I was looking for a more complete my liquid saffire card. With a talkback system and additional entries without having to go through ADAT. I use it with external preamps for recording sound all instruments. Use pro.

UTILIZATION

Ultra-stable driver with Cubase, ProTools. Latency and very correct anyway close to 0 for the return of entries for the catch. Anyway everyone knows that the RME cards are among the best in this area.

GETTING STARTED

Install without problem. Very simple config. No icompatibilité. Manual clear, accurate, complete.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few days. Before buying I had a Zen Studio Antelope but I have not kept. The difference between the converter / preamp Antelope compared to the Fireface not worth 600 euros or the lack of ergonomics.
Everything is well thought out in the Fireface. The remote control accessory is perfect and provides (for 150 euros) to use a monitoring system such Bigknob. In addition everything is done digitally, therefore no risk that the signal is colored by the monitoring. The talkback function is perfect and very well thought out.
on the other hand I think telecomande is necessary because there is no knob for overall volume on the map.
