UTILIZATION

Yes config very simple, there's a button to adjust.

SOUNDS

Then the knob set to noon, it crunch nicely.
The thing I have against it is the "boxy" sound stale.
Apparently this amp is often triturated by his masters (HP change, lamps, the transformer, connection to a speaker etc), I personally have not tried it yet.
To play at home, it's nickel, 5 watts is sufficient especially if z'êtes apartment.
As a group, I came out of the mix! Not as much as 15Watts, but it still looked good!
It is cheap and it is a very good quality / price ratio.
The clean sound is slamming, not acid. (Unlike dairy).
With a distortion contiguous, on the other hand, I am less convinced by the report.
Other effects (chorus, flanger, delay) no worries.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had at least 3 years, I practice on at home, mostly in the clear.
I read the reviews before buying (new) and have not tried other brands (vox et al.)
Which is significant (or damaging it depends) is plug and play, plug it adjusts the volume and the music!
Drawback is that the sound may seem too rich medium and little bass.
Cheap (50 € in OCCAZ) Tie excessive (there to see the topics of the forum), a nice face, it is a good tool, I intend to keep it as it is endearing j ' already had a brand lamps (50watts Engl) and I needed a smaller amp and affordable, this junior Valve fulfills its mission. Good at all.

Good production, very solid. 8 / 10 because for the price I do not see where we can quibble over it more simple it works!

UTILIZATION

Like all tube amps, it takes a while to heat up, the sound is not there right away: about 30 seconds. But I noticed that after an hour of repeated 'I have to turn down the volume. Because yes! This amp with its tiny 5 watts is able to follow a drummer! It really surprised me, I did not think to use it by repeating 'but it's possible. With bass, drums, another one quitar and I plugged into the Valve Junior volume with 2 hours is more than enough!
Up to three quarters of the race of the volume knob is increased, then in the last quarter we increase the crunch, but we do not win much in volume. At the former I tell you! And so as the good old days it was also a good old blast especially if the pedals are aligned, because as we only have a sound, if you want the disto ... I mostly use my Big Muff pedal combined with various other distortion and therefore a lot of breath, I'll see what happens with a noise reducer.
Before I used a VOX Cambridge 15 watts (12AX7 tube in preamp hybrid) that I love. I tried to play in stereo with 2 and it's very simpa, but at low volume by pushing the volume because I no longer heard the VOX, huhuhu!

SOUNDS

I Start a branch highway (or lapsteel HB) and no sound effects is very good, good bass and treble not screaming, good balance. The amp volume with its unique, complies with the different positions of my micro scratches. Beautiful clear sound. I have this amp for 2 months and I rediscovered my guitar! But that does not mean that this amp has no personality. You can play alone at home, but it's a tube amp and we want to ford up to the sound cruncher, and there the neighbors also benefit. When the volume goes up and if the amp is near the very start SPEED Feedback, especially with effects pedals, if their part to boost the signal, so do not push the settings. Anyway I love the feedback ... and push the settings. My style ... no style! Everything that goes through my head so a simple amp like this one that I use with different pedals suits me perfectly, especially life easier.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been 2 months so I use it, and really for the price, 145 € chez Thomann (it increased I know) nothing to say. Can be a tone knob would be welcome but hey. I also tried the Ibanez Valbee and despite its settings (volume, gain, 3-band EQ + presence and boost switch) it does not really convinced me, too cold, disto "Bzzzz" and especially the power of 5 announced watts is ridiculous compared to the epiphone. Have what's there to use it for group play for the money? I recommend it to everyone. 8 / 10 for value for money, and no more problems for the blast but prices blah blah blah ...

UTILIZATION

It's a very simple amplifier with only a single volume control. So changing the sound depends a great deal on what you're putting into it. That said the tone of the amp does change quite drastically depending on where the volume knob is set.

The best thing about this amplifier is that it's a great for modifying and that's where it becomes a great amp. When I bought this amp it had already been modified to have 8 and 16 ohm outputs using a different output transformer, a gain switch which is done by bypassing a resistor and a tweed tone control. I have since modified the amp further myself adding a switch to switch between triode and pentode modes of the power tube. This modification allows you to drop the output by around half which allows you to crank the amp to cause it to "break up" without it being too loud.

SOUNDS

I use this amp with a Squier Duo-Sonic guitar and a Electro Harmonix Big Muff effects pedal. Clean tones is not where this amp really shines, if you're looking for chiming cleans then a Fender Champion 600 would probably better choice for a small valve amp. When distorted this amplifier can sound great, I like setting the amplifier to a clean tone at around a quarter volume and then using the Big Muff to push the amp into overdrive by setting the volume at full and the sustain at zero, this is my favorite rhythm guitar tone using this set up. The amp also sounds great when it's set to a slightly distorted tone and then with the Big Muff set as a fuzz by pushing the sustain to near full and then just getting the volume to unity.

OVERALL OPINION

My favorite thing about this amp is it's simplicity to modify to open up it's possibilities for use, even the simplest modifications such as a tone knob allow the amp to be much more versatile and useable in more situations. Another thing I like about this amp is how it reacts to the different overdrive and distortion pedals that I've used with it.

I personally think that this amp is quite limited when left stock as without the triode/pentode mod getting distorted tones out of the amp will mean quite a high amount of volume which I expect would be too loud for people to use at home for practice.
