telecaster. A ride on the classifieds and hop a Telecaster for cheap.

Well, obviously I'm not expecting a great guitar. But nay!

The neck is thin, soft, frets are good, the guitar is not too heavy but it does not cardboard guitar ... far from it.

Mechanical hold well, you can get a fairly low action without frisouille. It is rustic, solid, well made.

However the varnish is a bit shaky but nothing catastophique either.

A small fault anyway, the base plate of jack is plastic and plastic ... it breaks above the place where it is on a Tele ... but for 5 € at my luthier or 2 € on Thotho with a metal plate that can overcome that little problem.

SOUNDS

I play lots of different styles (variety, rock, metal ...) and the guitar fits very well. Obviously for my Gibson SG metal is much better for funk and nothing beats a good Strato.

But otherwise it is perfect! a true Tele! and has the twang
and sustain despite the fact that the strings are not therethrough.

I play on tube amps (Mesa, Vox AC15, Blackstar HT1-R) and it sounds great. However, there should be to raise the neck pickup is a little low origin. But nothing could be easier. It dismantles the pickguard and placed a piece of cardboard under the micro and presto!

After that, if we had to do something I will change the pickups (like Nocaster or texas special), but for now they fit me very well, they do the job!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for nearly 6 months and I take a lot of fun to play with! this is a really good price / quality (especially Cygnus). She did not blush at all next to my Gibson SG (an admittedly faded ... but still) and my Fender strat mex. On a tube amp it sounds great.

If necessary I do it again this choice without hesitation.

After it's true that I save to make me a little Baja ....

The price was 180 US dollars , which is reasonable since it's issued by Fender . In terms of quality , you do get more than what you payed .

Well , the first thing that strikes you when you turn on the amp is the similarity on the sound. You can hear that Fender-quality ring when you first start playing. In terms of quality, this is a mean-old brick that doesn't like to be broken. I've dropped it on wooden floors, smashed it on tables, and all that is left is a few paint chips here and there ...

The guitar does look slightly cheap. The pots and the pickup selector looks like something from a scrapyard, but it works well, and that's what counts.
I not a particular fan of the tuners either. If you bend the top strings for the high notes, the strings seem to loosen itself, which is bad news if you're in the middle of your gig.

Hard and solid. That's all I can say.

Brilliant guitar. Who said it's for beginners? It's cheap, but it's not a piece of junk. To me, it's a respectful imitation of Fender where it deserves more credit than it currently has.
If you're looking for a Telecaster, this is the closest to the real thing.
Although it's only less than 200 bucks, atleast it's got the 'Fender' name on the headstock...

It was sitting on a rack at the local music store, I already have an old 78 USA Tele and was curious to hear what this was like. It was bought at Trevor Davis music in Leominster England for £149. I just started playing it and it sounded really good so I bought it!

It is a nicelightweight guitar with great sound, it is also nicely made and finished, it is ideal for songwriting with and just for playing, the action is also superb, making it an ideal first or learners guitar, the price is also good allowing a learner to get a good quality guitar if they are on a budget.

doesn't have strings through body like on my old Tele but that could be rectified with a retro fitted bridge. Some hardware might be worth upgrading if you so desire but the standard equipment is good enough.

In a word superb, it is a guitar that is probaly underestimated because of it's budget price tag.

I have refinished and repaired many big name guitars over the last 20 years as a hobby, with this knowledge, I think this is superb.

I wish when I started playing electric guitars that I had been able to get my hands on this one. I am astounded by the build quality and the playability in this superb guitar. It is just another example of the great guitars now coming out of Asia. I love this guitar!

Purchased online from MusiciansFriend.com for my birthday. Paid $170

Just about everything. This is a special model that was created for the 2003 Summer season so it has the butterscotch finish with a black pickguard. The neck is maple and so is the fretboard(nice and fast). It comes with basic tuners that are nothing to write home about.

The only issues I've discovered so far are a tendency for a string to buzz every now and then, but that buzzing does not carry over to the amp. The tune of the guitar goes bad if I use my capo between the frets, but that is because I have a high tension capo. I've discovered if I clap almost directly on the fret, I can avoid going out of tune.

The construction is rather solid for it being a bottom-of-the-line guitar. It is not as heavy as a standard tele, but I find it heavy enough. It has a good feel.

This is an excellent guitar for the money. Great for beginners or those with limited funds. You really don't sacrifice sound for this great deal!

I purchased my Telecaster at Link's Music Store in Hanau, Germany. I got a great deal on it. I paid 178 Euros, which with the exchange rate made it $211.00. But he also accepts a VAT form. So it ended up being about $180.00. I bought it because I always wanted a Telecaster. I am just a hobby player and don't really feel like you need a $1000.00+ guitar to have fun and sound good. Fenders are Great! But if your a hobby player like myself you may want to stick to the Squier models. They are also great guitars.

It looks GREAT! And sounds incredible. I play mine through a Squire Amp I got with a Strat Pack. It was already set up and ready to play when I got it. Intonation, String height, and even tuned. I love it. I got it in Blonde. A traditional Telecaster color. It is definitely a keeper.

If I have to pick something I don't like I would have to say the Pickguard. It looks like it is a three piece. But you have to look very hard to see it.

As with my Squier Strat the construction and quality of my Squier Telecaster is incredible for any price range. I have owned and played guitars that cost over $700.00 and I think I like the way my Squiers play better than them all. Expensive guitars have their place. They are for musicians who make a living with their instruments. If you are looking to make a career with your music save up and buy an original. But if your best audience is yourself and your friends and family, you can't go wrong with a Squier.

The bottom line is whether you are just starting or have been playing for years a Squier is a great place to find your love for music. At such a great price I plan to expand my collection of Squiers with a Fat Strat or a Showmaster.

I acquired this guitar in in 1998 form Acadamy of sound in Stock-on-Trent.I paid £115 for my tele and glad i did.I brought the guitar because it looks good and i can't afford the real thing.

I like the guitar because of the sound, Its looks and feel.The guitar is butterscotch in color and cad customised with a fender sticker.I play my guitar through a princeton 112 plus and it sounds grate.You can play Hevy metal,rock,punk and country on it and it suits all styles.

Afer about four years the nut and saddles can start to where but if you dont do much blues bends you shoud not have a problem.

The construction fo the guitar is exelant for its price and would have another anyday.

The Squier telecaster is a good guitar for anyone at any standerd if your just starting to play or if your as good as Hendrix.This is a "guitarists guitar".

UTILIZATION

The neck is super nice and suits me perfectly, I tried the Mexican series and the difference is minimal, lergonomie is the same for American series in a little less well finished so I do not complain.

Is getting good sound is easy, you know a jack plug, put the volume, set a tone and how it uses micro? Everything works as hell.

SOUNDS

Quite simply everyone has a fetish Gratt and I have found mine, so it suits me for the sound! I play with a FERDER FM 65 R 2 together and walk nickel, and also a DS-1 pedal. I've had 1moi and a half of thunder and it works. I tried quite a model, I needed a model and the tele Gammla price there is no mass (220 €). I find the money RAPORT very acceptable for a budget. I do it again this choice indegniablement ... unless I had more good tune for sure probably an American series.

UTILIZATION
