I bought this sound card for broadcast on Radio Paradise (first radio station in Britain with 22,100 daily listeners) to replace a Soundblaster Audigy, which caused me some problems (with MP3 playback disappearance of a second random image or two in the middle of reading).
PC Config broadcast radio (MP3 192 Kbps): DD 120 GB and 80 GB HDD (backup), DDR 512 memory 2700, Athlon 2200 + process, Systm WinXP, software distribution Raduga (that German ).

UTILIZATION

No problem with XP in less than 2 minutes it's over. My son (6 years) could have done.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers seem carefree, easy to install and uninstall, and stable. Last day rgulire M Audio site (in French! Is the joy).
I use Raduga broadcast on this map, no multitrack editing.
I regret the lack of rglage PC: the fact of using the USB does not allow the PC to the Audiophile reconnatre as a SCSI: no "console" in the properties rgler s PC audio. Fortunately even when the volume is adjustable on the case ...

OVERALL OPINION

My only concern: Buy on the net, the map n'tait not come with the power supply (yes, it takes one!) I have to wait a week for rcuprer the thing. .. The power supply is not Intgr origne packaging, do not forget the rclamer!
I use the Audiophile for ten continuous days (24/24) for the radio broadcast. Everything works perfectly, sound 16 bit / 44100 Hz is perfect: Reading pafaite no default, enchantment perfect MP3. A simple and reliable card that is perfect to use radio.
For 229 Euro I'm surprised such a quality.

THE BALL! This is what can be said of the M-Audio Audiophile USB. Audio interface 2 In / 2 Out, the Audiophile is delivered with its power supply and USB cable. It works in 24 Duplex Bits / 48 kHz, and either 24/96 or 2 In 2 Out but you have to choose. However, it must be objective, the price should not ask for the moon and all those who wish acqurir nice if the sound card for this budget are probably not need to work in full duplex in 24/96 . On a G3, it works on a G4, a roll, a concern no XP, W2000 APRS you, and everything in perfect happiness. Plug it, it installs the driver and "here we go !"... but happiness for those who do not want to hear about particulire configuration and risky.

OVERALL OPINION

We regret the absence of pre-amp microphone that can be added with the optional M-Audio Audio Buddy, or move to version Duo. Only the Delta 44, 66, Quattro or Omni Studio which is found in the Full Duplex 24/96 between 4 and 6 inputs, Please!
M-AUDIO, ... is that of happiness.

The features are good trs next to the price.

Installation problem.
m-audio feed is wrong.
obliged to send me un.attente eight days more.

they follow you until the problem ...!!! RESOLUTION of hat ..

I use the card for a week.
what I like most is stability and the quality of sound.

what I like least is the restriction of the format usb1.pas dsp embarqu.pas of mixage.pas routing ....

... But for the price!!

First M-Audio's hotline is really on top!
Only the cost of the call remains shamefully lev .... brief

The case is clear, we regret the connection before noon on the cot, some rpondront me, even get some? ...... OK
I unfortunately test on a PC motherboard ram512 atlhon 700 (I do not know) not on top.
I bought it for MIDI, a few virtual instrument.

With the last update I board encountered some problem:

Stop the activity of twelve o'clock 10min APRS use in Logic Audio and starts cracking even with very high latency RULES. (Has surely come to my PC, but hey .... ..)
SoundForge same thing in his creaking after a few minutes.
M_audio trs quickly sent me a new transformer.
The problem would not be rsolu but I board since switched to another for the same version of firewire.

OVERALL OPINION

Listen to me:
THE SOUND IS BEAUTIFUL!!

My use via my config does not allow me to DPOS an objective opinion, just give you the experience I had with the audiophile usb.
However DPOS I notice that I would have to test the firewire audiophile.

Last thing, when one sees the arrival of the same card with the firewire hardware monitor version for 50 dollars more, I think we should not hesitate to take it (Version firewire course!)

Easy installation, no pb for this cot against the manual is zero, there's nothing in it ... but there's nothing good to say of head way ...
small problem with drivers (sometimes you restarting the PC), but I ca dja more gallery that with other hardware.

Latency ... the better it is a good PC! on my stationary y 'aun bit but on my laptop is inaudible
2 tracks can be recorded in analog, 2 numriques ... 4 tracks numrique t have much better but the price ... perhaps it will be for next time
I read 10 pb-free tracks ... I have not tried more but ca dpend surtt the PC!

I love his headphones facade in very handy for recording, multiple outputs are also super practical! the sound is impecable
The report quality is very good price and then some ... one finds new 230 euros ... I have paid 280 THE TIME ...
I do it again this choice as there k'il similar pa for the same price!
