The Neptune is a monophonic synth midi analog PUR.
About 70 buttons with a button as a philosophy = 1 function.
OSC 3, ring modulation, filter HP and LP, 2 analog distortion.
The filters are made with transistors, so it is pure analog sound.
Envelope Filter and Amplitude.
Coupled with an LFO OSC 3. Glide ...
Anything that takes to techno sounds.
I put 8 as compared to SE1-X there is no memory.

SOUNDS
Those who think qu'aujourdh'hui a synth like the Virus has 70 effects with simulatanés spend their way!
The Neptune in a unique sound. And no synth comes close. The grain is bold, gritty, twisted, it's overwritten the baffles.
No synth does the same model.
Good to the contrary, you will not make the Neptune what a synth today!
For the pure analog technology, it's a great synth. He is ready to be what a minimoog or SE1-X, has a fraction of the price.
Added 05/2006: I now have a minimoog and SE1-X and Netptune not happen to them at the ankle.
You have to be honest. It is a synthetic quality, with its very German / Swedish (acute and slightly shrill). He can not make nice with low round against it excels in saturated and violent sounds!
OVERALL OPINION
