Oakley Sound Systems TM3030

Here is a relatively unknown clone of the famous TB303.
This clone is a do it yourself (soldering, research components).
It took time but the sound is to go.
The module does not understand the sequencer, but the microcontroller recognizes well the notes will be accented (depending on velocity) and the slide when two notes are linked.
I added some modifications to extend its possibilities.
In addition to the standard knobs, so I added a knob to vary the portamento, a change in the decay of the VCA and filter FM (injection of a waveform of the VCO to the filter).

UTILIZATION

The module is controlled by noon (keyboard or sequencer) and is compact (it depends on the case used).

SOUNDS

I do not have enough perspective to say whether the TM3030 sounds better than another clone 303 (x0x0b0x, ...).
Grain may vary depending on components used, in fact you can have the choice between some components of which are virtually untraceable origins and components of substitutions.
For my part I really like the grain and I have not used all components of origins

OVERALL OPINION

I am very happy with the sound and possibilities of this clone.
However, it must be very patient, having base in electronics and understand English (and yes everything is explained in English).
The Sound Palette of this module is unique and different from my other analog synth.

SOUNDS

for sounds, I am unable to differancier the original!
both waveforms, the filter and the VCA, the accents and the slides are very well reproduced! brilliant!

the sound is excelling (if that's the sound of a TB-303 which is sought)!

OVERALL OPINION

good, I finished 2 weeks ago.

I had the opportunity to try a TB-303 shortly before, and frankly, I do not see the advantage of owning the original (except for the most passionate and wealth of us)!

cluck cost between 200 and 250 euros! frankly, should not GNER!

yes I would do the experiment! and frankly, I think I'll do it again!
PS: there is a demo on ACIDVOICE.COM and we need not to pay attention: this demo, the accented notes do not see their decay is set to a minimum while mine does! they have to make an assembly error, or have not taken the recommended component!

THIS MACHINE IS PERFECT AS THAT SOUNDS OF USE (for me is a plus MIDI) NOT FORGET THE COST !!!!!
I highly recommend ALL THOSE WHO CRY IN LIGHT OF THE COAST OF TB-303!

PS: it was my first electronic project (apart from waiting tlphonique being techno 4th) and I frankly galR not the only thing I did learn is doing good weld (and not take me very long to get there!). A hand has it's "coloring"! The position of each component so that its polarity is indicated on the plate! EASY!
