Some online retailers are already accepting pre-orders for Acou6tics, the new virtual instrument from Vir2 Instruments.
Acou6tics is the acoustic version of the Electri6ity electric guitar library and will be available in VST, AU and RTAS plug-in formats for Mac OS X and Windows, as well as in Kontakt 5 version.
The virtual instrument features the sound of 6 different acoustic guitars (steel strings, 12 strings, nylon strings, a ukulele, a mandoline and a guitarlele) played with fingers and pick.
Vir2 adds that they used the Blumlein stereo mic placement technique along with the piezo capture and you will find multiple articulations for each instrument (sustains, mutes, legatos, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, harmonics…) as well as effets.
The mega library features between 3000 and 7000 samples per instruments (between 4GB and 8GB in wav non compressed format).
Acou6tics price announced is $399.95 / 305€ but during the pre-order period, you can get a special price of $299.95 / 228€. The instrument should be released this month. More info at www.vir2.com.
