    Don't sweat the Technics

Would DJing have evolved as it did without this turntable? So many pivotal developments in one unit, from the direct drive motor, the almost instant start time, the pitch control, and even the strobe dots. Stone cold design classic, though pretty archaic now I guess. That hasn't stopped then reissuing it, though I'd rather have a vintage model.

I find that with this stunning platinum, the cell presents an inclination of a few degrees to the inside ... is something desired by the manufacturer or is it an anomaly and there enin he has a way to adjust it for the cell to be perfectly perpendicular to the plane of the disk?
    thank you

Obviously big fat references. For the scratch is the IDAL. Touch and ultra-flexible prcis a rgal ... Unfortunately it's not a platinum finish, only a pitch of + -8%, and nothing else (and yet have the most expensive on the market ...) But beware the silent technics only brand to have the patent allowing him to have this quality of platinum, and this patent is prim end of 2004. The concurrency will be able to build decks of quality normally itch causing lower prices and a discount page technics in both these rates on the refinement of his turntables. The march is expected to explode in mid-2005 ... Finally ...

    - I use it for 1 month
    - + What I love is that you can tinker with is the same, the less torque motor (dj but more than enough) and a pitch is + -8%
    - I had a T80 stanton
    - Nine is a shame, so I bought used
    - 400 Pair of course, but I took a nine or a ttx pdx

    - How long have you use it?

In fact I do not use more than 9 years (I found better) but I had for 5 long years ... Those who say that can not compete Vestax scratch issue, I agree completely, on the other hand Question ... er mix I laugh, Vestax is very far superior to the Technics on this point
    - What is so special that you like most and least?

While at the plate, it is undoubtedly the very best, with a good pair of felt, the disc slides without stop, unlike a lot of decks "cheap" as gemini, and bst consors .
For it is a pitch against the infamous horror, not specific to one penny goes wrong all the time (when you see your plate instead of speed up slow when you have a% you will …

While at the plate, it is undoubtedly the very best, with a good pair of felt, the disc slides without stop, unlike a lot of decks "cheap" as gemini, and bst consors .
For it is a pitch against the infamous horror, not specific to one penny goes wrong all the time (when you see your plate instead of speed up slow when you have a% you will understand). The mix requires a +0.2% you forget, we must accelerate the other deck to enter a range of the pitch more comfortable on the other ...
    - Have you tried many other models before buying it?

I tried at a friend of BST, sub brands such as FTE and others ... I soon realized the obvious: It would be better saved to buy Technics, at the time (1994) could not compete with it .
    - How would you rate the quality / price?

We found new ones in Switzerland for less than 600 CHF (325 €), since they, like all the decks in general, outbreaks. Things certainly due to the practice of deejaying, which has become widespread. Before there were only discos, mobile disco and rare hip hop DJ who get them. With the advent of technology, demand has increased considerably ...
They are found in a time of good prices, if you're hardcore, do not hesitate, except the pitch, they are indestructible.
-With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Well at the time, yes, of course, but now there are much better turntables. The conccurents after searching for years to have the recipe without success eventually find it ... And then, wherever you go, you will only find TECHNICS, so much to buy, you mixerez "at home"

The Technics Sl 1200 MK2 are a series of turntables that have actually been around for a while now. The MK2’s are more on the lower end of the totem pole because there are upgraded versions now of these. But they are classic and still built to last. The original model of this line was the SL 1200 then the MK2’s started, the MK2 I think came out in the 80’s and it was huge through out the up and coming world of hip hop and rap music, which is part of the reason the Technics SL 1200 MK2 made its way to the united states. I like the tone arm, its very sturdy and it’s a classic design with the S shape, turntables today don’t have these.

The MK2’s came out a while back in Europe but made there way over here to the US and am I glad they did! They are very good turntables, they are exactly what a DJ needs, even today with everything going digital and dj’s switching over to computer software to dj on. There are a few dj’s who still own these myself included who value the real art of dj’ing.

Overall these were and still are great turntable’s they are built to last, very solid structure and very sturdy. They are ready for any gig you have and will not break on your even when getting them in and out of the back of the van. You can even purchase a casing for them so you don’t damage them at all. Actually purchasing parts for the Yamaha SL MK2’s is pretty easy because Yamaha still manufacturers these and pretty much all of there machines keep the same parts line so if you ever need a fix even if its discontinued you can still purchase a part. Great turntables!
