UTILIZATION

This is a boss pedal, it will not get lost! a spleen, a depth, for calibrating the effect in terms of speed and depth, and a knob that selects the last waveform between sine or square. The result may be more or less sweet. Missing volume in my opinion, this type of effect giving the impression of a loss of momentum, a little boost is not unwelcome.

SOUND QUALITY

I find it very straight, compared to having a EHX pulsar example. This is not necessarily a disadvantage. Touching with the settings you can find a sweet vintage character and therefore (in most minds, at least), but it is very straight, cold. It is perfect for playing the kind of intros great songs known green day. After this is an effect that I use sparingly, and generally to make noise, so its modern style suits me well! Still lacks a volume in my opinion.

OVERALL OPINION

I tried his colleague at behringer, even if the price is not the same, the sound is close. His strength is his strength. And it does the job. This is a very good tremolo stage we'll say. In the studio I prefer it a vintage tremolo and sweet (although it depends on the style). It is expensive for what it is anyway (I mean in nine), but it is a kind of reference!

UTILIZATION

I love boss pedals they're always plainly laid out and thus simple to use. No tricks or gimmicks, it's exactly how you see it and nothing else.

SOUND QUALITY

The tremolo effect itself is good. The rate and depth are very useful and can go from extremely fast to extremely slow like it's supposed to. The depth is sort of like a mix knob where the intensity of the tremolo can slam your guitar signal making it a very strong effect or not.

The pedal itself isn't true bypass so there's some tonal change when hooked up so for the tone purists you may need to mod it or get a true bypass looper etc. Otherwise the effect itself is quite simple and you can do nearly anything with it. I use it out in front with a distortion pedal however so the signal is still quite clear, but you might want to experiment with it in the loop and such if you're using amp distortion. Again this is completely subjective on how you use it, there is no right or wrong way. It's whatever you think sounds good.

Tremolo for me is hard to judge because it's literally taking the original guitar signal and kinda 'panning' almost back and forth. Not so much adding to the sound or taking away from anything. But I have definitely seen the TR-2 on a lot of pedal boards so there must be something good about these, they must definitely do the trick!

OVERALL OPINION

I love the simplicity of a boss pedal like this one. It's labelled as a tremolo and has 3 knobs, and it does exactly that. There's no fuss, no muss. No extra switches to do extra stuff or mini toggles that add whatever to whatever etc etc. It's a simple plug and play effect and it sounds great. Of course you have to bend down to adjust it, which is a bit of a pain for live use. Nowadays there are many other tremolo pedals out there with loads of different features, you just have to figure out what you want in a tremolo pedal. If you just want the simplest out there,at a good price, this is the one to look for.

SOUND QUALITY

The main complaint is the small change in sound. Indeed has less to put back the sound is almost trs few modules, even the background is not trs tremolo depth. Level speed for a good tremolo simple. A PDAL simpas to dig a little his sound; maintenat in a register of rock thrust effect (such as garbage or radiohead) the pedals is insufficient.

UTILIZATION

Usual settings for this type of effect: rate (speed), depth (depth) and wave (setting allows precise enough in terms of the waveform).

It could not be simpler. The knobs are effective, your ears do the rest.

SOUND QUALITY

A tremolo is a simple fact.

I do not see how one could create a "bad" tremolo ... unless the pots are hyper rotten, the signal color, the background noise and the big plastic box ... This is absolutely not the case for the Boss TR-2.

The sound it produces is soft and will do to give a report to your vintage chords and arpeggios.

I read that the pedal did not sound the same as it is plugged into the effect loop or between the guitar and the amp. I took the test and I have nothing found. I have an effect on my balance effect loop and if one puts his dry up the effect is exactly the same as if the pedal between the guitar and the amp. If you do not have this setting, perhaps by default as the balance is not up, in which case you will always have your dry signal at the same time, thereby reducing the dynamics of the Tremolo.

I also saw that some were talking about a drop in volume when the effect started. This is to verify, but it seems normal that the effect gives the impression of a lower volume since the wave is softened, and with a high rate, I assume that an average ear .
