-For vintage sounds
Great-clean with great headroom. the sound does not easily crunch.
It will overdrive channel crunch to overdrive. the boost is very useful to push in the last entrenchment.

this amp is very dynamic with a lot of harmonics (thanks to EL84). the 20W are inflated to steroids. more than enough for group play (for me by garage rock).

I bought 6 months ago OCCAZ. super happy, I like the sound. The amp exudes strength, simplicity and efficiency.
this is my second amp lamps. (Before I RG50TC 50 watt EL34)
excellent value for money.
I'm curious to try the other model series of the statesman.

UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 months, I possdais a Vox AC30 that I loved but lacked versatility (especially in the distortion), the Statesman Entire given me satisfaction, I just love everything about this amp, it is fairly lightweight, good quality of Sonoita extras and a pretty face.
In this price range and up to 1000's The AMP it takes to rock, I tried a Laney lionheart home and he could not pin the Statesman, if you alos like the rock of yesterday and today, that you like also the era of hard and you do NWPD 700-800 rflechiss more!
Report quality more than acceptable price I ordered it on silent in DV247 rduction I got it for 680 fdp included.
I would do without this choice hsit one second

SOUNDS

For jazz / rock / hard is Good

Start on a PC 60 I t's quite disturbed at dpart defined by the "explosiveness" it's true that I left a AD50VT (not a monster of energy) and the clarity and the smallest intonations on how to play.

Extraordinary richness and dtail sounds and exceptional clarity and brightness a bit like the Fender Hot Rod with which I have long hsit!

The variety of sound can not just be standard but there are sound quality (as it is a site from the vintage amp sound british in the us (cf see Judge Dredd s / video in the black box on the H & K Quad El 84 sharing the same struture as the dual 84 El sf power 40w instead of 20w)

There is no sound that I really dtest, the best compliment one can make is that redcouvre songs with a sentence and a wealth of sounds (harmonic touch and play) we do not have supper.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months
Most have a wealth of harmonic and dynamic dtail
Least not to have a wider range of sounds (but it is true that I leave a Valvetronix AD50) and an output line Xlr Like Koch

I tried the hot rod fender (surf green with versions hp celestion G80 are the ones that attracted me the most with 30 vintage and not apprci std version to the Eminence blah blah!) It Apparently there are big problems of reliability (breakdown Resistors on a circuit Shma erroneous and quality construction so and so. I had a long and famous hsit clear sound but I enthousisam its really not discharge to a volume control (mouth right away) and crunch sosna anecdotal and saturation!

The Koch also does an alternative:
The Studiotone 2 a little short (good sound but little amp sounds c trs medium)
The Twintone 2assez sduisant but in 1200 a budget too much for me.

I also tried the version H & K 25th Anniversary 20w 600 trs good question (amp lamp) but with less the possibility that the Dual el 84.

The quality of cosntruction really trssrieuse (Germany requires) and pure 840 ena we pay for!
So R / Q / P trs trs good!

UTILIZATION

Config. very simple (even I have included): 2 channels (bright and distortion.) function "Twang" to make the sound more clear "net" and "vintage", and "boost" function for the distortion have a more aggressive (which I believe is much better than Marshall. I want a vintage sound, so yes it suits me perfectly, I play it with an Ibanez Prestige RGA121 (mounted with Seymour Duncan SH1 and SH4 always for its Vintage). Overall whatever settings you remain in the crystal clear sound, it's not an amp designed for heavy metal, therefore the sound is bold to forget: there are many means by pushing the max gain but there is more music.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since November 2009, before that I tried a Vox AC30 CC2 and a Peavey Classic 30. Dual EL84 is less expensive than the Vox and more expensive than the Peavey. The Vox has no distortion itself and the Classic did not have a distortion. as incisive and did not sound that met my expectations as well as that of Hughes And Kettner.

All Tube 20w amp, equipped with EL 84. 2 channels, bright, saturated one. Opportunity to clear the dirty with a function "twang" and boost the saturation just a boost. After a very characteristic Blues Junior, I was looking for a little more versatility without losing the heat lamps. So I tried by chance that H & K that I was advised by the vendor at the bottom of my home.

In the clear: I was immediately surprised by the clarity and warmth of her with my firebird equipped minihumbucker. The amp is powerful, but the lights react even at low volumes. By mounting it becomes smooth, and not at all aggressive. The lamps are operated. I regret:

Amp that is very tolerant of external effects. That said, I am very happy with the basic sounds, I use with little effect (tremolo, delay, wah)

OVERALL OPINION

I use the past week, this amp suits me in every way! Value for money excellent (but I got a prize) if he turns around 850 €, and then it becomes limit price.

Anyway, this little big 20w is surprising. It brings the freshness of sounds as clear and powerful distortion.

UTILIZATION

I played with a combination Pod XT Live and power engine 60, and what I wanted, c'tait an amp that can give me sound out vintage and modern without these buttons rglages to find the right note.
The HK is perfect for my ears, that's really what I wanted.
Can I get his jazz, funk, blues, crunch, rock. For the metal, it lacks a bit of power, but it gets very heavy when the Rock even with good rglages.

This is 1 year I use the amp and it was a year and a half as I wanted.
What I like most is its simplicity and versatility Audible (vintage and modern)
I think it's excellent value / quality prices
I would do the purchase of this amp no problem. I would like other amps, of course, but I would keep this amp, I think it goes very well with my style of play I would take other more typ amp for a choice of music more focused . I'd go see spares when other worlds)
