OVERALL OPINION

Joel has been using one month, after falling in love trilogy (atmospheric follows ..)
C tt simplemt huge! Yet jsuis drummer and my colleagues often (reactionary) are afraid pr dl species survival before the machines are wrong .. i! 7.5 giga DSONE therefore, a loss of hearing loops and a great new feature allows chaos ki ds introduce variations the loop! Good jsuis will not clear the site for the c ca not jsuis seller ..
And then I play midi with my ddrum and the X c + bcp simple register homestudio rather Acoustik k1 battery!

The installation is perfect, that said if you update from a stylus is a little mess as stylus is ... and that sessions or you use it always opens with it. that is an update that is not update since the RMX version does not replace the old .. I'm afraid not to be clear but basically it's still sucks to log you want to improve RMX in which you must ultimately make the two live instances (a serious power sucks !!!). manual it going but there are so many options that the practice is essential ..

Time to get serious ... this plug in is amazing .. the bank is amazing whether to play live with loops prprogrammes or to compose his own kit (I ca personal) is in inexhaustible especially as the integrated effects (compress, equal, and yes .. revberb) are exellent qualitsurtout compressors actually) trs sincrement I plug in crack bcp Rythmik (I'll throw the stone!) but I decided to buy it because besides the price is completely amazing ... (and ca reassure my editor that flip to finish in zonza ..)
I invite all srieusement connoisseurs Audiofanzine me find a plug to hasten East hiphop, drum n bass, trip hop ect ... more crazy that Stylus RMX.! for those who forgot that stylus pratik in RMX, all loops are playable in all the time without deformation! (and I mean it is not stretching the whole rotten intackt! in fact it is not stretching ..) and of course a contrast to the former, this one puts all the elements that make up the loops available (tttout the kik, the snares, the HH while I tell you whore)
I love this VST! buy it for it grows you'll thank me APRS, is not 2 worry

The box of this product is superb!
2 DVDs + 1 DVD installation of video tutorials.
The installation could be simplified because you have to do some manipulations yourself. (Fortunately there is a video tutorial for guidance.) Files General setup would be much more comfortable.
No compatibility problem with my setup: Athlon 1.8GHz, 1GB RAM, 32GB HDD, Win XP and Logic Audio Platinum 5.5.0 Emagic EMI sound card with 2 / 6.
After handling installation, it is advisable to make the update to version 1.5 to download from the Spectrasonics website.
There, I had problems. Indeed, one must apply several updates installers who do different parts of the plug-in. I may be due to poor handling but I reinstall Stylus RMX 5 times to get a stable configuration. Indeed, I encountered the following problem after the update: put the plug in 2 minutes before load in logic (that long!), Then he rowed and finally it was impossible to close it if it was planted the entire system and restart the computer ...! I wrote to Spectrasonics and ask them if there was an order in the application of the update installers 1.5 to avoid my problem he had never met before. Answer: no particular order to comply. The 6th time, I still tried the following order, which works great! 1 - Plug in install update 2 -
Core Library update 3 install - install Doc 4 - Sage converter. So why all the fuss?
So far, everything works perfectly!
The downside is the lack of printed manual you love always read at night in bed warm ...
The + is the DVD of video tutorials which is very well done and that we can complete with downloadable videos with the update on the Spectrasonics site. We can say that they are teachers! Chapeau!

OVERALL OPINION

Stylus RMX is amazing.
It will allow eager to enrich their music cuts thereof rhythmic qualities and intuitively. The sound library is huge and varied reasons.
For those who have time to tinker, create and refine, Stylus RMX will also meet since you can use sounds and plug as drum grooves and composing his own keyboard! All proposed grooves with soft sounds configurable and can be varied by the "chaos" that brings the random interpretation. The drag and drop is fun because it can take just played the groove (in drag / drop with the mouse) by the plug and paste it into the host sequencer. It then becomes a midi track on which to act at will and any change in its own way.
Stylus RMX is a monster creative. It multiplies the inspiration. It has the advantage of being customizable what is sought by all. His grooves become ours.
The sound quality is amazing. I was looking for a plug of this caliber to
offer my bass and my guitar a strong ally for the groove! It's done!
For those who want even more, it is possible to extend the bank of sounds and grooves with extensions that provide other styles!
The price / quality ratio is excellent even if I still hard to put that kind of money for simple DVD ... but what a job!
I use it for one month and it accompanies all my components in a + or - quiet.
Product to advise so.

Installation is quick and painless. No conflict. At this configuration can not be easier because everything happens automatically. There is no manual, but much better than that, a DVD tutorial complete and very well done. Well the DVD is in English but the commentators speak quite slowly and articulate well, everything is perfectly clear.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Config. : Pentium D920 dual-core 2x2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB SATA, MOTU 24I / O.
The software works perfectly, full stability, I work with Cubase SX3 and Stylus RMX means well with him. It does take a bit (CPU) but nothing too serious. Performance level ... it's simply amazing!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for three days. What I like most: sound quality, complex patterns, the huge library of sounds, rhythms, effects and especially the design of this software, I have never seen, to date, some something better in this area, everything is so clear, intuitive and at the same time more than complete. Ease of use is disarming. The DVD tutorial (almost) useless.
What I like least:??
Price level is really cheap for what it is, it's still an amount but I feel to have received much more than what I spent.
If there is a product I would call it a must: Stylus RMX not hesitate!

Having a Dual Core at 3.2 GHz with 4 GB of RAM running XP, VST going smoothly, as usual, is the addition of other VST that can cause problems.

I have instructed the Bank Premier Beats "which adds a touch more trip hop and Stylus works great.

OVERALL OPINION

Stylus RMS is very comprehensive (as in the loops in the samples) it offers a wide selection of styles adapted to a lot of music production, knowing that the opening is complete in both official expansion RMX other as Prime beats etc ...

The sound quality is really good and the chaos function allows you to vary the different rhythms and samples, excellent!

The 8 parts available are really sufficient for you to get a punchy rhythmic and very complex!

Powerful, easy to use, sounds great VST and opportunities as usual with Spectrasonics, are remarkable!

Stylus RMX has worked on both of my pc's to a great standard. I have used it on a low end computer (1.8GHZ pentium and 1gb ram) as well as my current (2.5GHZ Core2Quad & 4GB ram) and it runs decently on both. Some of the sounds on the low end PC end up coming out choppy in the final mix, though I think this could be a cause of my lack of CPU power. All the sounds and drum samples in Stylus RMX are easily accessable and findable. They are all organised into genres and are quick to load. It works nicely in both of the DAW's that I use, Ableton and FL Studio.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

This software runs fine in both FL Studio and Ableton. I picked this as my drum VST of choice for ableton as it does not have a step sequencer on par with FL Studio. However it does has its use in FL Studio, as the actual drum sounds on offer are brilliant and some of the loops are great. The bank of stock drums in this VST are much better than Battery in my opinion and they are all well EQ'd already so you don't have to tune out the bad frequencys in the bassy drums. It weighs in at about 12 GB, a very good size for software filled with so many different samples and loops. Sometimes bad patches can overload my CPU and cause crashes, so if you are on a low end computer, watch out. I'm not sure if it is specific patches causing this or the VST itself.

OVERALL OPINION

All of the clap sounds in this VST are brilliant, as are the main drum kicks. The snares are snappy and fit well with most tracks. However its the electric drums that seem to let down this VST. The club drums are pretty flat and lack any real energy. Maybe this is because they are not mixed so well. I would reccomend layering these drums as much as any other drums. I cannot seem to find a search function on the VST too, this makes finding specific sounds a damn nightmare. This VST however is a vital piece to my music and my songs would be a lot less well off without some of the percussion elements that come from this VST. I reccomend Stylus RMX to anybody.

While there is over 7 GB of sounds just in the main release, I would have liked to see more in certain areas. For example, there are at least 12 menu's worth of snares, and only 4 or 5 octaves worth of cymbals. It still covers everything you need, but it could possibly be balanced a little more. I would have liked to see a few more processing options within the VST interface, but the sounds are so nice you very rarely consider processing them any more. Regardless, if you're into hip hop, electronica, or even if you want live-sounding drums either from a preexisting groove or in your own patterns, Stylus will handle your needs. I don't know of a better drum module, and according to most critics and publications, neither do they.

$200 or so

If you have any experience in using VSTs, this is very easy to use. If not, you can learn quickly. It requires more patching than say Battery, but it gives you infinitely more options in terms of grooves etc. When you find a groove you like, you just drag it and drop it on a channel and it snaps itself to your project tempo. Nothing could be easier.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The sound quality of Stylus RMX is ridiculous. Every sound has been processed and tweaked to the nth degree, and while that statement can put you off, in this case, it sounds awesome. There is every conceivable type of drum sound in its libraries, and the grooves are varied and very live. Nothing sounds fake or electronic. All of the sounds from the grooves can be used individually if you prefer to build your own kits.

The quality is great. I haven't had it lose my kits or stop working on me. Its very stable.

OVERALL OPINION

I love this product. It gives me virtually every drum sound I could possibly imagine in one tight package. If I don't feel like creating my own pattern, or feel like backing up my pattern with a quieter live loop, it is amazingly easy to pick a groove and throw it on your track. The sounds are fantastic, and it seems to be engineered towards hip hop heads, so it is right up my alley. Spectrasonics is a very trustworthy VST manufacturer. Grab Trilogy as an accompaniment to Stylus and your bottom end is Vida Guerra. PHAT!
