I dug up the fender to a market of German musicians in Switzerland this weekend. It's an old amp that I do not know and who seems relatively unknown. The first tests with a few guitars are now gone.

The amp has two channels, a "simple", which means it is not connected to the reverb unit as well as tremolo. However, this channel has a two position switch "bright and normal." We find the traditional controls for channel volume A fender, a knob bass, a mid, a treble. The second channel also has the switch "bright", the same controls, plus a knob for adjusting the amount of reverb, tremolo adjustment for an adjustment to the speed of the latter plus another for the depth of said tremolo. All right, there is a master volume.

Tubules, it runs with four 6L6 and is certified by at least 6 preamp tubes, one finds a mix of 12AX7 and 12AT7. I do not know if it works in class A or class AB.

A small footswitch allows you to disable the reverb and tremolo.

This combo is flanked by 4 hp's fender, completely unidentifiable as possible to the faded but elegant look, marked HP's like the salad bowls with holes.

I found the quality of connections passable. it was not breathing resistance, but if he survived so far is already quite commendable.

UTILIZATION

This is an amp that is relatively simple to use, to move from one channel to another, one can use an AB box. The reverb and tremolo built are some nice extras. The sounds are excellent.

The amp lacks a bit of volume, in the sense that, for its four 6L6, it makes a tremendous noise, but bearable (where a marshall you have already twisted the ears).

SOUNDS

A first highlight of the machine was its ability to stay clean at high volumes. Even the master at 8 and 6-7 on the clean channel, it could still cleans out sounds good classifiable. It should be clubbed and the master and the preamp if you want to get a slight crunch. Very nice.

Moreover, to arrive at the base of her. I found the beautiful amp, unforgivably faithful to the touch, with a smooth changeover in the crunch. Crunch who, himself, had a nice smooth, regardless of the guitar used. The sound amplitude, depth, heat, light, everything came together for a real nice walk in one of the most beautiful sounds I know fender. The sound "normal" is a little dirtier, others would call it round, but with a fender, more generally sour, although it fell back on its feet in this mode. I focused on bright with lespaul, giving a nice krrrang in the upper midrange.

The clean could be multifaceted, depending on the settings and guitars, it could be dry, very funky, and then by increasing the bass and midrange, it could be juicier, and bluesy singing. The treble was sweet, a real pleasure.

OVERALL OPINION

I dug up a cheap market. I passed on the same prize to a young musician in my area that plays music, who wanted a Fender quality and not too many gold coins. He wanted his fender, he wept with joy. This amp is a delight. It's not really what I would call gaineux, but he appears comfortable on the clean and light crunch. The modularity of sounds available makes it a good ally for all kinds of guitars and genres.
