I bought this interface first for its price. It seemed really cheap.
I made a home use, connecting a guitar or bass amp output, microphone occasionally, and my PC sound. It is lit when it is ON all the time so.
The amp above is very significant, although already having an amp in my loop, we reached the peak fast enough. I'm not very familiar with the more gear interface, I still use it perhaps as a ham.

UTILIZATION

The plug 'n play system works very well. You plug it works.
Regarding recording mono / multi-tracks, I do not comment, computer music puts my PC to its knees.

GETTING STARTED

5 months of use, I have not encountered a hardware problem or incompatibility.
The case does its thing, it works.

OVERALL OPINION

5 months of ownership, I will not regret my purchase.
It is very suitable in a home use, the power supply by USB is a real plus for mobility, but the low number of tracks and settings are in fact not really a scene tools / studio.

The price fell further (acquired € 140 in January, now it is in the 120), if it's small, rugged equipment you need, I think this is one of the best products in the market.

Usb connection, windows 7, never had a crash in a year of use.
By noon, I Synths 5 connected in series above, no crash either.

Excellent and impressive even with a very low latency setting

How many tracks you get record / playback simultaneously? ...
Even with 8 tracks VSt, the card does not move (I have a pc with 8gb of ram)

Buffer with 512 I latency pretty good, but I stay the buffer.

Latency. The other sound card I had, which was worse, was still a much better latency, no doubt.
After that, it is regrettable that it is the breath of the pre-amp that appears discreetly before the three quarters in the knob, and you can not miss it, dice it exceeds three quarters.
This does not mean that the pre-amps are EXCELLENT!
Without the problem of breath, it was really beautiful, but I is not to complain, do not forget the price.
I love + is everything else (headroom preamp, really good converters, that it is robust hence its metal chassis. And also, the fact that it is quite small.

If you just money to buy you, DARK! If you have more than 500th, take up his new mid-range card. If you can not take you as the entry level, DARK this sound card!

A very good sound card, which for the moment has never disappointed me.

I bought this interface to replace my Tascam US-428 that no longer hold water, particularly because of win 7.
With this change I went from 2 to 4 inputs and I lost control interface tascam.

For my part, 2 inputs are sufficient, I am not limited (for those who need more, Steinberg has released a version 4 inputs equivalent to the UR22), for against the control surface but I miss n ' there was no equivalent to US428 less than 200 €.

For the technical part:

Overall, this is the best quality / price I found report.

I put 9/10 just for the phantom power button which is located at the rear of the case.

UTILIZATION

No worries with the installation.
No worries stability.
I use Reaper as DAW under Win 7.
Very low latency.

I do not know if the drivers are updated, those that I have works perfectly so ...

So perfect.

GETTING STARTED

The configuration for someone who has a little experience does not pose any problems.
The asio part declaration midi inputs, etc ... is always a bit tricky but it is more related to the DAW at the interface ur22 in itself.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year and I am truly amazed at the ease of use.

The preamps are really good, I do not use my audi buddy of all m-audio.

I have not tried 50 models before choosing this one but I would do the same choice without problem, especially at this price point ...
I plan to complete a MIDI control surface usb cheap to get back at the us438.

In summary, you can go there with your eyes closed.
