Zarko Ljubic-Kirby ( Mr. Bluesfinger) was born in 1949., and plays guitar since 1963 . He was a member of several Zagreb (Croatia)local groups.In winter 1967 Mr.Toni Sabol (singer & keyboard player- founder of "The Creeps") heard him play in Zagreb on dance gig at"Student Center" , and offered him to join "The Creeps" in Italy. Mr.Bluesfinger accepted and travelled to Torino, Italy where in the famous club "No. 1" he performed with "The Creeps" for one year. Kirby participated in many jam-sessions but particularly with well known American jazz&gospel group "The Peter's Sisters". Over several years he performed in Italy, France, Germany & Switzerland. After leaving "The Creeps" he lived and played for 5 years in the famous Cairo (Egypt) old hotel "The Hilton on The Nile ". In 1974 he joined "Tony Studeny and The New Robots Group" . In 1992 he returned from Tunisia and Lybia to Zagreb and continued to perform in many places as "Duo Bluefinger" with his good friend virtuoso guitarist Boris Bursac. Recently, in famous Zagreb blues club SAX Mr.Bluesfinger held a solo performance playing acoustic blues . He founded "Old Blues Band" in 2010 and group performed on April 22 , 2010 in well known blues club "Bikers Beer Factory" ( Pub) in Zagreb,SAX , BP Club and FAS. He now lives and plays blues in Malinska - Adriatic Sea- Island Krk where he has a house, performing with his friends . Kirby is a specialist in acoustic blues and he is mostly influenced by Sam Lightnin Hopkins ,Skip James and R.L. Burnside.
