Basically I needed a USB card with a laptop (Toshiba T2060 Core Duo) to use as a super multi + expander sequences with a master keyboard.

Used with Cubase comes with various VST instruments and, no latency issues. on the other hand in using MIDI VST instrum with big problems of cracking, distortion, various denominations, so can not use.
Problem also rumors of Appere masses are resolved by cutting the ground wire of the PC.
So believing that the problem came from the laptop, I sold the card and I install on my PC desktop: 2.2 GHz with 1024 amd2 DDRAM and the sata2.Et dd, oh surprise, even probleme.Donc j 'I reinstall my PCI card aps th trs it works well.

Good latency (up to 2 ms ...) but, I repeat BIG cracking, despite the two interventions on less softs Cubase SX and Tracktion ... In use for three months now, but found for sesame crunch since yesterday, that's why I write this opinion (which is only mine, but one to which I refer most often. ..) => use the ASIO4ALL driver => more crack ... Amazing is not it? I "twist" effects, plugins, vst, instruments in all directions, and presto, miracke over crunch ...
My conclusion, great product (for the use I have) but ACHTUNG: use the ASIO4ALL drivers, is a board ...

Update of 21/06/07: In fact, drivers asio4all or not, bp saturation of its persistent. Back to square one manufacturer. No bueno at all at all. I will change the map ...
after 1820 without a problem, I trusted E-MU, baaaah ... not anymore. Too bad.

The EMU 0404 is connected to the PC via USB. The PC is running XP Pro. The software used is Visual Analysis and RMAA.

OVERALL OPINION

After 6 months of use this is my opinion:

The results are extremely bad with -36 dB crosstalk between the channel B to channel A for -110 dB announced.
After numerous contacts with the creative hotline, the unit I was replaced by a new 0404 USB which presents exactly the same defects.
Rather than offer me a solution, Creative has preferred not to give me any news despite several reminders.

My installation does not worry too possible I'm on PC and I used it with Cubase LE. Although the connections are varied and intressant sound quality more than adequate with a latency trslgre.
