The French Guitar Contest debuts today

To participate in the new edition of the international French Guitar Contest, download the playback track created by Kenny Serane available at www.frenchguitarcontest.com. Record your best chorus over this playback, in one take with your electric guitar, on a video that you will post on YouTube (your hands and face must appear on the video) and send the filled out form available on the contest website. You can send your videos until May 11th, 2013. Complete rules are available on this page. And don’t forget to share your video and tell your friends if you want to have another chance to win the Public Vote prize.

This new edition will reward all the participants with a Guitar Pro 6 Lite license. 12 winners will be picked up and will win the following prizes:

• 1st prize: a Lâg Arkane A500 Old Port Shadow guitar with Seymour Duncan SH-PG1 and TB-6 pickups (a $1495 value)
• 2nd prize: a Lâg Tramontane TL100DCE acoustic guitar with its gig bag and a Lâg U77 Soprano ukulele ($840 value)
• 3rd prize: an SBGO Black Widow Relic overdrive pedal and a set of SP Custom Pure Origin “Auld Relic Finish” humbucker pickups ($774 value)
• 4th prize: a Name of Sound NOS’BOX Custom preamp pedal and a set of hand made NOS Zebra humbucking pickups ($715 value)
• 5th prize: a Two Notes Engineering Torpedo CAB pedal ($650)
• 6th prize: two Heptode Deep Crunch and Heavy Tone pedals ($530)

All 12 winner will also receive a 100 playback pack from GuitarPlayback.com and a Guitar Pro 6 full license.

Marceau Guitars will reward the Youtube Vote special winner with a $365-value Lucky Peterson humbucking pickup set and finally, a $190-value Lâg Ukulele U77 Concert will be offered to the –18 year-old winner.
