Rayzoon Jamstix 2 is an advanced VST drumming program that will works with many DAW’s and production programs. I have used it with Cubase and FL Studio many times. It comes with a built in mixer and compressor and has some of the best drum samples that I have heard out of these types of VST’s. You can easily use the MIDI outputs or Key Mapping features to work with EZ Drummer or Addictive Drums which I both own. I would not say that Jamstix 2 is better than Addictive Drums or EQ Drummer but it works and sounds great.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Installing it was very quick and easy and it seems to be very stable. It has not crashed nor does it use much CPU to run it multiple times. The drum library is over 1 GB packed with sounds and you can even purchase other kits. One feature that I really liked with the Rayzoon Jamstix is the real time fill generator. The fill generator works in real time off of the style of song and drummer used.

OVERALL OPINION

All of the sounds and samples are very good, I do not think they are as good as EZ Drummer though. But if you purchase some of the expansion kits then you will start to get some really good kits, but the basic one that comes with Jamstix 2 does no appeal to me that much. This drum program is worth the money spent because it doesn’t cost that much and it has some really good features. The interface is better than many other drumming VST’s that I have used and it is very user friendly. If you want to see how good it is you can download the demo first before purchasing the full version to see if you will like it. I have been using it for a while and I am very satisfied with this software though I prefer EZ Drummer over Jamstix.

The general configuration is not very clear, but it is not too complicated with the manual. Cons by the app is very particular, and the menus are scattered everywhere in the editing window. This leaves an impression a little messy because there is lots of info on the screen.

The manual is clear, it is essential to understand the philosophy of the app.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using 3 / 4 months, I'm moderately satisfied because I can not fully exploit it.
In fact the principle is indeed innovative, even brilliant. We choose a drum kit, choosing a style of play (rock, funk, latin, hip hop, etc.), we choose a drummer who will play the kit and the style in its own way. There are several drummers so many different sensitivities of play.

The problem is that I bought this software because I wanted an app that can make me realistic drum rhythms, like a real drummer. Except that in the results I always pass the time to tamper with the settings app, the possibilities are immense, but I can not get "fills" realistic raids toms, crash, splash often start in all meaning. It must then edit the actions, and I find editing in the software not obvious over the fact that too edit myself because for me this software loses its interest, as if to repeat the rhythmic hand, I have other software for that.

Maybe it's me that does not serve me well in the soft, or did not sufficiently explore the different possibilities, but I always end my rhythm again by hand or with other software.

What I love most: the setting possibilities are immense, the software is very comprehensive, can drag and drop around noon in the sequencer can edit each measure patterns created by the drummer, can insert other plug ins in the software for unauthorized use of other kits (there are templates for Battery, BFD, superior drummer etc.), possibility to control the software with audio, reverb integrated mixer with EQ and compressor on each slice, multiple outputs, and a multitude of parameters to humanize the game's drummer (emphasis fills on the toms and cymbals, Schuffle, random velocity, ghost notes, etc., etc., etc. there are plenty).

What I like least, I would like bah obtain realistic results and everything but every time the result is "weird", it seems that playing drums is next to the plate. This is perhaps because I open Jamstix after advancing on my songs and try to find a rhythm that goes on my com. Should maybe I go to the rhythmic jamstix to build my songs?

I think what bothers me most is that I find hard to predict what will give the setting of any parameter, it is difficult from an idea in mind and realize with jamstix, c ' is always the software that "requires" a statement and I find it difficult to control. In fact once you understand the principle, the software is not very complicated. What I find strange is that I find myself with a gap between what I would do this by setting the parameters and the result I get actually, I can not control the software.

I own battery Ni and Stylus RMX.

The value for money is very good, the person who edits this software a lot of merit and did a great job.

I'll try to dig again, but I wish that the software is a bit more direct in efficiency.

Considering the price, it's still a good tool and I encourage people to try it if possible.
